The Avocado Vinaigrette Appetizer is my favorite. Impeccably plated and so delicious!!!

The ambience is so special. Warm, cozy, relaxing & beautiful. The food is stellar and the prices are very reasonable for this 1st rate restaurant. Always my favorite place to go for dinner.

I just got done licking the last remnant of my left over dinner that I spent last night dreaming about having for breakfast. The food was the best meal I have had out in recent memory.

Tiramisu cake..delicious. Not too sweet..just perfect

I just got done visiting Chateau Hathorn with my wife for our 22nd wedding anniversary and I could not be happier with the restaurant I picked. Upon entering we were immediately greeted by a staff member that checked for our name on the reservation list and then escorted us to our table. As you can see by the pictures I posted, every aspect of our meal was delicious! The menu is diverse with something for everyone I think and the special menu was unique and full of delicious choices also. On top of the excellent food, the service we received was impeccable. Sally was our server and she knew the menu inside and out and had such a great personality and demeanor that we felt like we were at home. The support staff of Alex and Natalie were very attentive, professional and congenial. Chateau Hathorn is lucky to have these three employees! They knew when to approach the table and when not to. The level of service and food is on par with any restaurant in NYC. Thank you Chateau Hawthorne for delivering a perfect dining experience to us on our anniversary!

What a cute little town and La Cigogne has all the things that make for a great dining experience. Serena was our server and was super helpful and attentive. The menu was loaded with so many great items...I will need to go back for more. We were a party of 3 and the whole restaurant was vibing as the World Cup was on the big screen TVs in the background. There are several big screen TVs around the restaurant and it was cool we could keep on top of the score. The mussels and the scrumptious broth it came with was very good and just a bit spicy. I had the chicken fricassee as my entree and my friends also had the duck special, which they loved. We also had a very nice fruit sorbet that looked and tasted very impressive. There's also a great view outside on the veranda of a beautiful lake. Glad we stayed inside that night. Not only was it super hot outside but it poured during dinner and we stayed nice and dry. Maybe next time. I'd high recommend La Cigogne if you're looking for a great dining experience in Narrowsburg.

Formerly located in Brooklyn, Damien brought the concept to Narrowsburg a couple of years ago. I've eaten here several times. Located in the basement level of 90 Main St in Narrowsburg, it arguably has some of the best views of the Big Eddy and Delaware River of any spot in Narrowsburg. When the weather is nice, an outdoor deck offers commanding views. Inside, the decor is a bit industrial with a nod to the Alsacian mountains. The space is all hard surfaces, primarily concrete, making it a very bright room from a sound standpoint. For this meal we sat that the bar by choice. Service was reasonably prompt and friendly. No specials were mentioned, and no substitutions or menu changes. I ordered the Pork schnitzel, my dining companion one of the spaetzle dishes. We started with tuna tartare. The tuna came out in a nice presentation which included an extra heavy "schmear" of avocado on top. The dish overall was so incredibly oversalted that it bordered on being unpleasant. The house made tortilla chips which were light and delicate, but again, so over salted they were bordering on inedible. The schnitzel came out and had been pounded out absolutely paper thin, and the breading was very dark brown. The side salad was mixed field greens instead of the stated arugula on the menu (no mention of a substitution). The Schnitzel was overcooked and, frankly, as dry as cardboard. Seemed like they are using a smaller pork portion and pounding it super thin to make it fit the plate to their spec. It also wasn't seasoned. At all. My dining companion's spaetzle was over cooked and mushy - almost disintegrating in the mouth. It's unfortunate because that dish looked incredibly promising on the menu. We added the asparagus appetizer (an odd appetizer offering, and not offered as a side dish), and it was good, cooked well, but again no seasoning. I added the leek mashed potatoes as my side. Again the theme of little to no seasoning raised it's head. The potatoes were cooked well, and the leek came through quite delicately, so it's unfortunate the kitchen didn't follow through. Overall - a lovely setting with fantastic views, and a great place for a glass of wine or a cocktail watching the sun set over the Delaware River. As a dinner destination, our latest experience is unfortunately consistent with past visits - a menu that promises great, somewhat simple dishes that fall flat on execution.

The word brasserie comes from the Middle French brasser, meaning "to brew," and Brasserie D honors that tradition with an extensive selection of beers, as well as a curated list of wines and spirits. The service, ambiance, and menu are quintessentially French, featuring classic dishes from across the regions--including specialties from Alsace. We began our feast with a rustic Pâté de Campagne, accompanied by cornichons, mixed greens, and toasted baguette. We also shared Hareng Pomme à l'Huile--smoked herring imported from France, served over warm, tender potatoes. The youngest in our party kept himself occupied with his Nintendo Switch and two generous helpings of Alain's world-class pommes frites. After careful deliberation, he declared them superior to McDonald's--a high honor in the world of six-year-olds. For mains, standouts included the hearty Beef Bourguignon, the tender Jarret d'Agneau (braised lamb shank with root vegetables in an orange-rosemary sauce), and the regional showstopper Choucroute Colmar--a robust dish of smoked meats and sausages served over sauerkraut. Brasserie D is a true gem--authentic, welcoming, and well worth the trip on Metro North for a meal that satisfies both palate and spirit.

Service was decent and pleasant. Then came the food. Steak tartare, oysters and Beef Bourguinon. The only complaint the steak tartare, no t the best a lil bland. But otherwise everything else was tasty. Now the second visit as a completely different story. We observed a lobster salad, off menu and asked if we could have one. Well, it looked a lot better than what it was. It was totally bland and certainly not a pound and a half of lobster meat. It was truly disappointing. We ordered some oysters which were fresh and tasty but that lobster salad was definitely lacking. All in all the first visit hands down was truly a nice affair but our second visit was disappointing. For me consistency is key , shouldn't be hit and miss

All I can say is Wow!!! Everything we had was incredible! Saturdays are pri-fixe only (other nights may be too) and the menu isn't huge but it was all amazing. You basically pick either a hot or cold starter or appetizer (some of the options are salads). Then you also pick an entree or main. Before they bring out your appetizer, they bring out a complimentary small starter - today it was a small radish salad and while I like radishes, my husband isn't normally a fan. Well, these may have changed his mind - and I think I LOVE radishes now!! It was incredible. For my appetizer, I chose the "famous Grange" egg rolls - and they are famous for a reason! They were easily the best egg rolls I've ever had. My husband had the Caesar salad and it was also delicious. We shared both easily - and had an egg roll to bring home for our son, too! For entrees we both selected the hanger steak - also incredible. Delicious and tender and both cooked perfectly - his rare and mine medium. Perfection. There were four dessert choices and each sounded fantastic as well - we decided on an apple crumb with homemade vanilla ice cream (me) and a flourless chocolate cake with the same incredible ice cream - and fresh made whipped cream! To wrap it all up, they brought us each 3 small bite sized treats (I will post a picture). They were also amazing...I realize I've used "amazing" and "incredible" multiple times already...I will need to use other adjectives when we go back but suffice it to say that we enjoyed everything we had.
