You will experience no social graces from hygienist and DDS. 12/2024, my cavity was filled. The DDS did not smooth down the cap enough. After 2 more visits, DDS finally smoothed the tooth surface. Being asked to review this place all the time and now I do because I have a good purpose to. I want to acknowledge that the staff at Pearl Family Dentistry are friendly and the office is clean. However, I've had a series of disappointing experiences with their services. Unfortunately, three works done did not meet my expectations. My bottom molar filling fell out twice, and the third time it was overfilled. Additionally, a temporary crown on a root canal fell out just three days after placement. Most concerning, a molar that had a root canal became infected because the procedure was not properly done, leaving a nerve exposed. I had to seek a specialist outside of town to correct the issue. Let me tell you that pain was no joke. I never went back to finish the rest and will not go back again . As they do to collect $$$ they should take into consideration to improve The quality of care and attention to detail instead of lacking . I hope the practice takes these issues seriously and makes necessary improvements. read more

Do not go here they are a complete scam! I went here because I heard good things and they were a lot cheaper than my regular dentist but you get what you pay for. I went in for my first visit and had xrays done. The doctor came in and told me how great my teeth looked in the xrays, then opened another program that scanned my xrays and magically he said oh you have 10 cavities. He explained to me that the program measures your enamel, but when looking at the xrays all my teeth's enamel looked great and he had commented on it before opening that program. Then he took me into his office and pressured me to sign paperwork to pay him $3,500 to get the cavities filled and would start that day. Im 39 and have only ever had 1 cavity so I was very skeptical. When I got home I looked up the program he used and the makers guarantees dentists will find 20% more cavities. I went to my regular dentist today and I have no cavities at all and just needed a regular cleaning. Do not go to this office they are just trying to make money. read more

I'm writing on behalf of my elderly parents who were abused by this dentist. When you go into Pearl Family Dentistry, be ready to be given documents to sign with very little explanation. They made my elderly dad sign something saying that they would do an x-ray and never did only to bill his insurance for the non-existent procedure. In the same week they scheduled my mom in for a cleaning and made her stay an hour extra and pressured her into having pictures taken of her mouth that they said they needed for their records. I called to complain and they placed the blame on my parents by saying that the fault was theirs for not being fluent in English. I was shocked. My parents are citizens of this country and worked very hard to become bilingual, there's no need for insults like these and we won't be putting up with it ever again. My front tooth magically broke off over the weekend making me look like Loyd from dumb and dumber- i was extremely eager to get it fixed because it was hard to talk with half a tooth gone. Pearl dentistry was the only place that was convenient at the time. Thankfully! I got checked in super quick! The dental assistant was nice and attentive. Although he was doing an excessive amount of xrays on my teeth which triggered me to question him why so much xrays, he says that its procedure they have to do it. Im glad that the dental assistant gave me an overview on my oral health but I did get a gut feeling that his diagnosis was little bit shady. When Doc Baldwalz attended to me he started off as caring and sorta funny. But then he started to come off rather irrelevant & personal. I explained to him exactly what I needed and I needed it asap! Just that and NOTHING ELSE. But dr. Balwaz kept on pressuring me and hustling me, he gave me a checklist on all the potential problems on my oral health and advise me to get it taken care of asap as if it was my last day to live. I appreciate the information but I'm only here for one thing and that is to get a filling. Seems like he cannot respect my concerns and instead of getting straight to the topic he tells me stories to change my mind. When he figured that I didn't have immediate dental insurance he pushed me to purchase his personal Dental Insurance. I've already told him that I'm insured and not interested at the moment He continued ranting to me that whatever my dental plans are, it is not good enough- bragging that his dental plans is better -$60 monthly payments & 20% discounts on every procedures- his total procedures with a fancical cost of $5,000 dollars according to the unecessary list he showed me. He tried to have me sign the papers and told me that he doesn't want me to take advantage of his super deal and then flake off, smh extremely invasive & pushy. I politely rejected his proposal and reminded him AGAIN that I'm already insured with a different Dental Insurance. Rudely he responded with a scoff "Do whatever you like I don't care what you've been reading online what other people wrote about me" Im being extremely polite and respectful but he was not. When I asked to review his dental plans and request a copy he hesitated heavily. I'm just like "Hey you're the one offering" he then continue to approach me intrusively and commented. " if I were you I wouldn't even bother fixing the broken front tooth, I would rather fix everything else that you're breaking inside your mouth." He'll crack little jokes here and there like "stop breaking all your teeth" I'm a humorous person myself so I just kinda shrugged off his little side jokes. As we both insisted on what's best for me. I keep on pleading with him to just fix my broken tooth. I'm already paying out of pocket anyway I cannot stress this enough! Just give me a fill. He commented "if you get a fill it's just going break off today I don't recommend it, You need a crown!" Thanks for the Wonderful Discoyragement but Dr. I only brought enough cash for a fill not for a $1,000 crown that you're offering. Im on a time limit right now and can always make appointments for it some other time They didn't rinse my mouth with the water tube during the procedure. All they did was stuck a useless air tube in my mouth, after the operation the dental assistant immediately tried to book the next appointment. I wasnt interested in anymore appointments at any given time. The lady ask me oh why? Why don't you want another appoinment. I had to give excuses to get out of it smh. Honestly Mr. Balwaz did a pretty amazing job on my tooth. Very well polished and super shiny except when I smile I look like a pimp with a silver tooth. when I got home to brush my teeth i noticed how yellow the filling was and how white my other teeth has gotten. Now I have to keep the front teeths yellow to keep up with the one yellow filling. Even though the procedure was fast and easy I was left with pain in the gum for 3 days which isn't normal in my experience. Later that day I went to work and told my coworker about my bad experience at Pearl Dentistry. Turns out that we both shared the exact same experience at Pearl Dentistry with Dr. Baldwaz. The staff informed me on what my insurance was going to cover and what I would pay out of hand if I went ahead with the dental surgery ($41). I paid that amount as I was informed. They told me it was paid in full and all was covered. 2 months later I receive a bill for almost $200. The bill stated this amount was owed with in a week and it's the remaining amount after the insurance paid it's portion. I called the insurance company and they told me that the x-ray sent to them was not covered due to quality. I told pearl tho and the said they would send another. 1 month later I get another bill in the same amount with them telling me that there were 3 separate deductibles that I owed. Dr. Badwalz and his entire staff are wonderful. I am a fearful patient that is undergoing massive dental work, in part because of that fear, and Dr. Badwalz and his entire staff worked to make sure I was comfortable and felt safe. At one point I was so nervous that I slid so far down in the chair I almost slid out head first! Dr. Badwalz didn't bat an eye, he just slid me back in the chair and reassured me that I was okay, he was okay and everything was okay. Dr. Badwalz did a root canal on one of my front teeth and my panic level was pretty high. his staff was caring and they took time to make sure I was okay. If I felt like I needed a break everything stopped and more often than not Dr. Badwalz stopped to check on me than I needed. I kept apologizing for being such a big chicken and they kept reassuring me that I didn't need to apologize. They were really understanding. Dr. Badwalz's root canal was so easy to endure. His shots were fast and I hardly felt them. He got in there, got me numbed up and went to work and got it done so that I was on my way and out the door with very little pain. If I ever have to have another root canal you can bet I'll be going back to Dr. Badwalz. my children are grown but if I had children this is where I would bring them. read more

