I had very serious concerns about throat issues. I called Peak ENT, expressed my concerns and receptionist Courtney took my concerns seriously and got me in rapidly. She was excellent on the phone. I just got back from my appointment. I was scheduled with PA, Mariah. I was told by the lady that took my blood pressure that Mariah was "amazing". It turned out to be true! Very knowledgeable, extremely personable, listened well and answered all my questions. Would not have wanted anyone else. And, best of all, I found that my throat concerns were unfounded. read more

I was referred to Peak ENT by my PCP. When I made my appt I was told I HAD to do both a hearing exam AND an ENT exam. Fine...What I was NOT told at the time of scheduling OR checking in is that I woul be charged 2 COPAYS! Adding to that they did NOT collect 2 COPAYS at that time! instead it is buried in a form. I DONT DO BUSINESS WITH NON TRANSPARENT ENTITIES ESPECIALLY MEDICAL! I went there as a referral my PCP called in. I had an active ear infection. The lady that saw me stated that she could not get a good view of my ear canal due to ear wax so she suggested an ear wax removal. She tried to flush out the wax but her methods left me in severe pain for hours. I had to tell her to stop multiple times before she actually stopped. After I called the office back with pain she prescribed ear drops that caused burning pain. I stopped using. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! They do not care read more

Care was good, I think, however if you have United Healthcare none of the hearing aids are covered. If hearing aids are needed you pay out of pocket there or must make another appt with someone that also has the devices under United. It was a total waste of my time. read more

The whole experience has been terrible, I'm now in a worse condition than when I was seen, I've paid them hundreds of dollars, and I still have no idea what's actually wrong with me. I visited Peak ENT back in December because every time I get sick with a sinus virus, I lose my voice. I called when in the middle of a sickness but they weren't able to see me for a month. By the time I was seen, I was no longer sick but they said they would be able to find any problem I had any way. I didn't see a doctor, but a PA who scoped my nasal passage and throat. She was unable to find anything wrong with me at the time but said I should come back the next time I lost my voice. That happened this last Friday, so I called but was unable to be seen until Monday. This time I saw Dr. King. After waiting for an hour to be seen, he scoped my nasal passage and throat again, only this time he was extremely rough. Even though I was numbed it was still very painful. Again, he said he saw nothing wrong. I explained through my raspy, barely audible voice that this surely wasn't normal, but he said my condition was and I should just live with it. So not only was he completely unhelpful, but he damaged by nasal passage which is now in a lot of pain and bleeding. To top it all off, Peak ENT has very deceptive billing practices (something becoming more common among specialists in the past few years). I have a $60 copay for a visit, but what they do is bill the scope as an in-office procedure not covered by the co-pay, meaning the main way they look at patients costs hundreds of dollars rather than the $60 copay. read more

DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS PRACTICE. THEY ARE DISHONEST. The following is how they have chosen to treat a twice decorated combat veteran. I made a huge mistake getting Heading Aids from them. $3500 a pair and they have never worked correctly. I have gone to 15+ appointments and they still don't work. Their latest comment was "The hearing aids work fine they just don't improve your hearing." I purchased almost a year ago and in all that time I have had them in my possession a total of less than 180 days. The rest of the time they were "sent out for repair". Twice they were lost by the vendor. They also tried to slip in an extra unnecessary hearing test with no mention of cost to me I just got an invoice for a copay out of the blue. After I complained they dropped the copay. There was supposed to be a 45 day trial period that they told me about after 45 days. The HAs never in the time that I had them did they ever sort of work for more than 30 days. One of them feeds back all the time the other causes sores in the ear canal making them useless. At this point they have the hearing aids in their possession for a month but refuse to refund my money. I will bet dollars to donuts they will try to spin this by saying I am expecting too much. I bought hearing aids is it too much to expect them to aid my hearing. read more

