They have the friendliest staff of any hotel chain. I know they are owned by Drury Inns, but they are lower priced. Not a bad breakfast. Coffee and soft drinks are available at no charge till 10 pm. We needed extra blankets because St. Louis was freezing. They asked if we needed our room made up while we were staying. We just needed some more towels, which they gave us at the check-in counter. For not using the clean-up service, we received 250 bonus points on our Drury account. read more

We needed a place to stay for one night while visiting a relative.I did not want an expensive hotel because we just need a place to sleep and would be gone all day. I chose the Pear Tree based on good ratings. I was delightfully surprised! First the staff is friendly and caring . Secondly, our room was very clean and the bathroom was shiny and spotless.Thirdly The breakfast buffet was extensive and thoughtfully presented. Lastly the hotel has coffee and soft drinks available free of charge 24 hours a day.When we arrived there was fresh popcorn to snack on as well. Plenty of parking and close to major highways.We will be returning. read more

Tim and the young lady behind the front counter were are absolutely the most nicest ppl and genuine. I notice Tim cleaning and chatting with the guest in the breakfast room and as I walked by him I notice his footwear (he was dressed well and sharp) we chatted about the shoes he had on and the company that made them. It was nice to see and chat with someone who knew quality. I forgot the young girls name who was helping us this morning with extending our stay but she was helpful and nice during the whole transaction. Those two made me feel welcomed and I just wanted to share my Wednesday morning experience. read more

We have previously stayed at the Drury next door and this time opted for the Pear Tree as it was less expensive. It's owned by Drury. The bathroom had zero mold I could find and the water pressure was excellent. We had a corner room and it was larger I'd say than most king only rooms. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast next morning was good. Coffee, juice, hot items, waffles, cereal. Outdoor seasonal pool which I overlooked so I had the child pack his trunks that we didn't use. No indoor pool. Close to highways and 8 mins from where we needed to be. Pear tree is just as good as Drury. read more

This is our go-to place when going to St. Louis. The rooms are great, as is the staff. We could stay closer, but there's no need.

Had a great stay at the Pear Tree Inn upon walking in and slow greeting to a 7 min wait until someone was able to check us in the hotel is very clean and comfortable and the free amenities are great we enjoyed our experience and would recommend this hotel I would enjoy staying here if I'm in the area again. read more

Happy Hour!!! Never seen this before at a hotel so knew I needed to make a review! They provide a happy hour 5:30-7pm with 3 free drinks/person! Options of wine & beer - they also provide snacks (chips & salsa, popcorn). This was just a quick stop on our road trip so wasn't expecting anything - but this was such a great treat! I was on business passing through Arnold when a freak snowstorm hit resulting in me getting stuck in Arnold. The freeway now a parking lot full of accidents!! To make matters worst I trailering a boat back home. Which was causing my truck to slide all over the place. I decided to stay in the nearest town and so I found the Peartree in through reviews. My situation was I was hauling this super long boat which was filling with snow ( 8 inches forecasted) potentially resulting in further weight/safety issues for tomorrows drive out if there. I asked the employee if it was ok to park the boat under the entry covered driveway to keep the snow out. They called the manager who quickly said they were not really supposed to do that because they needed to be able to fit two cars next to each other at once. BUT he would do it this one time due to the circumstances All he asked is if I could as long as I made room for other cars to come in and out of the covered loading area also. I cannot begin to tell you how much I needed that! He seriously made my night. I was so impressed! Thank you manager I owe you a ton! As far as the in itself. Omg at check in they hand you a ticket for 3 drinks. Beer or wine !!! With snacks included with your stay! The beds we're comfy . The have to say I've been all over the world and stayed at some pretty incredible 5 star resorts but this stay at the Peartree Inn inthe middle of nowhere Arnold, MO was quite possibly one of my most comfortable and highest rated customer service experiences EVER. Am I comparing a luxury 5 star resort with this place? Yes. Let me tell you why. First off I'm not talking about the amenities of a luxury 5 star resort but the actual overall experience, the customer service, the value, and the stay. All of it wonderful. The Pear Tree Inn may not be the fanciest hotel in town but it has to be the friendliest! I stay here often and am always greeted like a long lost friend. The staff goes out of their way to make sure you are well taken care of, they are always smiling, and you feel appreciated at every contact. Happy hour in the evening is a great bonus and it feels like you never meet a stranger here. Last month I even shared my birthday cake with patrons and staff...serving up slices after washing my hands, sanitizing, following social distance standards, and while wearing a mask, of course. The hotel does take the COVID precautions very seriously and protocols are enforced but they somehow still let you know they are smiling behind their mask. Kudos to the leadership team here for making the best out of a pandemic and balancing amazing customer service with cautionary practices to keep everyone safe. See you soon! read more

