I happened to be out in Pearland running errands, which is not a regular thing for me, so I figured I'd try out a local coffee establishment. I came away impressed and thankful I made the decision that I did! First off, ample parking. Secondly, ample seating for people who want to come in and either just plop down and do some work there or sit down for a catch-up session. The workers there were all friendly to me. They told me this place has been open for about two years, and that all the beans come from Yemen. Cool! Before I ordered, I had read about the pistachio latte here with oat milk. It was reviewed as delicious, and when I asked the barista, he indeed said it was the most popular thing on the menu. Another cool thing, you can go light on the sweetener if you're watching your sweets in your diet. Also, they add a Haraz spice mixture to it that's all sorts of wonderful. For the pistachio latte, you have the option of getting it hot or cold. I opted for a nice, hot latte. It was delicious. The one thing I would say is that the barista automatically assumed I needed a to-go cup, and when I saw that as part of the order and tried to clarify I was looking to be for here instead of to go, I don't think he got the hint. The reason I say this is because I'm so used to coffee latte art being only done for the for-here cups and not so for the to-go cups at different coffee locations all around, no matter the place, and I wanted to see the neat latte art! Alas, I still only got the to-go cup, but at the end of the day, this is small potatoes because it tasted all sorts of wonderful, even without the latte art. It just a rich earthy feel to it that combined well with the sweetness and oat milk. Oh, and while I didn't get any of the pastries there, I did take a picture of it. It looks so good. One of these days, when I'm not so strict on my diet, I need to try. But I did take a picture of it! I do highly recommend Haraz. This is a quality spot and a nice find in Pearland. read more

Got the Pistachio Latte with Oat Milk. (Those were simpler times when milk was just milk. First, as in few years ago, I had to decide whether I wanted regular or skimmed milk... now in addition to that I have to decide whether I want milk at all..... its tough to live healthy!....) and no ... this comment has nothing to do with this specific coffee shop ... This spot is a local family member's favorite. Smaller cafe with mostly regular seating with lounge area close to entrance as well some outdoor seating. We ordered one Turkish and one Saudi and took a seat. Also, ordered a Bee Bite. Shortly after ordering, we were told the Saudi takes about 15 minutes to prepare. We said we'll try next time and ordered a second cup of Turkish which has two sugars mixed in. Very strong coffee as I remember from our travels in Turkey. Ended up being sweet for us and next time we would order either one or no sugar. Now the Bee bites, oh the bites. Remember having breads, pastries filled with cheese in Turkey and Greece and this was very similar. Topped with Sesame and Black seeds with pieces of cream cheese inside-comes with honey and we put just a little bit as this bread stands on its own. delicious and crave worthy! 2nd visit we picked up some of their milk cake slices-Biscoff (grabbed the last one), Pistachio and Chocolate-all tasty and were enjoyed. Haraz is such a cool spot for unique coffees and teas, especially if you love Yemeni coffee. Their brews are bold. They're known for the Yemeni coffee. I really enjoy their adeni chai. My favorite dessert is the Bee Bites and I love their monkey bite bee bites too. Those ones have cinnamon and cream cheese and you pull them apart.. they are so gooey and warm. Too bad they don't have this flavor all the time because they're a hit with me! Service is good you walk up to the counter and order and then you receive a sign for your order and take a seat and then they will bring it to you. I've tried the pistachio matcha, the regular matcha, the strawberry matcha, the Dubai strawberry cup, and the Dubai cheesecake from Haraz. A friend also tried the pistachio latte. The pistachio matcha had a strong pistachio taste and was delicious! The matcha flavor wasn't very strong, but if you love pistachio, you'll love this drink. The regular matcha was decent, not super strong but fair without being too sweet. The strawberry matcha had an okay strawberry taste but the matcha was very weak. There was barely any matcha flavor in it and was disappointing after the pistachio matcha. I enjoyed the Dubai strawberry cup and thought the chocolate was very rich. The Dubai cheesecake was good but didn't have as much Dubai flavor - I think it would be better if there was a pistachio or chocolate swirl throughout the cheesecake! The display case has many yummy looking cakes and pastries; it would be nice if they added labels to these so we knew what they were and how much without having to ask for each item. Their offerings are on the pricier side (Dubai strawberry cup $11.50, Dubai cheesecake slice $7, matcha $8-9 for a small cup). The employees are friendly! The drinks can take a while to be ready, so definitely order ahead if you're in a hurry. There's a variety of tables and a couple couches in the cafe. There's some outlets along the wall tables. It's a pleasant sight in an otherwise basic strip mall. Admittedly, I'm not a big fan of their Saudi style coffee ($8). It carries a strong aroma and an interesting concoction of spices, but begins to taste odd a couple seconds after sipping it. I tried adding some honey but I couldn't get rid of the weird aftertaste. Their tiramisu fares much better. On first glance, it looks delicately crafted with detailed textures on the top layer. For all my non-sweet tooth friends wanting a dessert that isn't overwhelmingly sweet, this treat is for you. I didn't mind paying $8 for the size I received. I routinely catch up with my friend once a month here. It's the epitome of a peaceful afternoon, and a visit I always look forward to. read more

I consider myself a coffee snob. A friend recommended this place while we were traveling so we gave it a try. I got the iced pistachio latte with oat milk. I've been on a pistachio kick lately with all the hype of the Dubai chocolate. The latte was great. We also got their biscof and pistachio cheesecake and they were so good. We got my son a mango pineapple smoothie. He loves it and we got a couple sips of it as well. My husband likes sweeter coffee and was happy with his caramel macchiato with extra caramel. We got some coffee beans for home as well which they were happy to grind for us. Staff was friendly and don't mind when we asked questions about the menu. Both drinks were very high quality. I loved the cardamom in the Iced Mufawar and my husband loved how his refresher wasn't overly sweet. Prices are on the higher end, but if you stay in to enjoy your drinks they're served in glasses so you feel better about the price. There's plenty of tables available to sit and do work. Great addition to Pearland's coffee scene. I've been to the Sugarland location and this one is definitely smaller, but it still just as busy. Expect a wait when you get the drinks. I've tried a couple of their drinks. My favorite is the pistachio latte. It's a sweet, nutty flavor. I recommend getting less sugar as it is very sweet. I've also tried the iced Adeni and hot adeni. Unlike the pistachio latte the iced adeni is not as sweet and needs regular sugar. I prefer this one hot. They also have pastries. The bee bite is delicious! At $6-8 a cup this is an expensive coffee shop, I wish prices were cheaper. read more

I love Haraz Coffee House! I was so happy when they opened up in Pearland because we don't have too many coffee shops on the West side where I live. It was cold out when they first opened so we took advantage of that and got their Hot chocolate. My 10 year old was in love! she felt so fancy while drinking it. My teenager really enjoyed the salted caramel latte, he says it's much better than sbux. My husband has gotten several different drinks here. His top picks are Saudi Coffee which is a blonde roast with saffron and cardamon. The Iced Sannaani is a Yemeni black coffee with cardamon which is probable his most favorite. My absolute favorite drink is an Ice Mufawar with an extra shot of espresso. The cardamon in this is so great, I just love it. I have to get that extra shot of espresso too, full time working mom of three, Im surprised I don't add even more espresso lol! There is plenty of seating here too, If youre lucky enough, you may be able to sit on the couch and comfy chairs they have in the front. Overall I cannot recommend Haraz enough. read more