I paid in full at the time of service using my credit card but these jokers still felt entitled to send my fully paid account to collections. The appointment itself was useless. The Doc wasn't the least bit helpful or compassionate about treating my condition and didn't give me any information that you wouldn't learn spending 5 minutes on google. Overall the providers I have seen at PEAK Broomfield - Dr. King, Becca, Holly - have all been amazing. I have been plagued by constant ENT issues for years which my previous ENT ignored. I finally was able to get the issues identified and surgery done which have helped immensely. The front office ladies are also very friendly and Noremi (sp?) in billing has been very responsive and great to work with on my billing questions around my surgery. Where this practice falls FAR SHORT is in billing, specifically Brittany. I spent close to $1000 out of pocket to get allergy testing done, provided my billing info with TWO sources to bill (primary CC and back up FSA CC) and did all the follow ups, appointment etc. which took a lot of time and money. For some unknown reason they just stopped billing me or sending drops. When I went in for a follow up Jan. I was talked down to by one of the onsite people (not a provider) and told I owed money. I asked for details as it was the first I heard of it and was told I never returned a call from Brit in Dec. She never called nor left a VM. I told them I was available Monday, MLK day, in the AM if she wanted to call me. I never heard a thing. I also looked in the patient portal and saw no unpaid amount listed for allergy drops. In mid Feb someone else called on her behalf and I again asked why they had not charged either card nor told me back in Sept, which was my last charge from them, that they had an issue after that. I also told her I lost all my planned FSA for 2021 since they never contacted me nor charged me. This person went right back to Brit, who finally reached out in a passive aggressive nasty nice email showing me my FSA card was declined (apparently they took the wrong number down). Neither she nor the other person actually listened to me when I explained my concerns as what she put in her email did not address anything I said. I sent her a follow up email and got nothing back telling her my specific questions/concerns. I sent another 2 days later telling her I would appreciate a response and details on how and when I would get my drops. Two weeks later - no response, no drops. I have now asked multiple times why they 1- stopped charging me despite having two forms of payment from me (apparently Lori took my FSA number down wrong in August(?) yet they never used my main card they had previously charged for months), 2-why I heard nothing from them for almost 5 months which caused me to lose $270 in FSA since they never charged me and it is now too late to use 3- why this was not reflected in the portal as an owed balance which I would have paid immediately and 4-how to restart getting drops. I am now out $1000 plus on my out of pocket for all of this testing, plus $270 from FSA plus hours of my time. All because Brit cannot reply to an email or even be a nice person and have a discussion with me. Frankly I never want to deal with her again. She, and she alone, has completely turned me off on this practice, wasted my time and lost my money from my FSA. I prepaid all of my surgery and bills with them and this balance was never billed to me on the portal, email or via mail, nor was any attempt made to contact me until early Jan. This is 10,000% on Brit and her inability to communicate or do her job. I love Dr King and Becca but will now have start the entire allergy process over at another ENT as this office apparently relies on Brit for this billing. I will not deal with her again. read more

Incompetent and unprofessional! Sara (a PA) was dismissive of my symptoms and didn't ask me any questions. She was rough with the scope and then blamed me for gagging. She misdiagnosed me and put me on unnecessary medications, which made me worse. Don't ever go see Sara! Worst experience ever! I went to the ENT department at UC Health and they were incredible. The scope was done well, they make the correct diagnosis and got me better quickly. And this was after I had laryngitis for 2 months. I would highly recommend you go there instead. read more

Went for regular maintenance earwax removal and was very impressed! Staff is very nice, happy, and welcoming. The receptionists, nurse(?) and doctor were all very sweet. I would definitely recommend Peak ENT for high-anxiety patients such as myself, because the atmosphere of the building is very calming and the doctor was very patient and careful. read more

I saw Dr King after an audiologist advised there was something going on organically with my ears. Peak was able to fit me in immediately. Dr King then set up a CAT scan and took the time to call the CAT scan clinic themselves so I could get in there right away as well. Then he called me late in the evening with the findings as he know I would be worried. Dr King is empathetic and caring. He really listened to my concerns. I highly recommend Dr. King. read more

I had the worst experience here today. I came in because I've had five strep throat infections in 14 months. I didn't meet criteria to have my tonsils removed, so they had no insight to share. I asked a lot of questions about recurring strep throat, how to prevent it or learn if there was a carrier in my home, and what could be done if there was. They referred me back to my PCP, who had recommended I see an ENT to begin with. Evidently they don't offer the comprehensive care the website mentions after all - if you're not ready to go under the knife, they have no interest in helping you. read more

