I called Pearle Panama City Beach parkway Friday morning, checking on my new lens. I was told to come on in. So I drove over and dropped off my current glasses and was told to come back in a hour. I was told they were busy and did not have time right. So we left and came back an hour later. Again, not ready. Told to come back in an hour. Not ready. Manager (Tory SP) said in explicit terms "she did have time to assist."Another employee asked for her help with one of the lens. She said "come back Monday" one of the other employees put the lens in. So I wasted gas and my time. Not good service. read more

I paid over 800. For exam and glasses. The prescription is incorrect. In order to redue I have to pay. The frames are also A problem. I was convinced to do trifocals I've never had trifocals. The problem with that is that they are so heavy and weighs down on my nose bruising my nose. I mention this to them. There isn't any recourse. I'm stuck with glasses that give me headaches while just getting over a 15 day migraine that is still lingering. I use cheaters that work better. Horrible experience. They try to upsell you dilation for $39 even if you have insurance. They scratched my lenses because they ask you to read the prescription off your glasses because they are lazy and want to save time to pack patients in. The so called doc looked at my eye health for less than a second and I had to endure dilation for many hours. I tried to complain to the manager and he rarely comes in for an hour here and there. How can they run a business like this? They aren't even accredited with the Better Business Bureau and the manager goes to the Destin location which is and it is an "F". Avoid! read more

I have been going here for a few year and every year had a different eye doctor. All have been unremarkable with zero personality until now. Dr Dorvall was personality and charm and took time to ask questions and give information to me. I was impressed and hope she stays a while. Eye exam was $185. I went by at about 9:15 (opens at 9:00) and the door was locked. I knocked and no one answered. I left and called later to see if their hours had changed because of the pandemic. I was told no, they were open. I returned a hour later and knocked again, and this time someone answered. My reason for going was to select a new pair of glasses. I was told I needed an appointment. I've been a Pearle Vision customer since the early '90s, all over the U.S. while in the military. They have never required appointments before to select glasses, it wasn't on their website, and no one told me when I called. Really disappointed at the customer service and the nonchalant attitude of the three employees sitting inside when I entered. So, I picked up a copy of my prescription and will find another place for eye exams and glasses. read more

I purchased two pairs of glasses on October 29th at the Pearle Vision, 11570 Panama City Beach, FL 32407. The first pair (FYSH) we're perfect when I picked them up on Nov. 2019, however, the lenses of the other pair (VERSACE) were scratched. Fast forward 2 months later on Fri., Jan. 3rd. This is now the 3rd time I have had to come in due to them having scratches every time! I asked if Denise (head sales) could please clean them up instead & look them over & make sure they are good to go! When I asked for Denise to help me, Donna got an attitude & threw down the cloth onto the desk. I tried to lighten up her attitude by saying "3rd times a charm!" Since this was the 3rd time I had tried to pick up my glasses, I was trusting Denise (lead sales) to be able to look them over thoroughly & take care of me. After she took them over & cleaned them up. She said they were perfect! I trusted her & put them in their case. Before I left I even purchased two bottles of their glass cleaner sprays. On Saturday, Jan. 4th (the next day), I took them out of the case & immediately saw a scratch on the right glass lense & then found a scratch on the left. They sold/gave me glasses w/ scratched lenses for a 3rd time. They were closed that following day (Saturday, Jan. 4th), so I called & left a voicemail about my scratched lenses. No one called me back on Monday, I waited until before they closed to give them a chance to contact me. No one did! So I brought my lenses in to them for them to fix for a third time. Donna was there with another associate & yet again Donna was rude to me, saying, "You took them home with you." As if it is my responsibility for believing Denise & that since I took them home, they are no longer responsible. Even though I was leaving my Versace glasses w/ Donna, she could not give the message to Denise who would handle it. She told me I would have to email the store email & Denise would be in the next day, & she will respond. So as I stood in the store, I emailed the store email as Donna had advised me to do. Denise chose not to follow up with me until Friday, Jan. 10th, by leaving me a voicemail at the end of their work day on a Friday (before they are closed for the weekend). She stated in the voicemail that they didn't like the accusatory tone of my email about my scratched lenses. Implying that I was accusing them of some wrong doing. I was thinking perhaps there was an issue with the lab, which I attempted to specify to her when I directly called her back. Denise in turn kept trying to disconnect the call w/ me, saying she doesn't like my accusatory tone. She said she sent them to the lab & she has the documentation. I asked if I could get copies of that, she declined. She said Dr. Fowler (owner) agrees with her & there is nothing they can do for me, I accepted them on Friday, Jan. 3rd, so now they don't have to do anything. I ended the call w/ Denise, requesting that she have Dr. Shannon Fowler (Owner) call me about this matter please. I have not returned to the store & they still have the frames, lenses, & case which I left with Donna on that Mon., Jan. 6th to get fixed. I have been trying to get this resolved for almost 2 1/2 months now & a couple of weeks ago I was told by Pearle Vision I Care Team that this location is a franchise & they sent this directly to the owner, Dr. Shannon Fowler & he has ignored their requests to contact me on this matter. My glasses are in their possession & Dr. Shannon Fowler (Owner) has not returned my messages or attempted to assist me in any way, shape, or form. It is very troubling that due to Hurricane Michael we have limited options in PC & PCB, & this location would treat customers so terribly, in such a time of need. I have terrible eye sight & I spent almost $700 for two pairs of glasses that I very much needed. It has been almost 5 months since I purchased these VERSACE glasses & I have still not been able to wear my 2nd pair. I would like to say that I am very disheartened by the service received at the Panama City Beach location. After losing my appointment, the amount of disregard shown by the employees, was appallingly. I was literally told, that the employee didn't have time to look up what my State of Florida insurance would cover. The store manager didn't attempt to correct the employee. Horrible customer service. Then to have a stand offish attitude, not once, but each time we were there. Mind you, it was four of us. This store is not so busy, nor in high demand for the attitudes that were present. I am letting you know that I will be telling everyone that works for the State of Florida, Pearle Vision, is not the right fit. It is unfortunate that one store, can ruin a brand. read more

