Keanu and another gentlemen came to do a new install of internet in a remote area in Arroyo Grande. My internet is the speed of light and I am so thrilled with the service!!!!! They are not satelitte based so they can offer fast speeds! The techs are just fabulous and so knowledge. Best of all the sincerity they exude, you can tell they are not trying to BS upsell you on every breath you take. So you moved to the country from the city, and realized that when it comes to internet, you'll need to make some concessions. There aren't many options out there, and you want to make sure you're not going to get the kind of customer service that the big ISPs give you in the city (I have been hung up on by Spectrum many times while trying to resolve simple issues). Look no further. Peak wifi has an incredible staff of people who deliver peak (pun intended) customer service and will go out of their way to get you the best possible connection. It took me some time to adjust to slower download/upload speeds coming from city internet, but you will soon realize that other than very large downloads (which can often be accomplished at night), you don't need much to be able to browse the web, game, or stream. After doing lots of research, the Point-to-point connection that Peak Wifi offers is far above satellite and cellular options when it comes to internet. After a short jump, you're back on that fiber backbone and getting some (relatively - remember, this is still rural internet) great speeds at great prices. Specific shoutout to Keanu -- one of the incredibly knowlegeable technicians who works for PeakWiFi -- he is experienced, dedicated to quality, and has the best attitude in the business. From the installation appointment I knew I was in good hands as he moved the antennae on my roof to the optimal location (the previous owners had peak installed many years prior), tested to make sure my speeds were tip-top, moved where the cable was coming into my house so that I could connect directly to it in my office (I work from home), and helped move me over to the optimal relay point when my speeds were a little shaky at first. I couldn't commend him more for his customer service, which extends to everyone I've interacted with at PeakWiFi. Give this man a raise! Recently, the company CEO reached out to me to address my less than great connectivity. He made sure that my issues were addressed in a timely fashion. Additionally, there have been some upgrades done in the area just a couple weeks ago. I can safely say that as of last week, my internet connection is the strongest/fastest it has been for over two years. Three months in with Peak and we couldn't be more pleased. They installed internet into our Airstream trailer and it has run great since day one. This is a phantastic company. We switched over a few years ago after pulling our hair out for years while being on AT&T's DSL. Their customer support is fast, very personal (people, not robots), and very friendly. The internet service is very reliable, and speeds are usually better than what they advertise. During the rainstorms we lost power for two days and with that our Internet and everything from AT&T was also down. When power resumed, AT&T gave us a repair estimate of over a week for phone and dsl. This frankly caused us to question providers, not simply because of this incident, but many other service issues in the past and an overall feeling that our business wasn't very important. I posted on Facebook and it overwhelming responses were to consider Peak Wi-Fi. I took a look at other yelp reviews and saw that people overall just raved about the service and quality of the product they delivered. I messaged the company on yelp, got an instant reply, and set an appointment for them to assess if we were a good candidate for their service. The call and installation went well and we now have double the speed for both uploads and downloads. The service has been very consistent and we are extremely happy. If you are lucky enough to be in any one of their areas (and I believe they have over 19 towers now on the Central Coast ) consider giving them a call and moving to this company. Very disapointed with their service. It took a week to come out to set up our service, the tech said he had to check with a neighbors tower and would get back to me ASAP, two days went by and no communication. When I called the company and spoke with him, he told me that there was no way to get service to us and would put me on a list in case service became available. Had I not called, I would have been waiting till who knows when. A simple call stating they couldn't get service to us would have been all I needed. My wife and I moved to the outskirts of Arroyo Grande and never once did we consider our internet options. Charter wouldn't service our home, and AT&T service is terrible. You pay for service, and after all the data loss you get about half what you pay for. They also have terrible data caps, which for us leads to a lot of overage fees because we cut the cord and only use netflix, Hulu, and prior to watch tv. Peak wifi was recommended to us by a friend and after a short delay with getting a tower near corbette canyon, we're now connected. We've had the service for about eight months and it has been amazing. No down time, I get the speeds I pay for and best of all no data caps. The last thing I have to add is I recently got a flyer from a competitor, which had better pricing. I called up peak, and they had already adjusted their pricing, so I'm getting more for what I was paying for before. Great job staying competitive. read more

Peak Wifi has amazing customer service and a great product. I live in an area with no land-based internet options, and a few wireless options. Up to this point I had been "surfing" the net, and I was not happy. Constant drop-outs up their chain, and poor customer service response. I chanced across Peak Wifi, found out the owner is a neighbor, and made a call. The prices are fair, there is no data cap, and their technician is top-notch. They accommodated the special requirements I had with no fuss. I'm proud to be a customer. Their customer support team is fantastic. Outstanding company - I live in rural AG with about three service providers with microwave connections. Our prior provider went down with the floods (understandable) and was out for over 4 days. What frustrated me was they provided no response on what was wrong or an estimated time to reinstate service. I finally got fed up on Day 4 and based on recommendations on NextDoor and great Yelp reviews, I called Peak. They set me up with a same day appointment with Chris. He came out right on time, determined we had line of sight for service and installed my system on the spot. They made it easy to get the account set up, will start billing me NEXT month, were $30 a month cheaper than my old service, and required no long term contracts. Chris even waived my installation fee. He also said the underground cable out to the pole in the yard was not the best installation, so he is coming back next week to move the antennae to the eve of my house and route new cable to our AV box. And I also learned from Chris that he is a native of this area and Peak is a locally owned company with all their own service techs and trucks. We have lived here since 1975. The closest cable service is miles away. Phone lines connecting us to Arroyo Grande were installed in the 1930s and have not been replaced. Fiber does not reach our property, and the sporadic service provided by AT&T through the rural fiber network is frustrating - at an unreasonable high cost. Over the past 25 + years we have tried dial-up, DSL, and satellite internet, none of which has been reliable. My wife and I live on See Canyon Rd in San Luis Obispo. We purchased our home in July of 2015. We "inherited" a satellite ISP and had very poor service primarily due to latency issues. I could not consistently download banking transactions and the internet connection was painfully slow. We also had no cell service on AT&T and Verizon. We even purchased a mini-tower but it did not help due to satellite internet. In Dec 2018 we contacted Peak WIFI not knowing if we could use their microwave service since we needed line of sight to one of their towers. It is like night and day difference in the service. We now get almost instantaneous internet connections, my banking transaction downloads have not failed since and we get excellent cell phone service using WIFI cell reception. And, the monthly charge is MUCH less then the satellite service. The installer, Christopher, was very professional and went the extra mile to run the cabling as we had a new roof and it required him to do some clever rerouting it happen. If you have line of sight to a Peak tower do not delay contact them to be your ISP. Could not be more satisfied. read more

Like so many others, My family moved to Arroyo Grande outside of the service area for Charter. After struggling with a Verizon Mifi, we learned that their were wireless ISPs in the area. We tried a competitor for a year, but always hated the high prices, slow speeds, high latency, and data caps. About 7 months ago, we switched to Peak WiFi, and it's been perfect! Great speeds, competitive prices, next to no latency, and no data caps! Peak WiFi is even competitive to the service offering of Charter, and at this point, even if Charter did service our home, we wouldn't switch, the service is just that good.
