This corporation is absolutely a mess. It is apparent that employees are not happy and do not care about the patients. My first doctor here was wonderful and a dream to work with. She left and I was given a new doctor. I have had nothing, but referrals to other doctors since. It appears this is all they do is refer you elsewhere, not treat you. You cannot get an appointment when you are ill and are forced to wait or go to urgent care. I am thankful for finding a great urgent care. Office staff just plain does not do what they need to do. I gave all contact information on a referral to a heart doctor. My appointment was a week and a half away. The EKG's, which were the reason for the referral, were not sent. I call from the doctor's office and asking for them to be sent, they were not sent. I was able to get them on the portal. I was later told it appeared the attachments were in the wrong place. A wrong prescription was called in for a medication I get over the counter, at a lower strength than I use. The correct one was not called in. The cost was 3X's my OTC. The assistant came in and seemed irritated. She shuffled through papers shoved one towards me, it was a low salt diet. I asked why I needed a low salt diet; my blood pressure is good and as far as I know nothing showed up saying there was an issue, and asked why. She grabbed it back and said, "it is just a diet". She left and shortly returned saying the doctor wanted to talk to me about my EKG's. She had taken my blood pressure telling to hold my arm out straight. Your arm should be relaxed. This is the person who wrote down my medications and stopped me, after my first two stating the others were not needed. If I mentioned my heart attack in 1999 or 2000 once I mentioned it at least five times. It is the reason for my needed RX. But apparently it fell on deaf ears until my new EKG "didn't look right". I have never had such an inept doctor's office. This is my 2nd review, the last was three stars. I would give 0 if I could. The assistant needs fired, she obviously does not wish to work. Since this was all for a clearance to get surgery. I asked for a copy of the clearance and had to go pick it up. As I read it, I became extremely upset. "Allergies: none" I have almost died due to my allergies to medications, twice!! Needless to say I spent some very uncomfortable nights before the surgery and was extremely vocal about this mistake. I have carefully listed those allergies in my paper work. It is far easier to say what I can have than to list what I can't. Medications .... remember I mentioned she didn't write them down! Sleep, I had only been getting three or four hours sleep. The clearance listed much more 8 or 9. It was the amount of time I use my cpap since I wear it while I am attempting to sleep. I had even shown him the documentation of my sleep, which my watch keeps track of. I have friends who go here. Of course as we all do we discuss our issues. I am always surprized when they have no knowledge of test results only that " he said they were ok". I will not be returning to this group and will be finding another primary care doctor. read more

My wife and I have been patients of the Maxwell Group for 8 years. First with Dr. Brown, recently retired, and now with Dr. Yujie Shui. Dr. Shui is a very good listener and has shown concern and empathy in his recommendations for our health. We have never had to wait for more than a few minutes when we have had an appointment with him. I have never had an issue with the billing department. I can't speak about other physicians in the Group, but I would certainly recommend Dr. Shui as a very competent practitioner. read more

I am a patient at The Maxwell Group. I am very serious of leaving them. Not my doctor but the Billing Department. I got my bill and paid for it on line. I fat finger the amount and didn't catch it in time to stop payment. Here is the sad part about them. They got my check from the bank and called me to ask what happen? I told them to deposit the check (the check it made out them) and refund me the over payment. Simple I thought. The Billing Department said it's too difficult to do this and they will send me the check back. The problem is that the check is made to them and my account has been withdrawn. read more

New to AZ my first visit there waited 45 minutes to be seen. OK they were busy. 2nd visit they canceled the day of, ok they rescheduled the next business day hope they don't cancel that one. Got the wrong insurance even though I filled the form and they copied the card, then they gave the wrong insurance to labcorp and gastroenterology, ok but when I was upset about it they got defensive not cool. Not a good start for them. read more

Had to visit my PCP after a fall -Dr. Narayanan gave me an early morning visit to asses the damage. His wonderful PA Candace got me scheduled for CT scans that afternoon. Candace called me with the good results before 5 that evening. Thank You Candace for your help in getting the CT scans appointments. This was a 5 star service ALL AROUND!! read more

I have seen Dr Medina for over a year and I'm not satisfied....she doesn't seem to have thetime....always rushed ! Went for a wellness check ...She has one agenda being the best Medicare government robot she could be. I have a weight issue and she handed me a government print out of the old old food groups and diet plan....calorie restriction does not work and she does not specialize in weight loss .I also take 5000 units of Vitamin D in the winter ...she said it is bad for kidneys....I then realized only one study was done on Vitamin D..ONLY ONE??? So Dr Medina based her findings on one study. Her MA was patronizing.towards me. If you are going to act that way in front of patients you are in the wrong field. It was an afternoon appt and no being friendly...everything was "as a matter of fact" with her..negativity and it shows! read more

Waited 60 days to see Dr. Casiano only to find out the day of the appointment that it was cancelled because the doctor doesn't work Wednesdays. No call from the Maxwell group to cancel the appointment, nor an apology from the receptionist. If they don't care, I don't either. Plenty of doctors to see. read more

Do you like long holds? Do you like to see a different Doctor and never get to see your actual Primary Doctor? Do you like being on hold for 20 minutes, only to be disconnected. Do you like being treated like an inconvenience and not an actual person. I have been seeing Dr. Medina. She is always rushed & doesn't seem to have the time. I went in for my annual exam & they were 15 mins late to see me with out letting me know. When I finally got to see the doc, I felt rushed. I brought this up because I also have to go to work. Then for my next appointment, she really laid into me about how she is always respectful of time & was VERY defensive. I wonder why she just couldn't have a conversation with me? Hmmm. read more

My mothers primary care doctor in this practice dropped her, because she plans to move. She is not moving for 5 weeks but she's already been deactivated by the portal. Can't access her records. Her oncology labs also go through her primary care so she is thinking about canceling her oncology appointment because she will have no way to get the results of the labs since they have "deactivated" her as a patient. If she gets sick in the next month she literally has no doctor. I've never heard of such a thing. On another note, my dad who passed a year and a half ago died of stage 4 metastatic liver cancer (stomach to liver) and he had been going to this practice and getting labs up until his hospitalization, shortly after which he died. This practice failed to spot any abnormalities in his labs or address his symptoms and robbed him of early detection and potentially a longer life. They kept giving a man literally weeks away from death a clean bill of health. This practice is unethical and negligent and shouldn't be in business. I didn't pursue them after my dad died but this treatment of my mother is just salt in the wound and it's inexcusable. No continuity of care or warm handoff of a high risk patient.