Advocate for yourself, and that goes for all medical care. In hindsight, I was probably a little more harsh than I should of been, but I really am a believer in self-advocacy. People please BEWARE!! I wish I would have read all of the negative reviews about this office before coming, it would have saved me lots of money and issues. Here is my experience with Peak ENT: I made an appointment because I felt a strange lump in the throat for a couple weeks and was very concerned that it may be something serious. When meeting with Catherine I described my symptoms and said "I'm concerned it could be cancer'' Catherine laughed at me and said "your far too young to be worrying about cancer". my initial thought was, I don't think cancer discriminates on age... I told her that I would sleep easier if she preformed some tests just to make sure. After the tests she determined that is was acid reflux. I was relieved! Before leaving she had asked if I had allergies, I responded "yes" she then went on talking about these drops that could cure my allergies indefinitely, and that it is covered under insurance. I was sold! I set up the appointment for the next week, submitted my insurance and had the test done. Come to find out, these drops do NOT cure your allergies and only help with the symptoms but nothing is guaranteed, and it could take up to 3 years to feel any kind of relief. I passed on the drops due to the expensive price and time I would need to take them. I then received a letter 3 weeks later saying the office would sending me to collections if the balance was not paid by the end of the month, I figured it was a little aggressive, but not a big deal, I will just pay my deductible and everything would be ok... Boy I was wrong! I asked them how much was due and they responded $900.00!! because it was not covered under my insurance. I was stunned! never did they mention at any point that it may NOT be covered under insurance, or the extreme price for that matter. They led me to believe my insurance would pay for the test all along. I was extremely disappointed in myself for believing what they told me and not looking into it myself. I called and tried to work something out but they were unwilling to work with me on any amount. I honestly feel like it was a scam that I was lead into. People please do your research before trusting what this office tells you. I was tricked and now am paying the price ($900.00). I hope this helps people in the future. read more

This practice charged and coded my insurance for "SURGERY" when all I had was an in office exam. Their shoddy billing practices resulted squeezing an additional $110 dollar out of pocket cost that their office REFUSED to waive. Keep in my mind, I already paid my standard copay for my appointment that. Total $150 cash, my responsibilty! Beware! Examing your sinus cavity is now considered a surgical procedure! I've had two major reconstructive surgeries in the past and this has never happened. Also, I have one of the best insurance policies on the planet! Go elsewhere! read more

Was seen by PA Mariah Winter, who was great about explaining what she was about to do and how it might feel, with plenty of opportunities for me to stop everything and/or ask questions. I left feeling understood and individually cared for, and also gained a detailed understanding of the issues I've been having and realistic expectations regarding various treatment options. Had no trouble making or checking in for my appointment and was seen promptly. Support staff also seemed organized and kind. Would absolutely recommend this practice to anyone. read more

My daughter was diagnosed with Vocal Dysfunction over 4 years ago at National Jewish Hospital. All though we received a proper diagnosis on her VCD attacks. She is seeking better treatment options. I was told by Dr King that she has VCD in the video that he viewed from National Jewish Hospital. He said that the VCD could of gone away. Honestly if my daughter is having VCD attacks 2-3 times a year. I highly doubt the diagnosis just went away. I explained to him everything she has gone through and all the therapy and treatments. But he said there was nothing he could do to help. My daughter is looking for a Drs second opinion for better treatment options for her VCD and I feel the expertise on Vocal Cord Dysfunction is limited here. I went to see Dr. King after seeing another ENT doctor in Boulder who didn't listen to what I was saying. Dr. King was great, I was brought back to the room right at my appointment time. He asked a lot of questions and really listened to me to help figure out what was going on with my ears (they have been crackling for years). It turns out I have Eustachian Tube dysfunction and my ears have problems with pressure changes. I have another appointment to get tubes put in, which will hopefully help. I will update this review after I get the surgery, but I expect everything to go well. Everyone in the office is very kind and professional, and I would recommend them for anyone experiencing Ear,Nose, or Throat problems. read more

