There has been a 'Chronic' issue of not being on time, and not being on top of orders. I ordered last of 9 people and got mine first, with 40 minutes to get the rest. Food is good, Ambiance is chill, Service is horrific. Unsure if this is the staffs fault or the machines/tools fault, but that took way too long and put us behind schedule. Staff is mighty fine, but wouldnt recommend if you have a schedule. Lastly, I do not appreciate the sudden speed, after several complaints from several people multiple times. I stopped in hoping for a quick bite on my way back home. They weren't extremely busy so I was wasn't expecting any delays. The place looked clean from what I could see. The order taker was friendly. The carhop was friendly. My order was correct. My food arrived to the car slowly. I was beginning to get impatient. My corndogs were lukewarm and greasier than normal. I originally ordered a plain burger, and we listed off the basic ingredients. They messed up the first order. Then they offered to replace the burger. When they replaced the burger, it had mold, and it also had a flea in the meat. I highly do not recommend Sonic. They offered a new burger, but at this point, i felt that i just wanted to leave. Some of the worst customer service. After completing a mobile order and checking in I sat and waited to be served. Upon arrival police was already there handling a situation between employees and another customer. The server proceeds to discuss with other customers about what had just happened and then verbally "take their order" walks off with an ok I got y'all. I finally receive my food and not my shake. The other car receives serval bags and drinks while I'm still waiting until I finally get out and walk into the building. The shake had been made when my order was brought out I'm guessing because the server thought I would talk a milkshake that appears to be a cup of milk. It was really unbelieveable. read more

Online says they are open until 12am on Saturday. So we pulled in and pushed the button to place our order. The person on the other end sounded like they said they were taking another order, so we waited. We waited so long the screen said we needed to push the button again to order. Again the person mumbled something about orders. We asked for clarification and apparently at 8pm they were not taking an more orders...yet people were continuing to pull into the parking lot. Save yourself the trouble if traveling and skip this one...they were not friendly, and ignored us. On our way back to Charlotte (from Southport, NC for a wedding/vacation), for some reason we both wanted Sonic. Luckily, this Sonic is on 74 past Wadesboro & easy to get in & out of. We used the curbside service & was happy with the service we received. I love that they read back the order to you, so you know it's correct. I also like that you can pay with your credit card right there at your spot. I got a bacon cheeseburger toaster sandwich, tater tots, & a root beer. Shawn got a sonic cheeseburger, tater tots, & a cherry limeade. We didn't have to wait too long for our food, which was a good thing. Now for the food...while our tater tots were awesome - they were hot & crunchy - my toaster sandwich was not. The burger was a bit overcooked & the bottom part of the toast was soggy from the heat of the burger. Basically, the sandwich fell apart. I ate what I could of it, but needless to say, I didn't finish it. Shawn was ok with his cheeseburger. On the flip side, our drinks were delicious & refreshing. Sonic's prices are good & I feel like you get what you pay for. With this location, the parking lot was clean, but the one trash can we found was overflowing with trash. read more

The service was okay. There was a car full of RUDE customers that was across from us and just placed there order before us. The cashier seemed to be bothered by it so it was hard to get our order in clearly and fast. I got the number 1 combo and added a molten cake with it. They almost forgot bag the cake but it was already fixed. The food was super good. It got CRAZY busy instantly in the drive thru, stalls, and in the seating area at 3pm/after school. There's a restroom on the side which is rare for Sonic but it's located in Wadesboro. The women's bathroom door needs repairing. No Volleyball net here. read more

If I could give this negative stars I would. We received our order and several items were incorrect and had to be fixed again and then had to be fixed again for the third time. I also had ordered a milkshake and began to eat the milkshake with a spoon, as I got to the bottom I realized that there were multiple pieces of styrofoam in the bottom of my milkshake. I was almost sick to my stomach. It will be a long time before I ever visit a sonic again. read more

Anson County doesn't have a big variety of restaurants. The sonic drive thru is one you most definitely want to avoid! The service is always horrible. I can't tell you when the last time I went and got my food under 15 minutes. Only putting 1 star because no stars isn't an option and I at least got some food. However, this was the worst "fast-food" experience I've ever had. Drive-thru speaker didn't work, however they had no sign mentioning the error. The drive-thru window employee left her station to walk out to her car twice before finally leaving. The next three employees I talked to all asked me the same question, as I'm assuming shift change happened... their slushee machine was out of order, and it took 45 minutes to get an order and food... through a drive-thru window!!! If I hadn't already paid, I would have left. This place is absolute garbage and I'll never be stopping in Wadesboro to eat again. There was no pride in their work and no attempt to seem apologetic. This location honestly should just close shop as whatever they're getting paid is more than they should be. Minimum wage is too much for this one if you ask me. read more

This has to be the worst "fast" food restaurant ever. We waited for about an hour before we got our food and they didn't even have all our food order. They charged us for all this stuff they didnt have and just gave us water to replace their $4 drink. When the food came out, it was not fresh. The tots look and taste like its been soaking in oil. This "used" to be my favorite Sonic to stop at on my drives to CLT. This location has taken a turn for the worst in the last 6 months. Any employees out side were smoking in plain view of the customer. My order was wrong, after it was repeated and correct on the receipt, the response I got was "well, she must have made it wrong." No, $h*t. I asked for a burger instead, "Well it cost more than the hotdog, so you gotta pay the difference." Really? The numbers on all of the keypads are worn off, so its an educated guess to pay. Waited 10 mins just to be able to order at the drive through. we then pulled up to the window and waited another 5 minutes to be told they no longer had the chili pie that was being advertised on the menu. we waited another 5 minutes to get our food, our cheeseburgers didn't have cheese on them, even though our receipt said that's how we ordered it. read more

I have come to this sonic several times as it is in between my hometown(Charlotte) & where I currently live in Wilmington. Service is usually hit or miss but after our most recent visit it is most definitely a miss. We rarely come for happy hour & we're pretty stoked when we noticed we were there for half price drinks & corn dogs which is what we wanted. After ordering 2 corn dogs & 2 drinks we sat & waited for 25 minutes before we got our order. When we did receive our order we didn't even get the right size drinks that we had ordered & that shown on the receipt. Would much rather pay reg price & get quality service. Seemed like everyone there was in high school & they were too busy socializing with the after school crowd than actually doing their job. read more

This Sonic has finally bottomed out. I ordered at least 4 times and each time the read-back was wrong. When the order came it contained cheese tots which were never ordered. The regular tots which were ordered were crushed into a nasty clump. We have had order problem with this place in the past with only about 20% of our orders being correct. Tonight we decided that it was off the list of places to stop on the way to the beach. My wife went to use the restroom and immediately returned telling me it was just too gross to use. This place needs to be shut down by the Sonic Drive-in corporate staff before the Health Department walks in and does it for them. This place is run by untrained kids who are not trained in sanitation, food prep, hygiene or customer service. Today, I gave them one more try, ordered up the Sonic 2fer of a cheeseburger and hot dog. After 20 minutes, I received only the burger, with an excuse that the hot dog was not ready. After another 15 minutes, I finally went inside to find my hot dog. Oh my, what a shock I had. Food everywhere, trays everywhere, a 15 year old in charge, and the floor and counters filthy filthy filthy. I asked for my hot dog, and they of course had no idea that I was still short a hot dog. No apology, no offer of a refund, just a dumb stare. I walked out, drove off, and simply called the corporate office and the county health department. Some businesses deserve to go bankrupt.
