They were welcoming and we were greeted even though we didn't check in until 9:30ish. We opted to have our breakfast delivered to the room since we like to lounge around in the mornings. This was our FAVORITE part of the whole weekend! The first morning, we had scrambled eggs, sausage, and fresh fruit with blueberry pancakes. The second morning, we had stuffed french toast with bacon and fruit. Can I just say that I still crave both dishes, even after a month? They were the tastiest pancakes and stuffed french toast ever! Plus, we had a cute little view of the pond from our room. Long story short, I would highly recommend taking a weekend trip here. We booked the Appalachian Room and it had a fairly large jacuzzi as well, so that was a plus.

The owners are very nice, the grounds are peaceful, and the breakfasts are amazing. They actually have more than one breakfast option for you to choose. There is a nice winery and some pretty good restaurants within driving distance. The only down comment I'd like to make is that if you are a big person or are claustrophobic, do NOT book the Fox and Hound room. The bathroom is small, and the shower is very small, so you'd have to book a different room. But don't let that deter you from booking here. You'll like this place.

If you're seeking a lovely, affordable, friendly, comfortable, restful, dog -friendly bed and…read morebreakfast for you and your best furry friend, Meadowlark Farm is quite a find. Located on the bucolic outskirts of Warwick, NY, which is only 1.5 hours from NYC, Dorothy, the proprietor will welcome you and your pet dog into her cozy farmhouse. Unlike some B&B's that have priceless Ming vases and precious breakables, Meadowlark is more farm like--Dorothy loves dogs, has two of her own (both friendly), and isn't concerned about your dog roaming the house, or the enclosed outside property and garden. She also has a gorgeous and friendly horse that trots around an enclosed area on the other side where the dogs can roam. The breakfast is above average B&B fare - peach pancake pie one morning and a potato/zucchini/cheese bake the next day. The rooms are comfortable and nicely appointed. We stayed in the King Room, which has its own bathroom. The other two rooms share a bathroom. Warwick is only about a half hour drive over to the Port Jervis area where you and your pup can raft the Delaware River (see my Indian Head Canoe review for more info on that). Other fun stuff in Warwick -- there's an old fashioned drive-in movie theater and you can bring your pup to watch the movie with you in your car, and a lot of people brought their dogs to frolic on the ample grass fields. Warwick Valley Winery is dog friendly and makes good hard cider. And the town of Warwick itself is fun for a few hours. The surrounding area is gorgeous and pastoral. Right outside of Meadowlark Farm is a beautiful lightly trafficked road that makes a great country walk with your dog before starting the day's activities. There's also a dog park very close by. Makes a terrific weekend with just a small amount of driving and a lot of quiet country enjoyment. ,

I stayed here because I wanted to be away from the masses and crowds, and the Waterstone Inn fit the bill perfectly. The inn is literally across from the lake, so makes for a perfect summer or weekend getaway. The inn provides kayaks and canoes free of charge to go out on the lake. I communicated with Maureen before my stay and she was very quick to answer any questions. She was an absolute delight to converse with throughout my stay. She mentioned they weren't sure if they'd reopen after 2020, but they invested more money into the property and made some renovations to make the place more comfortable for guests, despite being an older property. All rooms/suites have a private bathroom and locks for privacy. I stayed in the spacious Bradford Suite on the 3rd floor, but all the rooms they offered seemed equally delightful to stay in when I took a peek. The place is so small and cozy that I didn't encounter any other guests except during breakfast hours (I think only one other room was occupied mid-week). Breakfast is included and is delicious...the food is freshly made to order. There are plenty of places to sit for breakfast whether it be a couch in the lounge, the window-side tables with lake views, or the front porch. The nautical and lake themes throughout the property were very well thought out and tasteful to give you a "getting away" type of feel. The porch area is welcoming and the perfect place where you can enjoy spectacular views of the action on the lake. The property has a parking lot on property directly adjacent to the inn which always felt safe and secure. The town of Greenwood Lake on the NJ/NY border is very cute, and was the filming location of a lesser known recent movie starring Morgan Freeman called the Magic of Belle Isle. All staff I encountered were amazingly welcoming, so I wouldn't hesitate to run as small businesses like these deserve to be supported.

We are travelers and this is one of the best accommodations we have every lodged. From the moment we arrived until the moment we checked out; the experience was A-1. The rooms are cozy, spacious, and equipped with all the amenities that you need. Our room, the Montclair was full of windows, and we had a full view of the lake. The homemade breakfasts were so savory and yummy and let me not forget to mention the unlimited coffee, tea and lemonade that was provided throughout the entire stay. The location is close to many restaurants, shops, and the beach. We had fun kayaking out on the lake. Kayaks and canoes are available on the premises at no additional cost. This was our first time staying in Greenwood Lake and we simply loved it. Our stay at the Waterstone Inn added to our amazing weekend getaway full of everlasting memories. A big shout out and thank you to Dennis, Maureen, Tara, and Christine for your exceptional hospitality and making us feel at home and we look forward to a return visit! Thank you!
