I love Pearson's!!!! I've used them for booking cruises and my 40th wedding anniversary trip to Hawaii. I've bought some really cute purses here and they just have to many cute things for adults and kids. "Have you ever been on a long journey?" A quote, from a movie that a Val Kilmer character said, that I always liked. My wife and I are doing something similar to that. We needed a helping hand in planning a trip to Europe we are taking in November. I thought who better to help us than the place we relied on when we booked our honeymoon ten years ago, Pearson's Travel World. One thing that I like about going here is the smell of new leathery luggage that hits you as soon as you walk in. The staff has always greeted me upon entering, even if they are engaged with someone. They are not too pushy but they don't leave you hanging either. When get to the back, the ladies at the front desk of the travel agency are very kind and helpful. They are quick to get you talking with one of the agents. Over the years, I have spoken to a few different people and they each have been extremely accommodating and helpful. Sometimes planning a big trip, like a 10 day to Europe, can be daunting so why not let the pros do it for you. The agent that helped us this time, Chris, found us the best flights possible and he even changed a flight that ultimately didn't work for us the very next day. Overall I am very pleased this place and I will definitely go back to Pearsons's in the future for their service. read more

Went to Pearson's gift shopping. I got two backgammon sets. Very handsome sets in little cases that are hinged and have a handle sort of like a tiny briefcase or old timey suitcase. Gave one each to two of my sons. That was the last Pearson's had in stock, but I wanna go back and get another set for my husband as a gift. Backgammon is a great game. read more

This is absolutely the best place in Baton Rouge to find Vera Bradley!! They're knowledgeable and if they don't have a piece in, they'll try to order it for you. They also have luggage and other stuff. I found out today that they have some of the Christmas stuff that Dillards and JcPenny's carry around Christmas time (you know, the random gifts like money banks and nail manicure sets) already. I visited Pearson's Travel to schedule a much needed vacation to the Bahama's for a group of five people. I was directed to speak with Judy Nicholson and she seemed very eager to help me. They were having computer issues at the time and that is totally understandable, so the agent and I discussed what we wanted to book and she told me she would work on it at home and get back to me with prices. Well it has been a little over a week and I have not heard a word back from her. I contacted her four days after our initial meeting and told her what I had found on the internet as far as hotels and air fare. She then stated that she would get on it and call me back. Still nothing. I am extremely disappointed with the service that I have received and Pearson's came highly recommended from several physicians that I work with. We wanted to pay for this trip in full, and now I have to seek help elsewhere to make arrangements. Maybe the other agents are more helpful, however Judy Nicholson is not. Someone else may have better luck with Pearson's but I will not recommend them to anyone that I know. Also, the physicians I work with were not happy with the service I received from their recommendation, and they will take their business elsewhere. read more
