It is consistently 15-20 cents lower than most places and even gives Costco and Sam's Club pricing a run for their money. Plus the pumps are clean and the wait is usually minimal since this is a sleepier part of town. :: They have a working ATM. This might not sound that remarkable, but so many convenience stores have muddied up machines with questionable maintenance and even skimmers (#1) on occasion. That doesn't happen here since their machine is purely a digital screen. :: Most places have an apathetic staff and the experiences are transactional and out but not here. They greet folks, are quick with purchases, and do it with a smile. Considering the sheer range of cast of characters they encounter, this is actually impressive. :: There is a corner of the store where a stash of figurines, mini-shrines, random knick knacks are being sold for a significant markup. It feels a bit like a niche garage sale, except all of the items are propped up on the counter over large ice bins of cold drinks. I'm not sure if I would buy anything from here but it stands out big time. :: Bathrooms should probably be avoided. I passed this gasoline station/convenience store several times when driving to and from my Airbnb!! $2.39 (cash) is lower than Buc-ee's at $2.59 a gallon! What a deal... Too bad I was just topping off before returning the rental car... uhg! Next time, I'll know! The inside of the convenience store was clean and bright. Service was attentive and efficient! I worked at a Texaco station that jumped across the street, taking over one station while unbranding the other, about a year afterwards Texaco forced the station across the street to paint over the black, grey, and red Texaco paint and had the owner paint the place grey. It was then at that moment the homeless lady had the audacity to open my passenger side door to talk to me. As soon as she opened her mouth, I screamed no! She said, "it's gonna be like that?" Surprisingly, she stepped away from my vehicle and left. Then, I put the key into the ignition and drove away. Located in the wilderness of the southside of Houston in the bayou next to the Beltway 8, close to where 45 South meets Belt 8, you will find this Mobil station. It's a handy spot, which often has cheaper gas than most gas along this stretch of Beltway, and indeed within a few miles of this locale. So we tend to stop here for gas on a fairly regular basis. You will too, if you give it a try, as it's handy when you're heading West for sure.
