I don't know what the knock is about this testing center, but I took my NREMT exam today and it went very well. The workers were polite, from the gentleman at the desk and the proctor lady. I pulled up around 7.45, 15 minutes to spare for my 8am test. I got in the building (was not locked), I knew it was the second floor based on my research prior to coming, shot up the elevator, saw their "pearson vue candidate testing" sign outside the door and I checked in. The person was polite, gave me a number, told me to read instructions, took my pictures, put my stuff in the locker and waited another minute. Proctor called my number shortly, she too, was polite. Had me empty pockets, pat my myself, and off we were into my cubicle. I took my test and voila! NREMT certified. They told me my results will be ready same day and it was ready within 3 hours. I presented 5 different forms of unexpired government photo ID that according the policy on Pearson's website is accepted as valid. I was repeatedly harassed by staff there who refused to accept the ID but would not explain what the issues was. They repeatedly referenced a confidential policy and would not allow me to see it and made circular arguments. I'm filing a civil rights complaint against them with the state of California, so we'll see what happens with that, but staff there were so unprofessional and so uncivil that I can honestly say that I'm not sure if I have ever experienced anything like it in what I would consider an academic environment. Drove one hour and forty minutes to take the test here and the location is so confusing I got guided to another building and went to the wrong center, and finally got to the right place, door was locked, and got told by the bald man with glasses I am so late to the test I should be here much earlier, feels like I was talking to a mad boss and he has the worst attitude. would not recommend this place read more

I scheduled a appointment to take a exam at 5:15pm. I live in Dixon and drove all the way out here for the soonest appointment(over an hour away) and guess what? ALL THE DOORS WERE LOCKED. it was very confusing finding what building it was it and I tried to open 4 different doors that were ALL locked. I am extremely upset because also guess what I CANT TAKE THIS EXAM FOR ANOTHER MONTH NOW BECAUSE OF THIS BULL SHIT. So due to this I won't be able to get subbing job this summer or for a while because the scheduling everywhere is shit. So thanks a lot. All of this just to drive another hour back home. read more

I was at this testing site in March 2024 and had the worst experience ever . Unfortunately, I had to sit by the door (which is constantly opening for test takers coming and going). The proctor at the front desk and the proctor taking people in were so rude and disrespectful. During my exam, I could hear the proctors and test takers who were in the lobby waiting, TALKING AND LAUGHING AT FULL VOLUME. It was INSANE. Even with the door shut, it was incredibly distracting. And when the door opened, it sounded like a kindergarten class at recess. This continued for a good hour. You would think that these proctors would enforce people to be quiet and be quiet themselves...meanwhile while I was silently waiting for my test time, I was on my phone and got yelled at for having it. Put it away no problem. It was ridiculous how they allowed others to talk and laugh so loudly while people just 5 feet away were taking exams, but I get scolded for being on my phone before even checking in? Also was forced to take my hair scrunchie out, but I never saw anything in the list of prohibited items regarding scrunchies. Ridiculous how they enforce the small rules but don't enforce the most important. My score was cancelled due to my disturbances so now I am retaking here again in August since it is convenient to where I live. I am really hoping those proctors got fired. It is indescribable how hard people study for whichever exam they sit for and to be rudely distracted by the proctors is unacceptable. read more

This has to be the best Pearson Vue centers I've been to. The location as others have said can be difficult, that being said, just use google maps and be willing to walk around and you'll be fine. The location is surrounded by other buildings which can become overwhelming. Show up to your exam early, be willing to park and walk around. The suite is not hard to find one inside the building. There is a men's bathroom close to the testing center, helping to go in right before the start of the study. Sorry ladies, I don't know about that bathroom. This site is a lot smaller than the other testing site I have been to. Upon entering the testing site, the staff is more friendly than the other site I have been to. They are a lot more relaxed, which makes the nervous testing applicant, myself, relaxed as well. The pre-procedure is standard it seems for all of the Pearson sites. Tell them you name, time and what test you are taking. Show your ID and do a palm scan. You are then told to place your things in a locker and to turn your phone off. Shortly thereafter, you are lead to the exam proctor and the pre-exam rules. Patting down yourself to show you have nothing other than the locker key and your ID, and one more palm scan. As stated in my other Pearson review, getting sat next to a person who smashs the keyboard or is sick is not the institutions fault, but sucks otherwise. The kicker with this place versus my last review of the Pearson in Milpitas is the staff. They are really encouraging. Pre-exam, the staff member said I have nothing to worry about and that I'll do great. The test proctor said she likes it when people ask questions because otherwise she looks at the back of people's heads. Upon passing my board exam a different front desk person said "congrats, you passed! great job, man." These words of encouragement make me want to come back to this site. As someone who is nervous from the get go, as understandably, little words from complete strangers go a long way! read more

