    Dirt all over the sheets
    LeLani R.

I checked in today and I don't think the room was cleaned before I got there. The bathtub had black hairs on the wall and a wad of black hair stuck in the bathtub drain. The towels were wet, too. The sheets were dirty, like they were dragged in the ground and there were black hairs in the sheets under the blankets. I have blonde hair, so I know it's not mine. The t.v. doesn't work. It is just frozen. I am so grossed out! I ended up checking out a day early and I told the lady at the front desk about the room. She said sh3 threw up in her mouth hearing about it, but that was it. No, " OH, let me comp your room", or "How can I make it right?" Just a ," I tell my manager what you said about the room." Don't think I will ever go back and I certainly would never suggest this place to anyone.

Such a lovely little place to stay in SLO! This was our first time in town and we were really glad we found the Peach Tree. They helped accommodate our late check in even though it was after-hours, and left us everything we needed including keys, WiFi info, and details about the free continental breakfast. In the morning, we checked out and paid, grabbed some delicious coffee to go, and went out to explore town before heading to our next stop. Our room was very clean and well maintained. Only minor issue was the mattresses were not super comfortable, but not terrible. The shower was also a little small but that was no issue for us personally (and I believe you can request a handicap accessible one). The property is fairly large and has different cute cozy places to hang outside. We would definitely stay here again!

Peach Tree Inn is a dog friendly pet hotel that provides a free breakfast, free parking, free WiFi and free snacks in the afternoon. It is also nice that there is a designated parking spot right in front of your room. My husband, our little girl dog and I stayed here for a week for a nice getaway in SLO. This hotel still uses actual keys for their hotel doors. We checked in on a Monday evening (around 8:30 pm) and the employee at the front desk was very friendly. She told us that they still have snacks in the dining area if we are interested (which was pretzels and oreos and also popcorn that you can pop in the microwave. However they seemed to have run out of popcorn the rest of the days we were here). We stayed in a one queen bed room that has a small mini fridge and TV in the room. There is no microwave though (just in the dining area where you can get free breakfast from 7- 10 am daily). The room was on the smaller side but the price for our room was ~$100 or so (prior to tax) a night, which was pretty affordable. Our queen bed was comfortable for the most part but we did find some ants on the dressers by the bed and also a few on the floor during our stay. In the shower, there was a soap dispenser but it was empty. But bar soap is provided by the sink and also a small bottle of shampoo and lotion (I really dislike using hotel products and often bring my own since I have sensitive skin and hate the way hotel shampoo always leaves my hair very dry). The shower was pretty small and would not recommend it for those that are claustrophobic. I was surprised to only find 2 long towels in the bathroom and had to ask for more at the front desk (I need 2 towels alone, as I need one to dry my hair and one for my body). The grounds of the hotel is very nice and I like the seating by the (covered) porch that is right outside the dining area. The breakfast is very simple, providing boiled eggs, oatmeal, various cold cereals and milk, yogurt, bread, bagel, juices, coffee and hot water. I thought it was kind of strange that coffee and hot water is not offered throughout the day, like other hotels though. Overall, we had a comfortable stay and would consider staying here again if visiting SLO.

I have stayed at Peach Tree Inn twice now while visiting my daughter whom is in college nearby. I love the friendly, family-feel to this Inn. I have always been greeted warmly and the rooms and common areas are clean. There is a light morning breakfast which consists of hard boiled eggs, various store bought pastries, oatmeal, cereal, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, juice, and various breads for toast. The assortment of spreads is impressive- butter, jam, peanut butter, almond butter, cinnamon sugar, etc... There was also non-dairy milk available for cereal which is rare but very welcomed. The sourdough bread is some of the best I've ever had and I love a good sourdough. In the afternoons they have microwave popcorn, pretzels, and Oreo's which is a fun snack especially for the kids. The property itself is relaxing. There is a porch area with seating to read the newspapers or relax. There is a little "island" area with a bunch of chairs to sit and socialize and then there is another small area with a chair swing and some picnic tables to also sit around and spend some time with new friends or family socializing. The rooms are pretty basic but CLEAN. I've stayed both in a room with two beds and the single queen and both have been spacious enough for two and very comfortable. There was a small table, a tv (with a printed out guide to the channels which is a welcomed bonus!), a mini fridge, and a small open closet area. The bathroom was roomy as well with a decent sized shower, a sink, and a toilet. Laminate wood floors and portable HVAC system as well. Peach Tree Inn isn't found on hotels.com or hotwire, but you can reserve your room online through their website. They do not have electronic keycards but big brass keys that were a fun retro feel and I actually liked that except for the irrational fear that I was going to lose one. Wifi was decent speed although it seemed to make you re-login twice a day which was slightly annoying but nothing that would cause me to complain.

For the price and location you can't beat it. For less than a hundo l had a nice bed, clean room, good ventilation, its a beautiful location. I parked right in front of the room. I walked downtown and got my drink on. Everyone was very friendly. I really liked it. If you just want a crash pad this is your place. If you want luxury, and want to chill in your room and watch on a huge UHD TV you might want to stay elsewhere, but I really liked it.