I'm not a "let me see your manager" kind of woman, I rarely write bad reviews, but I agree with a previous reviewer regarding Dr. Mills' bedside manner. I came in to look into a breathing issue I've dealt with my entire life- my sinuses are usually clear (dry, but I never feel like I'm getting enough air through my nose. I was given a numbing/decongestant spray by an assistant, followed by a nasal endoscope by the Doctor. Not much was really found, other than mild abnormality inside my nose, and that the shape of my nose itself might be responsible for some of my feeling like I'm not getting enough air. I wasn't asked if I had concerns after being told that my only real fix would likely be rhinoplasty, nor was any interest shown in my Q's or any alternative (non-surgical) option suggested, even if through a different type of specialist, before changing the structure of part of my face (I like my face just fine). I was given a handout with procedural definitions, a business card for their plastic surgeon, and sent off. Not an awesome appt., but at least I know there isn't a major blockage or anything. Immediately following my appt (within 5 mins, during my drive home) I began to develop terrible pain in my sinuses, which I emailed the Dr. about to determine whether I could be having a reaction to the spray (since no prior symptoms, I'm not ill). I was told it'll probably pass- that's fine- so I waited. By that afternoon, the pain began to subside, and was replaced with ridiculous sneezing fit, and then the grossest sinus congestion (infection?) of my life (it got so bad, one of my eyes was eventually effected). At 7am the next morning, I emailed him again to say what was going on, feeling weird for pestering him, since he didn't seem concerned that I had no congestion symptoms coming into the appt (as shown in my endoscope) and was now gushing from the face. Could this be a bad sensitivity to the spray? A bacteria acquired from equipment? I get he isn't my PCP, and I'm not looking for immediate certainty, however, it's been almost a week now, and I haven't even gotten an email or call back from the office, even by an assistant, if just to say "we won't say we caused this, but hope you're okay." I should note that I saw Dr. Vidas before he moved locations for my ears a while back- and he was really informative. If given the opportunity, I'd see him again. Also, the audiologist was SO sweet, and made me really comfortable during a hearing test. read more

We had such a great experience here. I usually take my kids to pediatric places but we needed a second opinion on my 3 year old's voice. We heard Dr. King is is the best, so we decided to see what they had to offer. The front staff was helpful and friendly. Dr. King's MA was very friendly and good with my kids. I have been a patient of Dr. King's for over 3 years, and have always received exceptional treatment. I was lucky to find Dr. King to treat my rare airway disorder, as he is one of the few doctors in the area who specializes in my condition. I trust his opinion and suggestions for my treatment, and am grateful that Dr. King offers an in-office procedure that allows me to avoid the O.R. and being put under general anesthesia. I made an appointment with this office just to get my ears cleaned. During the appointment I was told that I had earwax but they were unable to remove it. I was told to purchase some ear-drops (which I purchased at Walgreens) and come back to the office in a week to have the earwax removed. Within the week the office was closed due to COVID-19. Within the month the office sent a bill for: a first time visit $190 and earwax removal $75. I contacted the office to see if we could work something out and start the visit over following the quarantine. I am happy to pay the first time visit and earwax removal charges if the service I sought had been received. The office was only willing to remove the charge for earwax removal since that service had not been performed. In my opinion, I stepped into their office to have someone professionally tell me I had earwax that they couldn't remove and I was charged an expensive first time visit fee. By the time the corrected bill was sent (A month later) it noted that my balance was past due. I wish it had been a better experience. -Leslie read more

These folks were kind enough to squeeze me in a late appointment on a Friday when I was having excruciating throat pain. The pain was so severe that I hadn't been able to really eat / drink for a week! I saw Dr. King & he was so caring and helpful. He scoped my throat and gave me a diagnosis. My husband even had my 7mo daughter there and he told me, though she appeared happy, that she may have what I have as well. He was a great listener and provided a variety of options to get me well. He even scanned in my work absence paperwork to update for me in case I was still ill the following Monday. Their facility is very nice and their staff were caring and helpful. read more

