I have been going to Pearle Vision for several years and always been pleased. This year was different. I don't claim to be an expert. I'm not a doctor. But I do work in the vision industry (retina) and there were many things lacking in regard to my visit. I have not been in two years and no one asked me for my medical history, medication changes, surgical changes, etc. all to which I have had changes. My pressure was not checked. I received imaging but the camera had many blemishes, which were pointed out to me. I was told I have a couple of retinal hemorrhages, which I am very familiar with as I see them everyday in my profession. I was put off by him referring to them as 'Bruises.' Maybe it's me. Maybe I am used to a different standard of care and that I see extreme cases every day and that spooks me. These are my eyes. And I want the best care I can receive and I was completely turned off of this clinic because of the overall care. I was not offered a follow up in x amount of weeks to re evaluate. I was told they would resolve and could come back in a year. In retina a year is a long time. Things change quickly and suddenly. I don't think I will be back. I am seeking a second opinion with people I trust and work with. I am fortunate to have resources at my disposal. I am very fortunate and thankful for that. Not everyone has those resources and I'd hate to see someone who is less fortunate face this issue and it be worse than this. I'm sure I'm over reacting. I'm too close to the subject! Knowing more isn't always a blessing. It feeds anxiety knowing worst case scenarios. But I have that right. And I will certainly advocate for myself. I don't mess around with my vision. I always tell patients that it is better to catch something when you are still seeing it and well enough to take action and prevent larger issues. But that's me. read more

I've purchased two pair of glasses and one pair on prescription sun glasses form this location. My most recent pair of glasses were upgraded progressive lenses with a wider field of vision. I notice after about 6 months the lenses were not holding up well and scratching. I took them in for replacement lenses using the purchased warranty and then paid my deductible. Within a couple of months they were again scratching easily and developing small specks on the outside of the lenses. During this time we move 1,000 away and did not have a Pearle Vision nearby. I contacted corporate and got the response I expected; they would do nothing. They even told me the store manager had attempted to call me twice and I hung up on them. I beg to differ. I received no calls from the store. Don't waste your time with their inferior product. There are much better options out there. read more

This place is an absolute joke. Do not waste your time or money going here. I made an appointment for last week and they call me one hour before my appointment to tell me that the doctor has a "family emergency." I don't get the voicemail until after I show up for the appointment, at which time they tell me that the doctor "left sick." So which is it? Did he leave sick or did he have a family emergency? If you're going to lie, at least be consistent. So I go back today for my rescheduled appointment and I check-in at the front desk. They had me verify that my information is correct, then they give me a screen that I'm supposed to sign my name to, telling me that it's a HIPAA document , but you can't see all of the information that you're signing. I asked if I could scroll up to see what the document is and the girl seems annoyed. While I'm working on getting the HIPAA document signed, the other girl tells me that my co-pay is $50 for me and $10 for my son. Well, no, that is not correct. Our co-pays have always been $10 each. I inquire as to why the co-pay is so high for me and then she proceeds to tell me that there is an additional fee for some eye scan that I don't want or need. Mind you, she did not tell me about this fee or the need for the scan upfront. Not a single person in all the times that I've talked to the staff, trying to make and reschedule appointments, has told me about the additional fee/scan requirement. So she was just going to slip it in sneakily by trying to tell me that this was the amount of my co-pay. That is super shady, unprofessional, and unethical. So, of course, not expecting to have to pay that much today, and having had a scan done elsewhere last year, I did not want to do it again this year. They told me that this was a mandatory policy for their doctor. I told them that I didn't need a scan again so soon, but they didn't want to hear what I had to say. I told them that they could cancel our appointments and they just sat there with blank stares. My husband told them how ridiculous this policy is and we left. It is ludicrous that they force this fee upon people without any advance warning or notice. We will never be returning. read more

We have used Dr. Vervak for years, and have always felt he was the best. Then this year, we go to our scheduled appointment only to find out that Pearle Vision has dropped our vision insurance, Superior Vision. We hate not being able to use Dr. Vervak, but we have no choice but to go to another optometrist. Therefore, if Superior Vision is your vision insurance, you will need to go elsewhere. read more

My husband took his sunglasses in to get adjusted and the girl BROKE them! They would not replace them and only offered a discount on a new pair. My husbands new glasses were made with the WRONG prescription in one lens. When we went in he was give the runaround because it was "past 90 days" so there was nothing they could do. They didn't even try to make it right. Customer service is NOT a priority here. We have spent thousands of dollars over time there and they are unwilling to help when we have a problem. Dropped my glasses off before a two week trip, as the lens was coming off my silhouettes. Upon coming back, I went by to get them, as I had received a call that they were fixed. Once the lady handed them to me, they were still clearly coming apart and I said, you've had these two weeks, you were supposed to fix them. She said, it's not our fault we have had them two weeks. No ma'am, but it's your fault they aren't fixed. She kept arguing the time was my problem, and that wasn't the issue; the issue was they didn't fix them. This unprofessional woman told me that I could feel free to leave. A repair man cordially came out and told me they may need to go directly to the company; which they should have set up and done, knowing they weren't fixed, from the get go; but so many just want a paycheck with no responsibilities of doing their job. Nonetheless, their manager didn't care about their lack of effort and non-existent professionalism either. I will not waste my time there and you shouldn't either. read more

