I've had two massages here so far. I've been to 10 different massage spas here in the salt lake valley. First visit here was two weeks ago when I saw they had a special offer for new customers for a 60-minute massage. I booked Dakota blindly on the portal, and it ended up being the best massage I've had thus far since moving to Utah. I enjoy medium to deep pressure and have a lot of tightness around various parts of my body - so if you enjoy muscle and tension release (some to a lot of pain) - you will love Dakota. I feel very safe and trusting of them as well - I normally don't take everything off (lol) but there's no fear of judgment with my changing body as I lose weight - just a feeling about a person I get. I just had my second massage and it was more of a deep work session and I feel so much relaxation and stress relief - I can easily see myself coming twice a month to work on all my ailments. I recommend booking at least a 90 minute session, and if you have chest and shoulder tension you've struggled to get help for elsewhere, come to Peak Day Spa! I now have the membership, which has a few freebies and discounts like free hot stones and other things I haven't used yet. I came to see Mont and he made my 60 minute spa day a whole experience!! I came in and was greeted by the receptionist. I forgot her name, but she took me to the lounge area and introduced me to some hot tea and snacks. The lounge is a bit dark, and wish there was a bit more lighting to I can actually read the staff's personal bios on the wall. Mont came and walked me to the room. I explained to him where my pain points were and he knew exactly what he was going to do to help me feel better. My hour session felt like a whole experience! I go to Raquel for facials and eyebrows, and she is so knowledgeable on everything skin care and you will feel so relaxed and rejuvenated after her treatments. She never pushes to sell you stuff you don't need, and is great for practically priced products! I just had a facial and back facial from Kamille and holy smokes is this girl amazing. The problem with this place is that it keeps sending out promotional offers for money off the massages. However when you go to redeem it ; there is always a catch. Their prices are pretty high in my opinion. Their promotions are never simple and it seems like it's designed to trick you into a massage that you're likely to pay full price for. Also I hate being asked if I want to leave a tip for my therapist. I hate the tip coercion tactic. I always tip so don't ask me for it again. It's rude to beg for a tip. The therapist do a good job but my main problem is their promotion tactics and asking flat out for a top. read more

When walking in I was greeted and checked in by someone very nice and pleasant. She took me into the waiting room which has water and tea and a comfortable place to hang out. Had a great massage with Kayah. She paid attention to what I needed (lower back pain relief) and it was great. Her flow was constant. It really bugs me when the session has a stop and go rhythm. Pressure is what I needed. I get body work done at times and that is different, this one was just to loosen up and relax. Over all, this place is very chill, professional. First of all, before today, I've never actually had a professional massage, so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but this was life changing. Right from the start they create a super calming atmosphere, from the aesthetic to the sounds to the smells. Megan was my massage therapist, and she was incredible. She made me feel really comfortable, and she made sure to address my needs. I'm an athlete and I already knew my shoulders and upper back are chronically tight, but she made them feel like never before. I literally can't remember the last time I didn't have knots in my back. (Yes, it hurt like hell, but in the best way). I have only great things to say about our experience. The massage tables were heated, the hot rocks are EVERYTHING, and the therapists were amazing, and gave me some great advice for taking better care of my muscles too. The waiting room has excellent lighting to help you decompress. They always have wonderful teas and lots of water to begin your detox before your massage. The massage therapist I always see, Lisa DeRosa, is one of a kind! She's personable, friendly, helpful and conscientious of any issues you may have going on in your body. My next treatment there will be the Ultimate Eyebrow, which includes lamination, a lift and a wax. I'm so excited for this service. Can't wait to leave a review on that too. I know it will be fantastic! If you're looking for a relaxing, personable, amazing experience, I highly recommend Peak Day Spa! i received a very apologetic call from the assistant manager 2 days later. all she could do is say "i'm so sorry. i'm so sorry" but i responded "please explain your policy about holding $300.00 gift certificate without additionally expecting me to give an unknown person my credit card number?!?! her reply was very weak "that is what peak day spa system (vaquero) requires!". my reply you have been paid $300.00 gift certificate and because of peak day spa policies i cannot book a $79.00 (aka $69.00) massage without giving you access to my credit card? manager replied "yes!" she told me that she would have the owner call me. i agreed. a few hours later brian kuepper called me. i was gracious and introduced myself and he did the same. he asked about my concerns. i first asked him to "give me your credit card number?" mr. brian kuepper declined to give me his credit card number! then he wondered why i had misunderstandings about peak day spa's policy? i asked him "why does peak day spa have the policy of requiring a credit card when they have been paid $300.00 for a gift certificate for a $79.00 massage?!?!" mr. kuepper's explanation was not only weak but very, very exaggerated for his massage parlor business! mr. kuepper stated "every business(?) requires a credit card on record". my response name one. mr. kuepper compared his massage parlor to a hotel business (ritz carlton hotel?) where they keep a credit card number on file for incidentals. my response was "if i cannot get a $79.00 massage booked at peak day spa without giving you my credit card number to an unknown juvenile employee please explain what incidentals would i encure?" mr. kuepper had no reply! my thoughts are peak day spa is just that a massage parlor not a hotel i have checked into and i have a business relation with! there is no reason why mr. kuepper's peak day spa's requires a client's credit card number on file! mr. kuepper's reply solved the problem when he said "he needed the credit card numbers on file to cover the wages of his employees!" stay away from this business and their crooked business practices! read more

Wow! What an experience. A beard facial. Who would have thought? My daily beard product typically does a great job of keeping the skin under my beard in good shape. Now, with the need to wear a mask so much, my skin gets steamed under a mask and has caused the skin on my jaw line to break out and become long term sore. After one service I saw a HUGE improvement in my chin within just a couple of hours. All soreness gone, even 2 days later at this point. All of this doesn't even mention the super relaxing hour of stress relief I got from my service. Its the little things that give a day spa that edge over their competition. I chose four stars because the massage therapist was amazing and really worked my muscles with the perfect amount of pressure. I truly felt amazing afterward. I did not choose five stars because I wasn't super fond of the waiting situation with bright lights, cool temperatures, and minimal pre-pampering, especially when In-Symmetry is so expensive. Perhaps it's due to location, but it would be nice to be able to change into a warm robe and store all belongings in a locker, and sit in a dim room or a sauna before or after the massage. read more

So, for me massage isn't a luxury, it's medicine. Without going into detail, years of youthful ignorance have led me to an adulthood plagued with arthritic shoulders, problematic hips and a back that I pack with all my life stressers. On my way into Katmandu I noticed this place. Spoke with Brian (good dude) and filled out the paperwork. Receptionist was also very nice and helpful. My therapist was Susan and she felt like a healer. Time on the table flew by. I've spent my kids inheritance on tons of massages over the years, and this one was up there. Susan spoke just enough to make sure she was addressing my issues and otherwise just let me drift away into deep tissue nirvana. I hate how time flies by when you're relaxing.
