I've been going to Basalt for over a year now, and this is my favorite spa in Utah! Even more than then ski resorts, seriously. Hayley is a phenomenal esthetician and is so personable, genuine, and easy to talk to during our facials. I leave the spa so relaxed and my face feels amazing after all she does. She always gives me skincare recommendations after our session, and truly cares for her clients. I will be moving out of UT soon, and will miss going to this place. This spa is a bit more $$$, but worth it every time. All the staff are so nice and welcoming and I would highly recommend!!! read more

My wife and I came for some hot stone massages, not really knowing what they entailed. Turns out, while it was of course relaxing, I think both of us would have preferred a more traditional massage. In the stone massage, they literally only massage you with the rocks. No hands. So it wasn't really as relaxing as we had hoped. However I do not think this is a reflection on the quality of their business at all. Just a personal preference. My son got married this past summer and as a pre-wedding "girls day" my DIL and I booked massages here for some bonding time and had such an awesome experience! We both had the 60 minute "Relax" massage with scalp add on and it was one of the BEST massage experiences I've ever had! My massage therapist was Jordan. I've never had a male massage therapist before so I was pretty nervous about it. But Jordan was extremely professional and did a great job of being respectful and putting me at ease. We talked about my preferences before he got started and he did an amazing job with the exact right amount of pressure and time focusing on problem areas. He had such a calming, peaceful presence and wonderful touch as well - truly was the most relaxing experience I've ever had! All of their treatments include heated stone work which was just heavenly. And the scalp add on was definitely something I'd get again - as you'd imagine, it's a more focused massage and included some lovely aromatherapy. My DIL's massage therapist was Harmonie and she was SO happy with her experience as well. This was my DIL's first massage so she was also nervous lol. Harmonie was super friendly, bubbly, and welcoming and immediately made my DIL feel at ease. She loved it and we'll definitely be back for another girls day out. The space is small with sleek minimalist spa vibes. And while they don't have any room for saunas or baths or anything like that they do have a nice boutique area with spa products and other items like locally-made jewelry. I got some really cute earrings and some fantastic soaps and lotions which I've been loving! Booking online via their website was very easy. Prices are what you'd expect for the level of service and the quality is totally justified. Like most spas, they have a cancellation policy of 24 hour or more notice to cancel - if less than 24 hours they charge 50% of your scheduled service but that's pretty standard for most places. They're located in a small shopping center with a few parking spots out front and plenty of free street parking in the surrounding area. There are some stairs required to get up into the spa area and I didn't see any elevator options so there may be handicap access issues. I was able to attend a small event here and received a mini facial. You do need to walk up a flight of stairs to get to the spa. I really enjoyed the experience and the staff was very kind. I wish I remembered who I had a facial from, but she was very knowledgeable! I ended up getting a sugar scrub to help with the winter season. I will definitely be back! read more

From the moment you go up the steps of this boutique spa, to the end of the massage when the masseuse hits the lovely cymbal, you are enveloped in the calm and relaxing atmosphere. The small details, such as a heated neck wrap while you sit, a hot towel for your back, neck, and feet while you slip into a lovely happy mood, hot stones, and even the eye pillows elevate the service to a new level so well. They also have great tea options, and even some chocolates to sip and munch on while you wait in the cozy waiting area. I was treated with such kindness and respect and even got to meet the owners, one of whom gave me a quick tour - definitely recommend doing that for any spa you go to!. I walked in without an appointment ready to come back later or another day, because these days I just get too bogged down with the online booking systems. I was immediately welcomed and to my luck, they had an opening for a massage just minutes later. I really needed to relax and Harmonie delivered! Do yourself a favor and add the CBD oil to your massage - nothing like lengthening the relaxation a few hours! Each room has an air purifier device, something I don't think all spas have, and my room also had a lovely sound machine that I now want to purchase for myself at home. I first found Basalt Day