The seating is brutally uncomfortable. The are no tasting notes with the wine. The server has no complex knowledge of the wine. The server refused to bill us separately and was unapologetic. She was also rude after she added her mandatory tip. Skip this place and head to a sophisticated winery like Denner and Niner. They have life-changing wine and service. read more

we had a ton of kids ranging from 1-7 but the winery was SUPER accommodating, even as we took over an entire area, lol. The wines were pretty tasty and we ended up buying a bunch. Food was good too, but it was mostly prepackaged stuff (though I think that's pretty common for most wineries these days). Peachy Canyon is a little slice of the Hamptons in central California, I think? I've never been to the Hamptons, but this is what I imagine it would be like. The staff is friendly and accommodating. They're quick to answer questions about the wine and share history about the winery itself and the family history. The tasting room is small and feels like a living room which is cute. The wine was fine, but I didn't notice any certain one that captivated me. Tasting fee is $25 (I think) and waived if you buy a bottle, which range from $30-$50 (from what I remember). We were not impressed with the wines here. Some had this bandaid leathery taste to it that didn't sit well in our mouths. Especially the Para Siempre. It was super strong of a funk. There were some decent ones though but just not enough for us to buy any bottles. The winery itself is very nice. Most of the tasting is done outside in their fields. We had reservations and were looking forward to spending a relaxing afternoon here, but unfortunately, the experience fell short. When we arrived, we weren't helped right away--even though two other groups who came in after us were greeted and seated first. Once we were finally acknowledged, the woman helping us told us to choose a spot, saying she'd follow. She sat us outside, brought two glasses for water, and mentioned that a gentleman would be over shortly to start our tasting. After sitting for 23 minutes with no one checking in, my boyfriend went inside to speak with someone. He waited another five minutes inside with no luck, so we decided to leave. I understand there were only two employees working, but the place wasn't packed, and things definitely could have been handled more efficiently. Cute, smaller winery in Paso Robles. Fun fact that it is the 8th winery to exist in the area! We came at 10:30 on a Saturday with reservations for two people but you probably don't need them that early. Their flight had a rose, some blends and Zin. They are most known for the Zin. The rose was... Bad. Their other wines were ok. Their Zin was the best out of the ones that we tried but overall pretty middle of the road. Service was really friendly and not pushy. We stopped by here on our way up to San Francisco - we specifically chose this winery because they did not force you to do a tasting, but you could instead just buy single glasses of wine. The server August was very friendly and knowledgeable. We were the only ones there at the time and I tried their white wine which had a nice, crisp flavor. My husband was so-so on their "odd one" red mix. He ended up getting another glass of the white and we bought bottles to bring with us to give to our friends. Overall the grounds were attractive, lots of outdoor seating (both in the shade and the sun), plenty of birds peeping around and staff was attentive and helpful. read more

Beautiful little winery with extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. Tasting is done outside due to covid, but the staff bring everything to your table and explain each type of wine before leaving you to try them all. The wines are served in mini Mason jars on a numbered mat so that you can keep track of which is which. Tasting is $20 per person but waived with a 1 bottle minimum purchase per person. Tasting flight is 5 different wines, and for our tasting for 2, we received 5 one ounce jars that we shared. The wines were decent but nothing to write home about. We ended up buying a bottle of Port and a couple bottles of cheaper reds to take home. I love wine, so why pay the tasting fees when you could put it towards more wine? read more

This was our favorite tasting experience during our most recent visit! We were there this past Sunday and it was pretty slow. We sat inside to escape the heat, and our host (August) said he'd be happy to serve us. And that he did! August is a chill dude with a serious passion for wine, and I loved geeking out and learning from him. I love learning more about wine and August sensed that, and we just had really cool conversations about what he was serving us. All the wines here were excellent. A good balance between the bold punch you in the face Bordeaux style reds (which I also love), and the more delicate GSM varietals at Tablas Creek and Thatcher (both excellent in their own right). We ended up joining their club with our friends and both combined for the 12 bottle club. This is by far the best value in wine clubs we have seen in Paso. The discounts were great! Seriously...go here, see August, and let him give you an awesome experience. We can't wait to go back and see what the fall release brings! read more

My coworker recommended this place and when she said $15 for 2 people when you check in on Yelp, I was sold LOL! I'm not a big fan of wine but I couldn't pass up this deal. I made a reservation the day before and there was a couple open slots. The day of, we got there 45 minutes early and they were able to seat us immediately. We wanted to munch on something with our wines so we got the cheese plate. It was honestly very disappointing.. It wasn't worth $20. It also reminded us of plane food. I wouldn't recommend getting it, not worth your money. Overall, it was definitely a great experience! Our server told us that it's $20 per tasting and that the Yelp check in was no longer valid but she made an exception because the lady who made our reservation yesterday said $15 and I confirmed the Yelp offer with her. read more