All around great experience in this facility. The employees were knowledgeable and helpful. I would only suggest that the person guiding people in and out of the testing room wait to speak until the door is completely closed. The location was easy to find. (Some people had stated trouble finding Building #1, but, if you're looking at the fountain, it is the building on the right.) The center is on the second floor, so just walk straight back to the elevator when you walk through the front doors. Came mid-day on a Thursday to take the NCLEX-RN for my nursing board exam. The buildings in the area didn't have address numbers visible unless driving by the very front of them. This did nothing to help with calming my test-day jitters. The testing site itself, was pleasant. The lady at the front desk was friendly and professional. I was handed a list of rules to read just before checking in. My hands were then scanned, my ID and ATT confirmed, and I was then offered a free locker for storage of my personal items. I was then immediately escorted toward the testing area. Before entering, I was finger scanned again, offered a pair of earplugs, and given instructions on requesting a new dry erase board and leave the room. Inside, there were other test-takers lining the walls in their own little cubicles. Each cubical had a camera hovering overhead, recording our every move. The room temperature was warm enough to be comfortable with a single layer on (I was afraid that the air conditioning might be too cool for me, so I came in with a hoodie over my shirt, which kept me a little too warm throughout my exam). The computer lead me through a tutorial with examples of every type of question it might ask before beginning. With the earplugs in my ears, I could hear my own heart palpitations echoing in my ears. When I was finished, the attendant came to me to shut down my test and escort me out. She wished me luck, as did the person at the front desk on my way out. Five days later (three working days), my name was up on the BRN website, and eight days after that, my RN license was in my mailbox. :) read more

You don't come here to have fun: you come because some credentialing agency wants your money and wants to put you through some grueling process to haze you into submission. Thankfully the process is standardized and semi-friendly, presuming that you are a criminal cheater at best, no matter how nice you are. Get ready to show your IDs, follow multiple curt instructions quickly or feel silly, scan your wrist veins over and over, empty your pockets, present your glasses for inspection multiple times, and sit in a poorly lit, cold room for a half a day while straining your mind to the limits for a test that has been haning over your head for months to years. In America we call that quality control. Good thing most of the employees were nice here, but even the nicest still make me turn my pockets inside out; a couple people didn't take into account jitters and made me feel silly, but I surely was silly. I wish this whole thing could be eliminated but it's a hard world. Thankfully most of the building is empty and quiet, few distractions, the fall red leaves outside to remind me of the blood dripping thruogh my organs painfully in a cold dark room. read more

This has to be the least stressful center. The staff were all so warm and calming. The restroom is close by. Parking is convenient. There are lots of great restaurants close by. The only issue is that it can be difficult to find once inside the building. Arrive early to find your way around. read more

Went in here the other day to take my GMAT. Plan to arrive early because it can be a bit tricky to find 'Building #1'. However, once inside, it was a really nice spot. They provide you a locker to store all of your belongings while you are in the testing area. You are not allowed to bring anything with you into the testing area except your ID and Locker key. Luckily, they have really nice bathrooms and a water cooler in the lobby. The staff was amazingly responsive and friendly. They are incredibly efficient and courteous of others taking tests. The machines were a bit older, but everything worked fine. They offer you earplugs and each station has noise cancelling headphones (which weren't the best to be honest, but they served their purpose). read more

Great center. It was A little hard to find building one. When you enter on a Saturday you have to press the button next to the door to be let in. The building is clean and quiet. Clean restrooms. Nice to have my stuff in a locker while taking the test. Using the scanner was really easy. The staff there were really nice and helpful. read more
