I requested to see Board Certified Cardiologist Dr. Mehta, unfortunately my appointment was instead set up with NP Claudia Ángulo. I opted to keep the appointment in hopes to receive great care. The staff at the front desk was helpful and kind. The office was clean and quiet which was a plus. As my medical history was being requested by Nurse practitioner Angulo - I mention both my grandmother, mother and sibling had major heart issues. She mentioned the only person that plays a part in my genetic makeup is my mother and no-one else - so even though the majority of heart health issues came from my grandmother, down to my mother and now both myself as well as my sibling that all others aside from my mother was invalid towards me. I don't believe this to be true as I have even my own child with heart problems that had to be seriously addressed at a youthful age. Nevertheless, my siblings are in the medical field. One worked at the Az Heart Hospital for over a decade so I do not agree or believe this practitioner has a full scope. Ileft the office feeling unheard, invalidated and stressed out. I know my body and my body is telling me something is wrong. Too bad there were no real ears to hear me or my concerns. I would not recommend this specific Nurse Practitioner Claudia Angulo if you happen to be like me: A patient that wants to get down to the nitty-gritty of your health and not simply looked at as if you know nothing. My claims and appts say I am seeing Dr. Mehta, unfortunately I have only ever seen NP Claudia Ángulo. She takes too long to come into the room and does not remember a thing about me every time I am there. Rather, she scans my chart when I am sitting there and I have to remind her of certain aspects of my care. Her bedside manner is just ok and doesnt inspire much confidence. I feel like I have to lead the visit as she is preoccupied. The staff is nice and the office in nice looking. Calling for an appt takes waaaaaaaayyyy too long on hold. read more

Outstanding cardiac care. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Tran and Dr. Mehta to anyone in need of their specialty care

Was able to get an urgent appointment scheduled was great. The staff at this office was pretty nice. I was able to get checked in as soon as possible. I wish they allowed the paperwork to be done online but then again most of the patients were elderly so online forms may not be the best option for that population. Anyway, I waited for about 5-10 minutes when I was taken back. The lady that helped me was super kind and took her time asking the questions they ask you as a new patient. She took an EKG was very quick. I waited to see the cardiologist, maybe 5-10 minutes. He came in to see me, not very friendly and seemed to be kind of annoyed. I was there to get clearance for a surgery that I needed to get done. The concern was high heart rate and chest pain which I have been dealing with since I was a teenager and was cleared for anything bad. This cardiologist stated he didn't feel comfortable given me clearance without having a stress test done and an ultrasound. He then proceeded to tell me I was too young to have heart problems. I'm like what? That is not the point and there are babies who have heart issues and defects. He spoke to me for about 5 minutes and that was it. Needless to say I left very annoyed and not happy at all. I hope I won't even need to come back to see a cardiologist again.
