The Ice Cream Parlor has been operating since 1976. Besides ice cream they also serve food. The menu is large from sandwiches to wraps to burgers and hot dogs to salads. I was just expecting ice cream but know now about the other options. There are some tables inside and outside and some bar stools against the window. The staff was friendly and efficient as this is a popular place. The line was out the door when I left. For ice cream, they have both Hershey's flavors and homemade flavors. The sundae got my attention as I saw others eating them as I walked in and they looked good. I enjoyed my sundae and will remember to come back here again. read more

Yesterday, June 28th, I came in with my two kids to enjoy some ice cream from a place of which I've always enjoyed going too. But this visit was the worse experience I've ever had. When I got there, the worker with the tiny blonde mullet stared at me and my kids for way too long while we were in line, maybe he had just zoned out but it was very weird.. and they had a long line and he wasn't working so it's still a problem. my daughter noticed first and asked why that man is staring at us, after I saw, I stared back and he kept staring, it made us very uncomfortable. When I got up to order my ice cream, the girl with the baggy green pants and glasses had such an attitude with me, she literally sighed when I asked for plain vanilla for my son. But overall through all three ice creams I ordered she was nothing short of rude and had absolutely no smile or friendliness at all! When I got up to pay, the guy who stared at us was running the register, i greeted him and said "hey" with a smile because I'm trying to be a decent human being, in response he looks at me with a blank ugly face and says my total, no greeting, no smile. The ice cream parlor has always been a friendly environment but these two workers running the front yesterday were not friendly at all. Maybe they were having a bad day, but that should never be a reason to be rude to customers. This was our first time eating here. We had heard a lot of good reviews so we decided to try it. I got the steak and cheese sub. It wasn't what I was expecting sadly. They used a different type of cheese than what I normally see on a steak and cheese sub. It wasn't good. The fries were ok but overall this wasn't good food. Not much flavor. Forgot to take a pic of the food because it's so good, but I will next time haha. They have awesome BLT's with a thick stack of crunchy bacon. Folks that run this place are pretty much the definition of family run, small business. Brought my mother-in-law here, when my kids and I were visiting her. She's in a local care facility, and you would have thought I walked in with a celebrity. The folks running the place knew there were issues, but they rolled out the red carpet for her, and us, and there were a ton of people already there. The staff were caring, and it made the visit that much more special. We'll be bringing her back here whenever we visit. Also, for those who care more about food; I had their house made coffee ice cream, and they seriously knocked it out of the park! Great food and amazing ice cream. Every time I order the same thing. The turkey bacon wrap and french fries. My only issue with the food is the fries. They are incredibly bland and they even admitted to adding no seasoning at all. The other food is very good! Drinks are nice, a decent variety. A major issue is the flies. I went in on a Thursday evening for ice cream ordered a chocolate ice cream (homemade option) on a waffle cone. The portions were giant but the ice cream itself wasn't great. It wasn't bad but I didn't think it was as chocolate-y as I was expecting it to be. The most disappointing part of it was the cone! It was the most flavorless ice cream cone I've probably ever had! From my experience, sugar cones cost more and are more desirable because they're sweeter and more flavored in general than say a wafer cone. Disappointing. But what they lacked in flavor, they deliver in service. My server was both charming and efficient in her service. I'll definitely be back to give it a second try. read more

The last two times I've been here, there has been hair in my food. When I went back to let them know the cashier was on her phone and didn't even notice I was standing there. They said they would refund me and I should get my money back in three days according to my bank's process. I asked them if they were sure because the refund receipt was just another printed receipt of the one I already had. We'll I never got my money back. Stopped here on a family beach trip. We had quite a large crew including a rowdy 3 year old and the staff couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. The restaurant/ice cream parlor is small but it has LARGE flavor and great people. Every single one of us got something different and everything was great. The inside has a good amount of seating with some extra seats in the back decorated with original artwork. There is also seating outside for nicer days.
