I was looking for a plumber. Ran across Blue Dane plumbing here on yelp. Read reviews as I always do, noticed that 5stars were given to him on numerous occasions and projects. Of course I wanted that kind of service. Sent him a text and was answered back really quickly. Explaining that I wanted a new toilet install as soon as possible. Rick was very accommodating on a day and time. Initially was set for Friday , but I had an opening for Thursday instead. Was it a problem? Nope Rick came in the afternoon at the exact time he said. Got to work ASAP cleaning up as he went. Popped out the old one, cleaned the floor thoroughly and unboxed and proceeded to install the new one. I am a senior citizen whom has problems finding competent help on normal days of the week; however, when I had a plumbing backup on a weekend, shortly after a recent freeze, I immediately received a reasonable quote range, via Yelp, from Rick Hanemann at Blue Dane Plumbing Services. Rick also extended me the same day service within a 3 hour time window. He did show up very close to the time limit, with a warm greeting, smile and apology for cutting so close; however, he immediately assessed the problem, went to work and fixed my backup. He double checked everything to assure it was cleared; and, settled up for the lower end of his quote range, even extending me a "seniors" discount. this guy looking for a quick buck he must only change faucets an fix toilets i call for free estimate i tell him whats going on need washer drain rerouted new pipe and we smell sewer when running kitchen sink for 4 to 5 minutes he starts taking access panels off pulling dish washer to ckeck stack vent then runs snake down washer drain knowing i already called him for free estimate for new washer drain then measures out how far for the new drain 120 feet and he drill 1 3/4 hole thru brick for hot water heater relief line then proceeds to charge me 350 for 2 hours i thought it was free estimate but i was here 2 hours you never said you was charging ok so i said how much for estimate next day gives estimate ok good price when can you do it 3 weeks 5 weeks go by still no call i cll him he said i want to do the job that was april 2025 its now august 2025 i really think he cant do the job if you looking for a good fair plumber call JOHN L' plumbing got my drains and sewer smell fixed free estimate came did the job the next week read more

I checked some of the reviews and 2 companies stood out to me. Blue Dane had the most recent good reviews and I decided to go with them. The communication was very good from initial contact to the end of the project which I liked. Showed up on time introduced himself and went straight to work. Frederick was very efficient and knowledgeable. He hasn't been in business for long but has years of experience. To me, honestly what I paid seemed pricey but for the work that was done maybe not. I don't know the cost of plumbing repairs but the quality of work was great. Frederick stayed around a while to make sure everything was working properly before he left. Had to tweak a few things but all is well now. He cleaned up afterwards. For the plumbing repairs he did for me I would recommend.