Let me be clear that there were other families at the winery before us. Kids were already running around even before we sat in the gazebo but to their defense all of the kids were ours. Our kids sat in one of the picnic tables and played. The review should have been a tool to improve their service. Maybe train their staff to refuse big groups especially with no reservation? They say they are " dog friendly " but in actuality they are dog unfriendly. We had to sit by the freeway at depressing old tables .. could not be waited upon because of our dog. We had to go in and get our own tasting. Lastly I called the winery looking for specific year and vintage and was told that they had plenty of it. We've been fans of Peachy for years for a lot of reasons - their staff (family and employees) are always friendly and helpful, the grounds are beautiful and most importantly, their wine is excellent. This year's visit we had a large group, so they had a table inside set up for us when we got there. They even provided munchies for us which complemented our tastings. This was our last stop of the day on our vineyard excursion and probably my favorite. In addition to the (red) wines being some of the best in my opinion, the way they did their pours were really unique. All customers were spread out over the large grass area. Instead of running out to each customer with a bottle of wine, they brought out small carafes of thier whole flight for us to pour ourselves. This saved both time and gave us the ability of taking our time individually. Beautiful grounds, awsome view and of course, great wine. read more

After visiting this winery with a small group and having a server that was unfriendly and inattentive soured my mood but... being a wine enthusiast and educator myself I always try to find common ground to make everyone happy and talk. Besides being forgotten and apologized to several times our server finally started warming up... my mood started to change knowing it's the holidays and everyone is allowed a bad day. But then to find out our server had to leave and that we were then stuck with a lady who was very rude. We had intended to purchase a lot of wine and to join their club but because of the experience decided to take our money elsewhere. I visited Peachy Canyon for the first time in September 2021 and it was awesome! This was the 3rd and last stop of a fun day of wine tasting with girlfriends. Peachy Canyon is set in a beautiful open field beside a vineyard. There are huge trees, grassy area with chairs and tables and a large gazebo. We had our self-pour tasting at a picnic table. The woman who brought out the tastings and explained them was so friendly, fun, and helpful. Our tasting was delicious. I think all of us purchased bottles to take home, I know I did! Would definitely go back the next time I'm in Paso. Tip: bring a sweater or jacket or hat to sit in the sun-it was a lovely sunny day but it got a little windy. read more

I have loved Peachy Canyon wines for years and have never visited the winery. Finally got an opportunity on our recent Anniversary (36) visit to Paso Robles. It's right off Highway 46 and easy to get to. We made our reservation and arrived at the prescribed time of 10:30. We were greeted by a friendly person by the name of August. We were the first group to arrive and had our choice of seats. All tastings are now held outside on the lawn area. And there are tables with chairs spread all over this area with plenty of room to spread and is definitely COVID safe. August explained to us the new procedure of the tastings. He told us the wines that we would be tasting. Then he brought a flight of five wines, each in their own small "carafe" with a tasting notes card for them. He also said that he'd be stopping in to check on us and bring another sample or two. August was very knowledgeable about the wines and was truly and excellent host. The way they do their tasting is unlike anything I've seen. So you sit there and enjoy the beauty of the wine country and taste wines at your pace. Talking with your friends, and talking about the wines. It takes much longer than the previous way of standing at the counter and getting it done. We found all of the wines to be very good but liked a couple especially well - The Vortex and the GSM. August stopped by as he said he would with a couple of extras. The most laid back, chill winery I've ever been to. If you're looking for an early afternoon or even late morning/lunchtime tasting this is your place. I am always on the hunt for the smaller, boutique wineries. Peachy Canyon was a great find on our recent trip. Most wineries if not all in Paso Robles are requiring reservations for tastings during Covid. We made our reservation and got there with 5 minutes to spare. The tasting room is not open, you will be seated out in the grass lawn area which I loved. They have picnic tables social distanced and the staff bring the wines out to you. It was a beautiful day and such a lovely spot to sit and taste some incredible wines. We found their wines to be flavorful, many were fruit forward which I love and very smooth and drinkable. Sarah took care of us, she was fun and very knowledgeable about the wines. We had a hard time choosing, but settled on our 3 favorites. Some were better than others, but that was really a question regarding personal preferences for varietals, not an issue with any of the wines in and of themselves.