Really kind people at the peach tree inn, I had to use the restroom when the gas station across the street was under construction. They let me use their staff restroom and it was a lifesaver. Cute little spot and lovely woman at the front desk. Thanks Peach Tree Inn !

We checked in around 6pm on a week day and booked a fire place room (room 8). We had no issues checking in and I love how cozy the hotel is. It had a feel of a small, personal hotel which I loved over these big hotel chains. The price was also very fair per night. The room: extremely large and clean. I loved the fire place although it got pretty hot pretty quickly. This would be perfect for the winter! I liked it just because there's something about having a fire place that just makes the room much more cozy. Amenities: The hotel delivers breakfast every morning around 7am with local black coffee and two pastries. We were also very pleasantly surprised to see they have an EV charger. It's $2 per hour which is fair. Charges about 6kwH (even though the charger says 8kW per hour). The good thing is when the charges cut out occasionally, it didn't charge me for that time. Was able to charge fully on my Tesla Y from 10% to 80% for like $14. They also have local Kombucha which you can ask for at the front desk. You can also keep the bags that come with the breakfast which is an awesome momento! Feedback to the hotel: I didn't take any stars off because it's not really a negative but just something you can improve on. We did have really noisy guests next door some back late at night (likely inebriated) but the walls are extremely thin and you can hear everything even people just walking up the stairs to their rooms. It woke us up and made it hard to fall back asleep. We could also hear the laundry machines or something rumbling in the middle of the night as well. Moreover, the sink stopped draining in the bathroom which we told the front desk at checkout and they were appreciative of the feedback. Overall, my wife and I loved this hotel. the rooms were lovely and cozy. It was so awesome they had EV charges which saved me so much time having to run to a super charger. Service was amazing as well. Would definitely stay here again when visiting SLO.

We were helped initially by Austin, who is a very fun and interactive member of the Nightcap team. The drinks were carefully crafted and delivered with friendly banter from Austin. Later, we decided to head over to Granada Bistro on the other side of the hotel to to get a table for dinner. The host let us know all their tables were reserved but if we wanted to wait for about 30 minutes they would work to create some space for us. Meanwhile they offered to continue drink service for us in their waiting area. Next thing I knew we were being whisked back over to Nightcap and Austin was back letting us know that he'd be taking care of us and our dinner orders. He sat us right back in the corner booth we had before we left, even though it was busy at that time. The meals were delicious, the drinks heavenly, and the service prompt and cheeky, just the way we prefer it. Thank you Austin and Grenada for a wonderful evening. We will return.

I don't know if my love for the decor can save our experience though... We went to the bar at around 9:30pm and to our delight there was a band playing! However, they played two songs with a significant break in between and that was it for music for the night. Even after they left the stage no music was turned on and it wasn't busy enough for noise to fill the space so it was just kind of quiet and awkward. I feel like throwing a playlist on could very easily improve the vibes. Service was okay, the bartenders seemed like they'd rather be anywhere else. Drinks weren't too shabby and fairly priced. The next morning we came back to try the cake since they were closed by the time we got there the evening before. Holy chaos batman. It was very busy! The entrance to copper cafe and the bakery counter are in the same spot so it got crowded very quickly. There's no designated line so you kinda have to fight to get to the counter if it's busy, two parties cut in front of us and speaking up about it did nothing. There needs to be a rope to line up or a clear line or SOMETHING. The cake is $15 a slice. They're big slices but the cake was just okay. Certainly nothing to write home about for me. Unfortunately, this stay just wasn't up to the standard I've come to expect. Check-in was quick and easy, and our suite was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. One surprise was being charged to park in an open parking lot. I wish that had been disclosed upfront. We were staying three nights as a family of six, yet the body wash dispenser in our room was less than one-eighth full when we arrived. We figured it would be an easy fix, but after my kids went to the front desk, housekeeping brought a shampoo bottle that was less than half full--and no body wash or conditioner. That meant another trip to the front desk just to get basic amenities. The pool is usually one of my favorite parts of staying at Embassy Suites, but this one was disappointing. There was debris floating in the water and visible junk on the bottom of the pool. It honestly looked like it needed a good cleaning. Breakfast was where things really went downhill. My 12-year-old daughter ordered a spinach omelet and found a green beetle about the size of a dime cooked into it. When my wife brought it to the staff's attention, one cook actually commented that it "didn't look cooked." My wife pointed out that not only was it cooked, it was greasy from the oil used to prepare the omelet. Thankfully, another cook stepped in, apologized sincerely, and handled the situation professionally. It also appeared they may have been short-staffed. Around 5:30 a.m. when I left for work, there were still empty beer bottles and cups sitting around the atrium from the night before. One area where the hotel absolutely deserves praise is housekeeping. They did an outstanding job. Every day I returned from work, the room was spotless and well cared for. They were easily the highlight of our stay. The evening hospitality reception was also a bit underwhelming. It consisted of the same tortilla chips, salsa, snack mix, and cheese cubes each night. I've stayed at other Embassy Suites that offered fresh vegetable trays with ranch and a better variety of snacks. Overall, there were definitely some positives, but unfortunately more negatives than I'm used to experiencing at Embassy Suites. I know this brand can do much better, which made this stay especially disappointing. I'm hoping this was just an off week because this isn't the Embassy Suites experience I've come to expect.
