She has done everything from cuts to color. From dark to blonde, back to dark, back to blonde, including highlights, balayage, etc. Brekk always advises on how my requests will affect my hair. For example, when I want to go from very dark to light she refuses to do it all at once so she doesn't damage my hair. I trust Brekk with my hair so much, that in many cases I walk in, she asks what I want to do this time and I defer to Brekk to help me decide what will work best for my hair. 15 years ago, my hair was very different than it is today. Today I have more grays and my hair is naturally dryer. When I walk out it is moisturized, and feels amazing! The only downside I can say is you so have to schedule your appointments a couple of appointments in advance because she books so fast. If you miss your appointment it can be difficult to find another upcoming slot that's not too far out.

Having moved from a different salon in Southlands, I had yet to check out her new space - as she and other artists pay for their own booth in a communal space! Even better - I was excited to get an appointment with her in under 2 weeks. Caitlyn is normally booked way way out, so this was a true treat! She's easily reachable through Facebook, Instagram and via her website. Still in a COVID world, Caitlyn came to greet me at the entrance, took my temperature and led me to her space, which was comfortable and cute - creating the perfect space for pampering. While the building is large, each space belongs to a different stylist who pays for their own booth - as mentioned above - and takes their own clients - creating a space full of local business owners! After explaining my wants - bright blonde with highlights to create dimension and a blunt bob - we got down to business and quickly picked up where we left off - even after not seeing each other for a few years. Caitlyn is truly one of those people who makes effortless conversation with anyone, all while foiling an entire head in under an hour. We then played the waiting game - thankfully my hair takes to blonde well - and before I knew it we were onto the cut and style. I've always admired Caitlyn's hair, so with a few snips here and a few snips there, I received my desired cut and the cutest wavy style. I wasn't in there more than 2 hours, and left with the perfect new do! While many stylists will charge a pretty penny for a cut/color and style, Caitlyn does not. Caitlyn is extremely reasonable and after all was said and done, I paid just $150 WITH a 20% tip! She takes ample care to ensure each customer - including me - is satisfied with the results. Although she doesn't offer products, she was able to recommend a few ones she liked that were also reasonable in price. However, my recent interaction with this business has been more than disappointing. While my salonist Elona is a great person and very professional, the manager is the complete opposite--rude, judgmental, and hostile. The Problem: Poor color uptake I was ALREADY scheduled for February 27th for a redo of my full color hair treatment, which first only lasted three weeks, compared to the seven months it lasted before. But then get called day of they had to reschedule me because Elona got sick and the soonest they had was Sunday, her day off normally, but she was seeing other people as well. I was told she would not be able to dry my hair, which was fine. Day of appointment: Sunday March 1st Unfortunately, my car's CV axle broke, and I was stuck on E470 and was unable to make it, and she didn't have any other time that day. Today: I called today to make an appointment since I own two vehicles, but this time the manager picked up the phone and immediately I was told no. Completely unapologetic and didn't understand my situation. I explained that I had been through a lot and being sick, and that my liver and brain problems had made my hair look unhealthy, and paying $ 150 for my hair to look healthy for three weeks was not fair or right. I was willing to pay half the price, but all she said in a mocking tone was, "I'm sorry." It's disheartening to be treated so poorly as a two-year client. What really pisses me off was her saying it's the next month...what difference did 1st and 2nd make? You break policy 1 day and then go back to it 24 hours later? Conclusion: If you're considering getting your hair colored and then experiencing a personal tragedy, such as becoming terminally ill or losing a child or spouse, be warned that this manager won't care, in fact, will be inconsistent on following their own policy.

My husband has very difficult hair to cut as it grows in different directions and most stylists are not able to consistently give him a quality haircut. With Eric, he gets a high-quality haircut every time. I have long hair that is very straight and fine. I like to trim my hair every four months or so to keep it healthy. Eric is the first stylist I found who will actually take off only 1/2of an inch when I say "please only take off 1/2 of an inch." Stylist after stylist for years would say that's what they would do, and two or 3 inches of hair later, I don't go back. Eric is also really great with how he layers my hair. Because my hair is so straight and smooth it needs to have some layers, but I don't want it all chopped up. If my hair isn't cut right it sticks out like a sore thumb. I never have to worry about that with Eric. We highly recommend him.

The thing is I did not ask for layers, I asked for a trim/cleanup, and asked for the framing around my face be tidied up. What I got was a fat chunk of hair cut on the right side. Absolutely no blending between the layers and now I look like I have a girl mullet. I reached out numerous times and after he finally realized who I was and what he did he apologized. But I don't feel he truly cared as I have been in tears for 2 days, and he won't even squeeze me in to try to fix it. He did refund my payment and tip, but that does not fix the horrible haircut I have to live with for a few months before I can grow it out enough to fix it. I am absolutely mortified
