Stopped here with family after spending the day at the Warwick Valley Winery. It's located on one of the side streets off of the main road that runs through the downtown. Parking is metered and it looks like there's a small lot nearby as well. We all ordered The American Cheese Burger which came with a side of fries. Mediocre, as a restaurant fanatic, and as one who is constantly in search of a new, classic American restaurant & tavern, Greenview Tavern by no means was bad, yet not to that next level. The atmosphere is cozy, warm welcoming, great ambiance and choice of interior design, it's a small restaurant, although I wouldn't say it's too cramped. The service was fairly good, comparable, yet definitely not bad, the lady was welcoming, she did her job & did it well. The food was alright, for the price I'm not sure it was worth it. I ordered the Penne A La Vodka, I also came in with my mom, I don't recall what she got, however we both enjoyed our food. The restaurants on this block do have a reputation for being pricier, however for the quality of the food, service, and experience, I can't complain. I must say, compared to other local American restaurants & taverns right in town, such as G's, Greenview Tavern definitely strides ahead in the food & service category. Overall, not bad, just not outstanding. However, if it comes to it, and I need to grab a quick bite, I'll definitely consider returning. read more

Stopped by for a bite to eat around 2pm , granted it was Christmas Eve and they were about to close at 3pm so we ordered quick. My bf and I split a salad and a burger with fries. I'll start off to say that I didn't mention not even to my bf that I found two hairs in my salad. Two different colors also. I just want to say going forward I hope they keep an eye on that. But all things aside I just took the hairs out because I was starving and just hoped my meal would be great apart from this minor inconvenience. The salad greens and toppings were all fresh. Cucumber, cherry tomatoes and onions were all crunchy and amazing quality. The vinaigrette was light and zesty , it coated/ accompanied the salad perfectly. For the burger we got the bbq one and ordered it medium. It came out a great and easy juicy! The fries we ordered were truffle but we were given the regular ones which no fuss but would have loved to see what they were about. They were hot and crunchy. This is such a great place for lunch and I'll be seeing myself coming back when I'm in town visiting relatives. Portion size for $10 salad is crazy good. Back in FL the portion sizes are so small you have to order them extra sides but my bf and I were able to split a burger, fries and salad evenly. I had a really good meal here . When you're in an unfamiliar town it's uncomfortable but here I get comfortable regardless of the stares of others lol I had a great time . Our server was so very warm and sweet and any questions or request we had he got them answered and to us in a timely fashion . I had the veggie burger with fries and it was so good . I've had this burger before but idk how but they made the edges crunchy and the fries were amazing . It was really nice because the owner or manager not sure but I think the owner came out and asked how everything was and I thought that was so sweet .. the bathrooms were also clean and very nicely decorated very cool . We enjoyed this place very much and I will def be back when we visit this town again ! read more

Cozy and clean atmosphere, friendly staff. This is a fine spot for a quick bite; the menu is on the small side with typical pub fare dishes, and the prices are definitely reasonable. I had the French onion soup, which was tasty! I also ordered an orchard salad and requested extra bacon. When it arrived at the table, the server said they had added chicken and she hoped that was okay. I did not want chicken, but it was easy enough to pick off (she offered to bring it back to the kitchen for them to fix it, but I didn't find it to be necessary). The salad was good, but I wish there had been more walnuts, bacon, and apple; it was very heavy on the greens and kind of light on all other elements. There were also craisins in it, which I do not like and also was not on the menu description. My friend ordered a Caesar salad with buffalo chicken. They brought out an orchard salad with buffalo chicken, but were quick to correct it when it was brought to their attention. My other friend got a chicken wrap and was happy with her order. Been coming here almost 1ce a week since it changed owners so this review is long overdue. We love the food and personable, professional and friendly service at Greenview Tavern. The food and ambiance are excellent. Shaved steak tacos are a favorite as are the regular taco specials including pulled pork tacos and fish tacos. Everything is so fresh. My husband likes the chicken sandwich which is meaty and delicious. Beet salad with shrimp special is another favorite. Also love the generous portions of chicken Marsala, français and parmigiana. Plus we often get the hot pretzel appetizer which is delicious. A great spot for real people to eat, dine and be merry. read more

We came upon this restaurant on accident. We've been to others in Warwick, and were trying something new. This place was amazing. the atmosphere is so nice and cozy. The food was delicious!
