That said, I still paid the 175 dollars (for coming out), even though he could not fix the problem and referred me to someone else, and I fixed the problem myself. If he had just LISTENED to me, and COMMUNICATED, he would have caught the problem right away. (as I did, when I took a second look.) He was genuinely interested in what the problem turned out to be, and wanted to know how I fixed it, but I stopped texting back and forth because of the communications breakdown. If a friend or neighbor asked what I thought of this plumber, ... I would merely say to make sure he IS LISTENING TO YOU, and then make sure he actually UNDERSTOOD what you were actually saying.