When I first went there I didn't like it because the owner of the business is very rude and ask me why my teeth look like that? Very unprofessional way to word his question. I said what do you mean? Is something wrong? He scuffed and said looks like you been grinding your teeth. I said no I don't grind my teeth, but my tooth has been broken off because of accidents when I played sports. He challenged me on that as if I didn't know and said no you grind your teeth either that or you eat sand. Also when he was looking at my old fillings he kept picking at them, then proceeded to tell me I need new one. Well yes now imma need new ones because you picked at it and made it come off. I really needed to fix my other teeth so I proceeded with my plan to come back. Thankfully, the dentist that I was assigned was the younger doctor which did an amazing job! No complaints to him. Like other reviews I do suggest that the owner should be less rough when handling patients teeth and not be rude about how you approach the patients. The only thing that made me come back was the nice Asian man who cleaned my teeth who was very gently because I have sensitive teeth unlike owner of business/doctor who disregarded my every concern. read more

I have yet to receive a phone call from the manager. Stephanie informed me on June 8, 2021the manager will be calling me within a week and to be patient. It has been 2 weeks. Please do your research and do not rely on the people that works here. I specifically ask Melissa several times and she said they are in network. When I called Stephanie to let her know, she said Melissa was unaware of the specific type of insurance I had under my insurance. I have a detailed bill of what they were charging me for each service with an estimated price of what my insurance will cover from Pearl, BUT when the EOB came from my insurance , the charge for each service was way more. They also perform treatments that my insurance did not cover w/o telling me. Stephanie said those treatments had to be done. Never was I told my insurance was not covering it. read more

Dr Badwalz is an excellent dentist! He explains everything that's going on with your teeth in detail. He discusses with you about what kind of work should be done and asks you for your input, which not many doctors do. Evelyn the hygienist does a very thorough cleaning & she also talks about preventative care. I am extremely nervous when it comes to seeing a dentist, but all of the staff made me feel comfortable and frequently asked me how I was doing & if I felt any discomfort.
