Our former groomer has retired, and we had heard good things about The Happy Hound. Wow! This place did not just do a good job, they blew my socks off! They did a fantastic job with everything! They bathed him, dried him, groomed him, trimmed his feet with love, and when we picked him up, he had a little bandanna on and was wagging his little docked tail with happiness. I can tell that he actually had a good time getting groomed here. He looks and smells great, and is totally happy. The Happy Hound is clean, professional, and staffed with people who really love animals. We have found a new groomer, and I am just totally stoked! I realize it's just our first visit, but trust me - I have been around the block when it comes to dogs and groomers. This place is solid! I recommend The Happy Hound 100%. My husband and I have used this particular Camp Bow Wow in Ross Township since 2022. For roughly two years, we kept our English bulldog Olive here for occasional daycare and boarding. The employees seemed to always treat her nicely, and she seemed to enjoy her time here, although sometimes tall dogs would pee on her! I did notice that many prescription pills for anxiety and incontinence were not administered and were returned to us, but her health was fine, other than contracting kennel cough and an eye infection from other dogs one time. In 2026, we took our French bulldog Daisy here for a free "interview" for a few hours or so to make sure that she interacted well with the humans and other dogs. My husband and I were able to log into the Camp Bow Wow app on our phones to view Daisy running around. Sometimes the videos did not load well, but we were able to see enough. Update: Daisy has spent several days of daycare here, and she seems happy to see the humans and dogs.

Once my dog was there, the cameras were not active for his entire stay (2 nights, 3 days) so I was not able to see what he was doing or where they had him playing. This was my dog's first time being anywhere overnight without us so I was extremely disappointed and upset since a big reason we decided on camp bow wow in the first place was because of the live cameras. When I went to pick him up, he came out and all four legs and his belly were completely saturated in water and the girl told us he "spilled water in his cabin." I know my dog and he would not have even been able to spill his water and if he did would be spooked and ran away. There's no way he would have spilled the water and then fully laid in it which is the only way he would've got as wet as he did. It felt like they were hiding something. In addition, we picked him up around 5pm so he shouldn't have even been in his cabin at that time. We then stood there expecting the girl to say something and we did not know the check out procedure since it was our first time. She just continued to type on her computer with us standing there until we finally said something and she said "oh you can go." I asked if he did okay and she replied "umm well I didn't hear that he did anything bad." I just wanted to know if he enjoyed being there, if he ate, played, etc and she provided no information. Overall, we have no clue what happened while he was there, whether he was in his cabin the entire time, etc. because the cameras did not work and we were provided with absolutely no details about his stay. I am very disappointed and will not return to this location.

As an owner of an athletic / energetic breed, I'm not sure if we will continue to pay for a mere 20 minutes when many other insured Pittsburgh companies charge the same price for 30 or even 45-minute visits. We still love the people behind Two Dads, and continue to support them, but they are now seemingly out of our budget.