Pearle vision opposite quail spring mall OKC are unreliable and unprofessional. I went in to order a frame for my prescription lens, it took them 6 weeks to get it; although I was told it would take about two weeks to get the frame. Poor customer service by both rep and the manager. I went against my better judgment to get the lens put into the frame when it eventually arrived. Again I was told that it will take another 2 weeks to get it done. After two weeks, I got there after receiving a message that my glasses were ready only for my glasses to be the wrong order. It's been two months and I could not get my prescription glasses. This is the height of incompetence. If the rating had a zero, I would have given this place a zero. read more

We've been seeing Dr Versack for several years. He's great and I would highly recommend him to anyone. However, I can not recommend this office. The front office staff is unprofessional, unfriendly, unorganized, and rude. We never are seen on time. The front staff is always looking for missing papers or files. They told us that our appointment would be preauthorized with the insurance or we would be notified. When we arrived at the office, no one could tell us if the call was made, what was said, or what insurance company they called. So now we wait. When I inquired about how far behind the doctor is, the front staff became defensive and informed us we will be seen when we are seen. We also have to fill out new patient paperwork every time we are seen. This isn't a big deal, except when they asked me to sign a blank form. She informed me that it has to be signed to submit to the insurance company. The manager is unavailable to fill out the dollar amounts that are required for the form. I'm sure she will be out soon, since I refuse to sign a blank document. The doctor is great. The staff is not. read more

I feel like if you are going to shop for lenses this is a great place to do so because theres so many fashionable trendy and up to date options! Awesome brands such as: Tory Burch, Tiffany, Ralph Lauren, etc. However, when I go to order my frames and lenses they quoted me $387 for my lenses ALONE. Due to my vision being pretty bad. I called my eye doctor and they could order the same kate spade frames same price however the cost for my frames and lenses would be $287 much better deal. Often times also, your eye doc will give you a little discount if you order frames from them. This place is a rip off if you have a strong prescription for lenses beware! read more

Besides one bottle of sanitizer and the technician wearing a mask there were zero precautions to prevent the spread of coronavirus. No distancing, only 1 staff member who wore a mask during the exam, even the optometrist refused to wear a mask. I love the doctor, but he doesn't make up for the rude, uncaring, and unorganized front office staff. They don't care if they give you the wrong prescription. When I called back to have them send correct prescription, they faxed the wrong one again. I had explained to the person on the phone the circumstances around my prescription, they sent the wrong one again...I ordered the wrong contacts online thanks to them sending the wrong prescription for verification and when I told them about it they didn't care. When I called yesterday to see if I could get the correct prescription, guess what?...they sent the wrong one again. I called back immediately and they said they'd fix it and send the correct one....I'm still waiting. I'm going into the office as soon as it opens and we shall see how they are...stay tuned for updates. read more

Pros: Online appointment setting. Generous samples. Convenient location. Cons: I felt "rushed" by everyone. I was the last appt of the evening and I felt like everyone just wanted to leave. If you don't want to stay, then don't let me book the appt at time. Also---I had a huge change in the prescription they gave me and no one really mentioned it---I would at least think to mention to the patient, hmm, looks like your eyes have changed in the past year. Have you noticed anything different? When I was trying on my new prescription, the girl was hovering over my shoulder and rushed me in to read the chart. When I told her it was blurry, and that there was something my eye, she just kept saying "can you read the line? But can you read the line?" Lady! There's a piece of fuzz in my eye, give me an effin' second!!! Bottom line: I'm disappointed I came here. I won't be coming back. Go see a different clinic if you want the chance to ask questions or to feel like they actually care about your business. read more

The doctor is great. The support staff wouldn't tell me specifically what I would be charged for before the exam and then they did add-on services without telling me there would be an additional fee. Make sure to have the support staff check off what will be done on your paperwork before your appointment to avoid additional unknown charges. Also, the staff had issues taking payment and putting new screws in my glasses. It took more than 35 minutes just to pay and my glasses still weren't fixed. read more

