I was immediately asked to check in on the iPad It was lovely to see my name and my treatment on screen Then I was greeted by someone who offered me a drink Next Tene my technician greeted me and the waiting area. I used to be all about the waxing but no more! I've switched over to laser hair removal. Although more expensive per session than a wax it lasts for much longer. You'll need multiple sessions. It's not one and done. The space is pretty and very welcoming. They are by appointment only. They book up quickly so schedule your appointment early. You can schedule online or by calling. So today was my first time visiting Peach Fuzz......I had several doubts before going and was not convinced it was worth the trip for me to go there....But let me tell you.....It was WORTH it and more. The facility itself can be easy to miss....not hard to find as it is located on a main street but easy to overlook if you are not familiar with the area. Once inside it is very clear as to where the spa is located....and YES I said spa....this place is not just an office front ....someone's home or in the back of another business...it is small and quaint...and even smells peachy.....the decor is everything it gives a feel of chilling in your good good girlfriend house. The service I had today was on my chin area....being this was my first time ever having laser I was beyond nervous..the owner Keisha attended me today and she was very clear and thorough in explaining the process and what to expect during the procedure and afterwards.....she was knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions....and I promise I had several ....she was even able to give me advise on other areas that where not being treated.....once my session was over....I was able to schedule my next one with the young lady at the front desk.....as I spoke with both ladies asking questions I was shown a few of their other products......but I loved the fact I did not feel they were going hard on the upsale....and the products I was shown were only related to the questions I asked.....and that was that....no pushy sales pitch .... I will say as a woman of color it was refreshing to have someone who not only looked like me but also understands my skin provide me with quality service and care....I was also impressed that a service like this could be so affordable....I honestly feel this business is offering a service to the minority community that otherwise is not as accessible or affordable.... The staff here display theory sincere professionalism ever. I appreciate the esthetics of their establishment as well. Super relaxing and peaceful. Always well lit and clean. The decor is inviting and goes well with their Peachfuzz brand. I have experienced two differnt technicians for my laser services and they both were great. Keisha is well knowledgeable on what she is doing and talks you through it so you know what to expect. It is not painful but it is better than waxing any hairs on your body. It's very quick and you see results. I saw results after two sessions and I was SHOCKED. Lol. I am very grateful I found Peachfuzz because I never went back to waxing anything on my body. I have been going to PeachFuzz for 4 months and have completed 3 treatments for my jawline which has gotten out of control... had to end the embarrassment of finding hairs on my chin. Are you ready for the 411? Here we go...just want to start with I hate to write reviews when I am upset especially when it takes me out of my character. I want to start with I truly love this establishment but I also love people to respect my time, as I respect theirs. With that said, this establishment's services are 100 percent on the money. The staff is competent, professional and truly pleasant. This is why I was absolute thrown off with today's events and the reason for my 4 stars! I arrived for my 12:45pm which is a 15-minute slot but I am actually a 5-minute session which added to my aggravation. I drove from the other side of Brooklyn to get there and be told they are running behind. Ok that's fine but then they do not have any idea of how long. I could not find parking so I go out and come back 15 minutes later because I was originally told "maybe 15-20 minutes" just to be told they are still not sure and it may take another 15-20 minutes. Because I need the service, I ended up having to schedule an appointment during the weekday which means I have to leave work for a half a day to get to this appointment. Yes I received apologies for the inconvenience but does it really matter when they are not really feeling my inconvenience. I truly understand running behind but if the schedule got messed up, I think there should be a courtesy call given to the customer letting them know there will be a substantial delay. This way it gives the client a heads up whether to venture that far out or not. There should not be an assumption that clients live around the corner or have no other plans. They assured me this would never happen again but I strongly believe people should not make those type of promises. It was not expected to happen today and it did. read more

I wanted to take the time to review my first visit to PeachFuzz because I was just so incredibly pleased by the service I received at this studio. I am the type of person to check out reviews before I try any place that's new for me and I am so happy I decided to try them out. First location it is easy to miss because I believe the sign outside makes it seems like it's a yoga studio your entering but as soon as you walk up the steps it is located to the left and they buzz you in. Immediately upon entering I was greeted which I always love because I feel like it takes nothing to great patrons and it makes you feel welcomed. I was offered tea, water , coffee. The check in process is quick and easy on the IPad. I didn't have to wait long at all - 5 mins tops!!! Which is a major plus for me especially since I have a busy work schedule. Lastly when I met with Keisha (The owner) I felt completely comfortable and dare I say safe. she explained everything she was performing and we even discussed skincare since I need laser for my chin/ cheeks , jawline and I have acne. As a woman having facial hair has been difficult and it has really hurt lowered my confidence but she made me feel so comfortable which was extremely important for me. Also, of course being a black woman it was so important for me to find a place that caters to people who look like me! Especially if you read up on laser prior to it is important that a laser studio is using a specific laser for our skin type to help prevent hyperpigmentation. I suffer from Hirsutism and this place has been my saving grace. The owner, Keisha has been working on my face and is amazing. She's personable and so understanding. She remembers details, is engaging and uplifting. Going into this I wasn't sure if it would work but I was hoping to get some relief from the embarrassment of this beard. I've had several treatments and my face has improved soo much even with my inconsistent visits. The hair isn't as pronounced, my skin is lightening up so the hyperpigmentation is clearing up. I feel better about my appearance and that's the goal. This is much needed service in the African American community as a lot of women suffer from this disease for a variety of reasons. Please Please Please, give Peachfuzz a chance. I have struggled with extremely thick and dark facial hair my entire life. Unfortunately my family advised me to pluck for years until I realized my tried and true method was actually terrible for my skin. I had bumps and dark spots all along my chin jawline and neck. After one session ONE, I have already seen such a stark difference in how my skin looks. The number of bumps has been reduced and the darkness already began to lighten on it's own. Not to mention I had no more visible hairs on my neck and just a very less Amount of hairs on my chin and upper lip. Dr. Keisha told me step by step how the process would go and there were no surprises during my 4 weeks. They even recommend products that can help with you skin clarity as a whole.