Spa from a Yelp Elite Event, but I loved it so much then that I immediately went to book my own appointment for a later date to experience it fully. I got a lifting facial, and it was INCREDIBLE! My aesthetician was so gentle but effective on my face, was so understanding of my skin concerns, used really high-quality products, and I left the spa absolutely glowing. My face felt so good and so did my neck, scalp, and hands, which she massaged as well. The experience was so worth it. I initially went in feeling incredibly tense from work and left feeling like I was floating on a cloud. I was ready to go to sleep from feeling so relaxed. The spa is super clean, and they have made it a very tranquil environment that immediately brings you peace when you walk in. Their boutique area is also so cute. They carry unique and high-quality products that were carefully curated with love by the owner and staff at the spa. You can just tell they take so much pride in the spa and are not only committed to providing the best service but also the best shopping experience. This spa is clean, professional, friendly, and reasonably price for what's included. The rooms are dim and the essential oil diffuser, the calming wave music, and the bamboo decor adds to the overall spa experience! I highly recommend the Rejuvenate and the Glow facials. They both include massages which is my favorite to pair with facials! You will absolutely love your skin after your appointment. Can't guarantee you won't fall asleep. It's that relaxing! Wow I had the best facial of my life with Katie Guzman. I was so lucky and got an apt the day before. She has a firm pressure and I would honestly like her to massage my whole body too! Her facial massage felt so good. And my neck, scalps hands and feet of course. I booked 75 min and wanted her to decide what was needed for my skin. My main request: rid of the blackheads on my nose!! Since I only had a days notice for this apt, I didn't stop using tretinoin on time so my face was sensitive. She made sure it wasn't too much for me so I appreciate that. Hate it when my skin burns (too much). I wasn't red at the end but got a bit red later in the day. I put some Vaseline over to help keep the barrier healthy. The rain like face misting throughout was decadent too. They use dermalogica and Jane iredale products. Love it. You'll walk up a flight of stairs which opens up into a nice bright clean waiting area. I was quickly checked in and proceed to get my massage. I requests for the remedy massage which was deep tissue to kick some knots out of my upper and mid back. It was a relaxing and much needed massage. I've been coming to Basalt for a few years now, always as a spot to treat myself for massages. Lately I've been experiencing a lot of back pain, and I've come to Basalt a little bit more frequently recently to try to relive this pain. When I woke up with throbbing pain in my back yesterday morning, I called Basalt to see if they had any last minute openings this week. I was luckily able to get in this afternoon with Annette, and she literally turned my whole day around. I scheduled a 60 minute remedy massage, which is the deep tissue type massage that they offer. Annette was incredible, this was probably one of the best massages I've ever had. I had so much tightness in my mid-back, and she was able to immediately identify where my pain was and worked through it, always communicating what she was doing and checking in to see how the pressure was. She talked through the tightness in my back the entire time, and offered suggestions and solutions on how to prevent it from home. She was so kind and helpful. We decided to spend more time on my back area than a typical massage, and I left feeling so much better. The spa itself is very calming and the decor is nice. It is very clean and quiet. Jordan was my masseuse, and he did a wonderful job. He was very respectful to my modesty, great with communication, and he hunted out every knot and tense area with skill. Jess was my esthetician for the facial, and she was so gentle and thorough. My skin feels fabulous, and she was able to walk me through the process and recommend me some great products that I really needed, without making me feel intimidated. The facial was tailored to my specific skin concerns, which was a plus. I was also offered lemon water and hot tea throughout the experience, and I felt incredibly pampered. Just an observation and edit I will make with my next booking. The esthetician was good. I would have, however, loved a little more focus with the facial and less of all the extras. I booked the Rejuvenate facial with Erin, and the entire time I kept thinking that maybe I'd mistakenly booked a longer, more expensive service, because I could not believe I was getting that kind of incredible treatment for such a good price. But sure enough, when I was finished and went up to the front desk, it was just the