Updated Review. I purchase progressive lens recently and the staff did an excellent job describing the difference between the 3 tiers. I did not want to spend the extra monies, but after wearing fir a few weeks, I did notice a difference with my vision, so decided to "upgrade" to the more expensive one & so glad that Scope accommodated my request! WOW, what a difference! Thanks ladies for your expertise. I definitely think the cost is worth it as now I can see things much better:). By all means, if you are wearing progressive lens, definitely, do yourself a favor and take the "top tier", you will not regret it even it cost more. read more

I've been to so many optometrists over the years and thought they were all pretty good... until I met Dr. Choi- she is stand out! She educated me about my dry eyes and oil glands and finally found me a contact prescription that felt comfortable. I had my annual eye exam yesterday and she also told me that one of my eyes has a clogged oil gland so I should do warm compresses to avoid future discomfort. No other optometrist has been this thorough with my eye health. This place also has the best selection of frames and sunglasses! Got a pair of prescription sunglasses for the first time and never knew how handy they would be. read more

Dr. Choi is straight to the point and very thorough! She noticed I had a hole in my retina, and referred me to a specialist before the issue turned into anything major. I've been seen by her other optometrists over the years as well and everyone is proficient and very friendly. I really like how I have the option to do my eye exam without getting my eyes dilated here. Also be sure to pick up more than one pair of glasses or sunglasses! My husband and I have been coming here for a little over a year, and always had good experiences....but today was exceptional! Took my five year old for his first eye exam. He was accompanied by his four year old sister. My kids were apprehensive, yet full of spry. The doctor kept up with them both, answered all questions and had fun props to help complete the exam. I was doing some shopping at Westcliff today when I remembered that there is an optical shop there and hey, I have a bag of four pairs of glasses and sunglasses in my car that need to be adjusted. I brought my bag stuffed with glasses in and asked the sweet girl there if she would be so kind as to adjust my glasses...all four pairs of them. No problem she said and she got to work checking them on my face, bending them and using the heat machine in them. Every single pair of my glasses that she adjusted for me fit me absolutely perfectly now. She's an expert adjuster. I wish I would have gotten her name, she was a sweetheart. I browsed the frames while my glasses were being adjusted and they have some absolutely gorgeous and stylish frames here. They had Celine, YSL, Gucci, Maui Jim and other high end brands that I'm obviously not hip enough to have heard about such as Moscot, Ahlem, Matsuda, Garrett Light California Optical, Barton Perreira, Mykita, Raen, Res/Rei, Gotti, and Modo. You definitely don't find these brands at Lenscrafters or Target Optical. I found so many frames that I loved. You will pay for the quality frames here and these frames are very high quality. I tried them on and I was amazed at the craftsmanship that went into these frames. I'm obviously used to wearing cheapie glasses! LOL. Scope Optometry is your place if you are seeking high end, high quality glasses frames that you won't see everybody at the mall wearing. They also do a great job adjusting glasses. Came here to get my eyes checked since it's been a couple of years from my last eye exam. Dr. Choi was great! She was very attentive and explained things thoroughly answering all of my questions regarding my eye health. She even noticed my glasses were a bit wobbly and tightened the screw on them and even applied a sample defogger wipe because she noticed that my glasses were fogging up due to my mask. The eyewear selection was also great, some brand names that aren't the ones you typically find in a normal store. There were these interesting glasses with magnetic sunglass lenses that I'm probably gonna buy from here. If you haven't gotten an eye exam recently or are in the market for new glasses would definitely recommend Scope! read more

They ordered frames that I was interested in for me as an in-network store and facilitated all insurance processes so I can benefit from my insurance fully. On top of that, they ordered my frames multiple time to accommodate my demand for frame quality as throughly no fault of scope optometry, the designer has some defective batch. Went to Scope yesterday and had Dr. Choi do my annual exam which had not been done in years. She was the best -- informative, educated me about dry eyes and oil glands. I bought a new pair of glasses and had my old glasses fitted with new lenses. Unfortunately it takes 2 weeks to receive the glasses back so I only left one with them and will do the other when the glasses are back. Be aware, the parking is terrible in Westcliff so the earlier you can get an appointment, the better. read more