They won't give you your pupillary distance unless you order glasses from their pathetic selection. Finding out if it's a corporate thing or particular to this location but if you plan to order glasses online you need this and you'll pay $100 and won't get it. read more

Pearle Vision is THE BEST place for expert frame selection (to fit one's face and needs, i.e. progressives, bifocals, etc.) They have their Magic Bullet - the lady who manages there is the best fitter I've ever encountered. I've been going to Pearle Vision for about 6 years now, and sadly as time has gone on they have got increasingly worse. The type of place to have four or five staff members there, but not one that is able to answer the phone Lol. Phone just keeps ringing away and they don't even budge, I've seen it with my own eyes while in the office. Not only that, the voicemail box is full so don't bother trying to leave a message. No you just have to drive all the way up there to figure out whether they have your things in stock or not. There have been countless times, where I was forced to drive up there to have my question answered because they can't answer the phone, and they tell me my things aren't in stock, and I leave empty handed. I'd give it another chance but I'm sure they'll just let me down again. Most definitely will be switching over to see Dr. Mona Patel @ The Eye Studio. If anyone is in search of a new eye doctor, Dr. Mona Patel is the one. Hands down most caring, best eye doctor I've ever had, a true bundle of joy. read more

I have a paralyzed muscle in one eye that causes double vision. I had cataract surgery's on both eyes in February and have been having trouble getting a proper fit for my glasses. After two attempts get the right prescription, I went back to get my new glasses and was told that I need to see Denice, the store mgr. However, Mrs. Denice was gone for a few days. The older sales lady had a chip on her shoulder and was very rude. I went back a few dats later and was told that Denise was in a meeting and would be with me shortly. Thus is a small store with no offices for a meeting and there is no one there to gave a meeting with. Denice was on the phone with the store owner talking about my glasses and that she though the doctor was wrong with the prism in my prescription. The would not give me a credit fir the glasses. To make matters worse, Denice had forgotten about my glasses and had them in a drawer for a week, knowing how bad my eyes are and what misery I was in without glasses. This was the second time they screwed me out of money. I have to have a new prescription every few years and because of the rude and negligent employees, Pearle Vision has lost a lot of money. read more

visited panama city beach loaction back in August 2019, service from Dr. Kennedy, was great, not so with store associates, associates were less than helpful, acted as though they were being interepted from what they were doing to assist you. Well, I went back to order a spare pair of glasses, 11/7/19,. Thursday, manager Denise, was less than helpful, said would need to talk to Dr. Kennedy before glasses could be ordered and she only comes in 1 time a week, which happens to be 11/11 (Monday), well 11/14 today, a week later, I went to check on my order only to find nothing had been done, clerks very rude and said Denise was out for 2 weeks and they would talk to her when she returns, nothing they could or would do to assist, so I canceled order and will never use this location again. warning service is none existant.!! read more

This was my first and last appointment here. I was called on the morning of my exam,2 hrs before, and gave them all my insurance information. I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment. Forty(40) minutes later I was seen. The exam was quick, efficient and pleasant. Dr. Patel was professional and easy to talk to. When I came out of my exam 25 minutes later I was informed my exam wasn't covered by my insurance. I wasn't due for 2 more weeks. I feel that they knew this and didn't want the adjusted price for the exam but the full price. I paid but totally feel that they scam people. read more