It's been a few months since my daughter , a singer wit vocal nodes, left Peak ENT and since then I have been watching Yelp and social media with interest and sometimes great dismay at how people address each other when it's not face to face. Since I've had distance from a bad day at the doctors office, I am changing my 1 star to a 3+ to 4- for these reasons: the doctors are very skilled and showed interest and compassion on my daughter except the day she was 16 minutes late while caught in a rain storm during rush hour and it turns out she had undiagnosed, antibiotic resistant strep and was refused treatment that day at the office and thus had to do her vocal singing finals at college with strep throat. Though I phoned three times during her difficult commute to the doctor, this refusal of care I assume was a front office, problem solving and communication issue which is what we've run into at least 4 times in the year we'd been working with Peak. The other problem I noticed is when the office clearly had made scheduling mistakes, there was lack of courtesy, apology or compromise . Another professional working with us portrayed lack of interest by checking her clock frequently before a scheduled session was over. I did appreciate that a doctor took the time to phone me after our last big problem but it was after I had displayed my anger on Yelp. In summary I would still recommend Peak ENT with the precautions of making sure clients do their homework about their diagnosis and treatment options. Be prepared to often pay or schedule electronically and call ahead even to confirm your appointment if there is any doubt, be certain with your insurance what will be covered in treatment options offered. Peak has a few offices , good equipment and accepts many private insurances. I underwent laser excision of a vocal cord papilloma, The whole process was excellent, from setting up an appointment to the actual procedure of excising the papilloma. Friends and acquaintances comment on how my voice has returned to normal. I am well aware of the particular issues that can arise with having a physician as a patient, both for the treating physician and for me. Interactions were handled with great skill. I love Dr. King and his staff. I had the Baha implant done and am so glad I did. He is the only ENT I have met with that gave me an alternative to getting my hearing back. I haven't been able to really hear with both ears since I was about 15. Other ENT's just wanted to keep doing reconstruction surgery which is difficult as you age to recover from and it wasn't working so I couldn't figure out why they wanted to keep doing the surgery. I was also told that I wouldn't be able to use a standard hearing aid so I just had to adjust to only being able to hear with one ear, which isn't the greatest. Dr King changed all that, did my Baha implant and now I am hearing again with 2 ears after 25 years!!! read more

I went to Dr. King because I was desperate: for almost 10 years I suffered from progressive esophageal achalasia with no diagnosis. Gastroenterologists were either convinced that I was hypochondriac, a head case, or were unconcerned with finding a diagnosis altogether. My symptoms progressed to an untenable degree. Once undigested food began coming out of my nose at night, it was suggested that I see an ENT. Dr. King's online reviews were so positive that I made an appointment and I was not disappointed. Long story short: I needed a gastroenterologist but, because I had seen so many, Dr. King spent time with me and ordered the test that FINALLY led to my diagnosis of achalasia. I then found a gastroenterologist who suggested a surgeon and I elected to correct my achalasia with a heller myotomy. I can lead a normal life, enjoy food, savor a Colorado craft brew, and it is all because Dr. King cares enough about his patients--at least this one--to actually provide care and help. read more

Dr. King performed sinus surgery on me about 4 months ago, after struggling with chronic sinus infections since I was a child. The care I received both before and after surgery was phenomenal. As for the surgery itself, I felt safe, it went smoothly, and I have honestly never felt better. I finally know what it's like to breathe normally and have clear sinuses. I don't snore anymore and therefore get quality sleep. Needless to say, this surgery has been life changing for me, and I give Dr. King full credit for that. A couple of years ago, I had a consult at another ENT clinic, where I felt rushed, and was told everything looked "pretty good" and I didn't need surgery. That doctor did not even mention that I had a deviated septum. I had no idea. Dr. King did a much more thorough consult, including a nasal endoscopy, showed me what the problems were, explained them so I understood, and then corrected them. The fact that he and his assistant, Brittany, are super friendly and personable, just seals the deal. I would recommend absolutely anyone to Dr. King. read more

On a recent vacation, I got an ear infection. Since my return on Nov. 17, Dr. King's office has seen me 6 times to resolve the infection, which included an abscess in my right ear. One of those times was on Thanksgiving Day morning, when he removed a wick from one ear so, as he said, "you can enjoy your Thanksgiving dinner conversation." This was above and beyond the call of doctor-ship. Although Dr. King had to perform some very painful procedures, he did so with compassion and sensitivity. They overbilled me from what they quoted me in person. When trying to figure out why they billed me differently from what I was quoted, the office manager would not return my phone calls. They kept sending me emails telling me to go on their secure server. When I tried to communicate via their network they did not answer my questions with any sincerity. They just told me what my total was and that I had to pay it. On top of that, I still am having complications from my surgery. read more
