When I went in for a consult, I was unfortunately not a good candidate for LASIK. Dr. Feinerman suggested another procedure called EVO ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens) that I was a good fit for. Despite the higher cost compared to LASIK, I was totally on board. I scheduled my surgery appointment afterwards and I was given instructions on how to prepare for the procedure (I had to put eye drops in beforehand). The surgery center Dr. Feinerman used was in Tustin (Barranca Surgery Center). I had a very early appointment and I didn't have to wait too long. The procedure took what felt like 10 minutes, but could have been way longer (the anesthesia worked like a charm!). I had my sister drive me home, there is no way you should try to drive yourself home after getting this done!! Immediately after the surgery, my vision had a noticeable improvement, with sensitivity to light. Over the next 3 months, my vision stabilized and I don't have dry eyes as often anymore. Dr. Feinerman and his entire team were a pleasure to interact with. Totally recommend this place!!

When I arrived, I was immediately greeted and seen by a very nice medical assistant, who took my history and did a series of standard tests. After this was done, it did not take very long for Dr. Michelle Chun to come see me. She made sure to review my history with me and understand all of the different things that I've tried in the past with regard to my glasses and contact lens prescription. She's incredibly warm and took the time to chat with me. When I told her that most of my work involves screen time/computer work, she immediately suggested blue light blocking contact lenses, which I had been interested in, but had not yet brought up. She got me my samples and had someone check me out. The entire visit was pleasant and efficient. I would highly recommend One Eyecare to anyone who's looking for an optometrist.

I used to wake up every morning with red, irritated, gritty eyes and constant discomfort throughout the day. I tried lubricant drops galore and several different treatments and regimens, but nothing gave more than temporary relief. Recently, I was referred to Dr. Michelle Chun to try a treatment called IPL (Intense Pulsed Light), and it has truly been a life-changer for my eyes. I completed four treatments, and the difference is incredible--my eyes feel comfortable again, the redness has dramatically improved, and I no longer rely on drops all day long. Not only was the treatment effective, but Dr. Chun herself is absolutely amazing. Her chair-side manner is gentle, professional, and educational. What stands out most is his personal touch; he knows his patients not by number but as individuals. He remembers my daughter's trips and asks her about her experiences, making him feel like family to us. I've never had an optometrist go into as much detail as he did. He also made a note to watch me for glaucoma since I have the genetics from both parents - which most optometrist have brushed me off for in the past. The staff are also equally amazing. I can be really indecisive when it comes to choosing frames and lenses options but they're always so patient and helpful when I ask for their opinions. I can also be really picky about how my glasses fit and they have never made me feel bad about it or made me feel rushed. As for the frames selection, a lot of their frames are on the higher end but they do have a small section for more affordable brands. If they don't have a specific frame you are looking for, they can see if they can order them for you but you will have to cover the shipping costs. I did this last year and to me it's worth it because I didn't come across a place that offered that to me. Personally, this office deserves a 15/10. I can't believe I didn't start going here earlier!!