Don't come here unless you want your time wasted. I understand it's a Saturday but when I walked in, the front had initial told me it'll be about a 30 min wait. I told her that's perfectly fine and ended waited for almost an hour instead... I finally grew a little impatient since I waited the double estimated time and so I asked how much longer do you think it will be, and was told roughly another 20 mins. I had a fantastic experience here! I was greeted upon entering and was helped by a nice lady who answered all of my questions regarding my vision insurance. She sat me down and informed me of all of my options and how much I would pay for each option after insurance. Then, it was time to browse! It can be tricky to pick out your own eyewear, in my opinion and the nice lady assisted me the whole time! She was honest about her opinions and was patient with me since I can be indecisive. She convinced me to try on the styles I would never think I'd like and I ended up loving them! Finally, I had narrowed it down to two pairs and I went with a pair that I thought was fun and unique for my taste and personality. The checkout process was quick and painless. My glasses were ready to be picked up the next day, and I have already received numerous of compliments! I wish I had gotten the name of the person who helped me so I can do a shoutout on here, because she was wonderful! I will be back to this location in the future for sure! read more

This place has horrible customer service from the moment you walk in. I went in for an eye appointment and before I did, I was reassured that my bill would only be around forty dollars. That was a lie. I ended up paying over eighty dollars just for they eye exam. Why tell me forty over the phone just to surprise me at the end? Then I was told my frames/lenses would be ready in about a week but could be sooner and to check in. Well I checked in a week later and was told BY THE SAME GIRL that it was seven to ten business days. Then when I pucked up my glasses today (THAT I HAD PAID FOR) I was rudely told to sit down and she'll be back. The reason for me to sit down was so they could "make sure" my glasses fit!! They better fit if I had to pay for them in advance! I told her I didn't have time so she grabbed the glasses and tossed them in front of me and said "well if you need them adjusted,come back then." From start to finish these people that work here are rude and inconsiderate of customers time and money. They lie to get you in and treat you like crap the entire time. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this place. Frankly, this is the first and last time I'll be coming here! They're not the only show in town. read more

They also have a great selection of glasses and sunglasses usually ready within the hour, unless your insurance requires special made or you want customizations. Took my family to get our yearly check up at the end of December, and had to order new glasses. They had to order my fames and lenses. Was told that my glasses should be ready in one week. Did not hear anything. Three weeks later, I got a call asking me how I liked my glasses. I told them I was still waiting for a call to pick them up. The lady put me on hold and 5 or 10 minutes later came back and said they found them and I could come by and pick them up. I came by and found out that they had ordered the wrong fames. They offered to give me the thin lenses and reordered everything. Went there again to pick them up again and they are still the wrong frames. I scheduled an appointment with Pearle Vision on February 16, 2016. I also scheduled an appointment for my daughter on February 19, 2016 I was told my glasses would be ready by March 1, 2016 and my daughter's would be ready by March 4, 2016. March 1, 2016 came and went and I never received a phone call nor an email from Pearle Vision. I called on March 2, 2016 and no one answered the phone. I did not leave a message, as I felt someone should have at least answered the phone. I called back again on March 5, 2016 and inquired if both my glasses and my daughter's glasses were ready. My daughter's glasses were ready but I was told that mine would not be ready until the following Tuesday or Wednesday, due to some issue with the lab technician being out ill. Mind you, this whole time I'm dealing with the death of my father which occurred on March 4, 2016. I picked my daughter's glasses up on March 5, 2016. After not hearing anything further about my glasses, I called Pearle Vision once again on March 9, 2016. I spoke to a young lady who told me there was a defect in my lenses and they would need to send them back to the lab. She told me she would speak to her manager and I would hear something from them the next day, which would have been March 10, 2016. She also told me they would probably refund me part of the purchase price for my inconvenience. Here it is Wednesday, March 16, 2016 and I still have not received a phone call or an email about my glasses. This is the worst service I have ever received from Pearle Vision. At this point I believe I'm going to call them and demand a full refund and tell them to keep the glasses. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

The lady that sits in front of the Kate spade glasses in the corner was TERRIBLE to me. So rude. Didn't talk to me. Didn't ask me questions. Just said "pick out a pair you like" she tried to up charge me $150 bc she said I "NEEDED" slim lenses and they wouldn't work with the glasses I chose out. Well I asked AGAIN "what pair of glasses do I need to choose so I don't have to pay for the extras" and she didn't say anything just "pick out whatever" I told her 3 times. "I'm not paying for extra" and she charged me it anyways and after I told her I wasn't paying $300 more after my insurance she said "well I guess you'll have to wait til next year to get the regular stuff" NO BITCH. I TOLD YOU OVER AND OVER TO NOT CHARGE ME ANYTHING MORE. She also charged me a $60 fee for tinted lenses without telling me bc my current glasses have them. So would have been nice for her to tell me that as well. Desha helped me choose what I needed & refunded me the money I asked not to pay for ! I went there for a exam and contacts, I put my contact on the counter, along with shades I was given because my eyes had been dialated,I left them on that counter while I was looking at glasses, when I was ready to leave, they were gone, someone had taken them. When I left I was given replacements, when I got home, they were way to large for my eyes , and the wrong perscription. I will never go back there again.