facial. I have never EVER felt so pampered or taken care of. Erin was SO attentive, so kind, and really took her time in understanding my health history and skin needs. She was knowledgeable and talented at her job! She catered the service specifically to me and provided add-ons or alterations to the classic rejuvenate facial to create a service right for me. All the products were vegan, smelled amazing, and left my skin so happy. The music, the temperature of the table, the hot and cool stones, the whole experience was just beautifully done. The neck and shoulder massage was SO good, and my sore muscles/skin has never been happier. After the service, Erin made a game plan with me for my skin specifically, including some samples with no pressure to buy anything I hadn't tried. She was very sweet to answer any questions. Wow. This place blew me away. I wasn't really sure what to expect when my husband bought me a package here for Christmas, but it was well beyond what I could have hoped for. I did the keep cam and carry on package and it was excellent. It included three treatments that all lasted around an hour. The three treatments were a body scrub, a massage, and a facia. The first one was the full body scrub. Janae was my... attendant? I'm not sure what her official title was. REGARDLESS, she did both my scrub and massage and she was FANTASTIC! Ok back to the scrub. She had me pick out which scrub I wanted then had me lay face down and did a dry brush that was heavenly. Then began applying the scrub. She was so methodical and took care to make sure the experience was great. She then held the towel up in front of her and had me flip over and did the front half of my body. She asked if I wanted my abdomen done and I said yes. She then discreetly pulled a towel over my breasts as she pulled the other one down to my waist. I was pretty impressed. Once she was done, she asked my shoe size and had me take a shower - in the room - to wash off the scrub. The shower was awesome and they had a towel and shower cap to keep my hair dry. When I was done, she treated me in the hallway with a glass of water for my massage. We went into the room next door and Janae did a great job on the massage. Pretty stock standard there save the use of some great warmed stones. Then she had me dress and go back to the original room for my facial. I met the esthetician and she consulted with me about my skin type - problem areas, what my routine is, etc etc. she then tailored the facial to match my profile which was great. I left Basalt feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and in such a great mood. Everything about the experience was amazing. I booked a package that included a 30 min exfoliating scrub and an hour long massage with Kelsey, followed by an hour long facial with Jessica. Unfortunately, Kelsey was 30 minutes delayed in starting my first treatment, but they staff went above and beyond in making it right. They checked in with me to make sure I would still have time to complete the full 2.5hr treatment and rearranged schedules to make it work. Then at the end of my treatment, they comped part of it and gave me a nice travel bag with samples. Truly all I had expected was to still be able to get my full treatment. They really bent over backwards to make it right and make it a positive experience. The scrub and massage with Kelsey we're good, but the facial was the highlight for me. Jessica was awesome to talk to and super knowledgeable. I loved the arm/leg massages while waiting for a mask to set. And the treatment felt fully customized to me. I will surely be back. read more

If I could give this place 6 stars I would I'm absolutely obsessed with my customer experience. The smell of when I walked it, the greeting of the individual at the desk, the beverage offered, the thank you note from the owners (with a chocolate attached), the hand written thank you note I received in the mail a week later after from the individual who did the treatment. That's not even including the services I received. I've been twice. I did the body scrub and the glow facial. Loved both of them! The staff didn't rush me, listened to what I had to say and were just amazing. Amber, one of the owners, did my facial. She clearly knows what she was doing. I was told she's harder to get into, so I was lucky. And I was! There are only a few rooms, so it's difficult to accommodate larger groups. I came here for a relaxing spa day with my mom yesterday and the experience was nothing short of amazing. The staff was so sweet and welcoming. We were immediately showed around the spa and taken back to the relaxation room where we were offered drinks. I got a scrub, massage and facial. The scrub was delightful and smelled so nice. There was also a shower inside the room which was super cool and convenient. It was also very clean which I really appreciated. My massage was wonderful and my facial was so lovely.