The hotel is perfect central location near Denny's, Walmart, Kohl's, & Quicktrip. The staffs are friendly. Love the continental breakfast including scramble egg, sausage, biscuit & gravy. Full bars including coffee & oj & apple juice. Love the free popcorn & sodas for mid day snacks. Their coffee tasted bitter tho, they don't clean the filter often. The hotel is pets friendly. Hope they placed all the pets on the first floor. I have very sensitive skin, please lay low on your softener on the sheet. The bed was very uncomfortable. I kept hitting my head to the headboard, my skin itched so bad from the softener possibly from pet fleas?? Other than the stay is somewhat pleasant. Dear management: If you can have pet friendly room, please have hypoallergenic room, Hilton has it! Please wash your sheets with unscented detergent & baking soda read more

My family has never stayed in a Pear Tree previously and we're happy with this experience. It's a nice place, modern lobby, free wifi, free hot breakfast which I really enjoyed (eggs, donuts, sausage, waffles, bagels, biscuits/gravy). Their coffee was good too, not watered down. We have just recently stayed at this Inn. Totally enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious, the beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean. The Breakfast was off the charts. The staff could not do enough for you. Last but certainly not least the wine and cheese at 5 was so nice for a relaxing time before dinner. We've moved from St.Louis 26 years ago. If this looks like an old Drury Inn, you're right. They built a new Drury next door, called this a Pear Tree, and knocked between $15-$30 a night off the price. Rooms are on the small side (hey, it's older) but most of the Drury perks remain: free hot breakfast, free drinks at night, free hour of long distance at night, free WiFi. The only freebie they have next door that you won't find at the Pear Tree is the free hot appetizers at night, and those are usually forgettable. The wine isn't the greatest and the beer is Bud Lignt but it's free. The soda fountain is kept open until 10 pm. Front desk service is fantastic. I don't mind a smaller older room when I can get the rest of the Drury experience for this price. It's a great deal. Plus the rooms are quiet. Even when it's a full house, you don't hear your neighbors or slamming doors. read more

I arrived without a reservation. So the front lady immediately said "I think we're full for the night. You can try next door but it's more like 150." I said no. Then she actually looked and said "what kind of room are you looking for" after telling me they didn't have a queen she said they had two double beds available. Fine. I'm tired. They charged 100 for a double room with terrible hot breakfast (the egg from a plastic bag and water logged sausage with watery coffee). The room floor had a sticky spot I kept stepping on. Ew. Also they didn't have individual shampoos. It's one of those push mounted things on the wall and it took like 5 min to get enough conditioner. On top of that, the quality of soap shampoo and conditioner was the worst I've ever used in my life, no joke. Get it together, never staying again. read more

We stayed here for over a week. This place worked fine for us: cheap price, free breakfast, free wifi, free parking. We never were able to take advantage of the free evening wine/beer and popcorn, and didn't need the free long distance. But the room was comfortable, the fitness center was doable and had AC that seemed to turn on when you entered. We had some complaints. Housekeeping missed our room several times during our stay - yick. And I never heard a vacuum during my entire stay. Double yick. They serve the same breakfast everyday. Some variety would be SO appreciated! Sausage links instead of patties? This is an older place but the price reflects that. read more

A few months ago my folks were in town for a visit. I had reservations at a nearby weekly hotel. My folks need handicapped accommodation, can't get in my house and I thought I had found a place that we could spend time in and cook in together while they were here. Unfortunately the hotel I had reservations at was awful. Dirty, smoky and just gross. It was getting late and everyone was tired. The pear tree was nearby so I called them. The front desk clerk was very friendly and after I explained the situation she gave us a discount. The handicapped room was clean and actually handicapped accessible (this has been a problem in the past- so called "accessible rooms" not being actually accessible) the lobby was big enough for us to relax in after a long day of sight seeing and they had a great breakfast every morning. Pear Tree Inn St Louis Arnold is a wonderful place to stay. Booking and check-in were easy. Our room was clean and comfortable, the mattresses were comfortable for my (regular-sized) daughter and (very plus-sized) me, I requested and received an accessible room and the room amenities were present, clean and in working order. The rest of the hotel was clean and well appointed. We enjoyed the pool and fitness center. There was convenient computer access in the middle lobby, as well as free Wi-Fi. The complimentary breakfast was great every morning - especially the waffle station and the biscuits and gravy. The eating area was kept clean between guests so there was always a freshly cleaned table to sit at. The view while eating was very nice and there was also a television with a morning news program to watch. Orange and apple juices, coffee and tea and fountain soda were all available to drink. The elevator and common area trash bins were kept clean and usable and the laundry room was especially convenient. The exterior of the hotel and parking lot were also well kept and accessible. Best of all, every staff member we encountered was nice, friendly and helpful in every way possible. All efforts were made to address health and safety at this time, yet everything was still warm, welcoming and inviting. All in all, it was a great stay and I received great value for my money. On 6/7/16 we needed an early check in, called the hotel and was told they could accommodate. The hotel was well maintained, clean and smelled fresh. The room was comfortable, everything worked and was tastefully decorated. The pool was nice and breakfast was very good for a hotel breakfast. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Got a smoke free room, but that is just smoke and mirrors. From the time you approach the front door all the way to and including the room this place smells like a poorly ventilated casino. My "smoke free room" had more burns than you could shake a stick at. Pool area full of butts (not the nice kind) and gum stuck all over. Yuck! read more
