My husband and I stopped here on our way home from a weekend getaway. We were in the mood for something sweet. There was a decent sized line for desserts, but it moved rather quickly. The service was great, and everyone was so pleasant. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and the patio was absolutely adorable. They even had live music. My husband is a huge fan of peaches, me not so much. Thankfully, they had a variety of cobblers, hand pies, ice creams, and other baked items to choose from. He got the peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream, and I got an apple hand pie with vanilla ice cream. I'm pretty picky about apple pies because most of them have apples cut too large, and they are never cooked down enough. This was not the case here. This was, by far, the BEST apple pie I've ever had. The apples melted in your mouth, and for someone with texture issues, it was a great experience. Once we finished my husband got back in line and got us more hand pies to take home to share with our family. Highly recommend this place. read more

Do yourself a favor and get your food somewhere else before, possibly, having dessert here. The food is deep-fried and cafeteria grade. The brisket was rubbery, pulled pork was dry, and the sides, almost all of which were deep-fried, we're cold and tasted only of oil and fry coating. My two youngest kids love mac and cheese anywhere--except here. Neither of them ate more than two bites. The fried peach pie was okay, but just okay. With a name like "Peach Park" I figured they might put up their own peaches for use in pies but we saw them opening a big can of Sysco peaches. The ice cream was the equivalent of the cheapest variety you would fine in a grocery store. In short, the food tasted heartless and commercial. I give two stars instead of one because it was clean (aside from half the men's restroom having water on the floor) and the employees were friendly. read more

I've got to say, I've heard a lot of things about stopping at Peach Park whenever you're driving south on I-65, so when my sister and I last road tripped down to the beach, we made this pit stop. It's quintessential Alabama retail stop: the ice cream is good (not GREAT, but good), and the retail is very.....interstate Alabama retail. Think Cracker Barrel, but sparser. The garden area is nice to wander around, and there is plenty of outdoor seating at which to enjoy your treat of choice, but I'm not sure it garners a repeat visit from me. read more

COVID seems to have hit the Peach Park pretty hard. There didn't appear to be as many options and inside dining was closed. All employees we saw followed mask and social distancing guidelines - too bad the other customers didn't. We got peach and apple fried pies to go - they weren't that great. Stopping at Peach Park is a tradition when coming back from the beach. They sell local fruit and vegetables, baked goods and has a gift area. They also have ice cream and a small restaurant. We had BBQ brisket sandwiches, Mac & cheese and a BBQ pork potato. All were equally delicious! The ice cream was also delicious! It's a fun place to look around. What a fantastic find on our road trip! We weren't planning to stop but one child had to use the restroom. The Peach Park just looked cute and we decided to go in. And we're so glad we did! The grounds are beautiful and have little trails to walk. There's a boutique, a country store, a sweets and homemade ice cream shop, and a diner with indoor or outdoor seating. Oh and a playground!!! We stopped in October and it had a beautiful pumpkin patch perfect for photos. The food is amazing and their portions are enormous! If you find yourself on I-65, make this stop!!! read more

Peach Park is a must do if you are traveling through Alabama. They have grown and expanded over the past few years, so definitely stop in and check it out. Their barbecue plate is better than expected. The homemade ice cream is absolutely out of this world. Definitely recommend the peach. :) The fried pies will evoke memories of your grandmother's kitchen. You can buy fresh peaches and other produce in their farmer's market. Their retail store is adorable and stocked full of southern themed goods. However, the highlight is their fantastic playground that is hidden from sight up the hill behind the restaurant. Keep driving!!!! This place suffers from poor management and neglect. The two employees we came in contact with were pleasant and doing their best to serve customers. HOWEVER, the Men's bathroom had the most disgusting, stale pee odor from years of neglect. We ordered onions rings at 3 pm and they were luke warm and grease soaked from sitting under a heat lamp. Nothing recent or fresh about them. Tables and floors were dirty. Napkin holders on tables were empty. We've been stopping at this place for a few years and I noticed last year the management is just letting the place run down. AND, NO PEACHES. "The freeze, you know." Hell, fly 'em in. Get Mexican peaches - but, don't be out of your number one line of product!!! They are driving what could be a terrific business straight into the ground due to mis-managment and neglect of the facility. Don't blame this on the pandemic or the lack of employees. A great place to stop on the way back from Florida. First off, they have peaches. Lots of peaches. You're going to be covered if you need peaches. Peach butter? Yep. Peach preserves. You're good. Peach ice cream? Yes, in spades. Peach cobber? Cold or warm. Peach jerky? Probably. Second, they have ample bathrooms. Doesn't matter that they were cutting edge in 1952, I went there with my 3-year-old and neither of us contracted syphilis, so I count that a "win". Lastly, if you come in the warmer months, expect clouds of flies. They have fans and other bug-destroying devices - it makes little difference. Those flies rule the day. read more

I've lived in Alabama for quite a few years and oddly had never been to this place. I really had no idea what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. Yes you can tell this place is old but that is part of it's charm. They have a small playground area with some really old swings, jungle gym (when was the last time you saw one of those), and a see-saw. They have also built a new barn play area with slides that are super fast. The main restaurant was currently under renovation so we had to get our peach ice cream and fried pie up at the Texaco which has a Peach Park Express in it. Fortunately this did not affect the taste. It all tasted exactly as you would want it to. All in all it was a fun family experience that was really inexpensive minus the gas it takes to drive there from Birmingham. read more

Just stopped by peach Park to pick up some fresh peaches on my way back to Birmingham Alabama and I was positively shocked at the lack of any attempt to mitigate the contagious virus swirling around our nation. There was no attempt at social distancing, employees were not wearing mask or gloves and of the 100 or so customers I saw in there maybe 5% were wearing a mask.
