Had the pleasure to deal with Vince (RV shop salesman) to get all the details and secure the deal on a brand new 2024 Airstream Bambi 20FB. Although out in LA and us being here in AZ, after a nationwide search the RV shop had the best price for this unit. Vince was very thorough and timely to answer all of our concerns regarding this potential out of state purchase. Once all details covered the rest was a breeze from the financing to the delivery of the trailer this past Dec 2024. Chad in finance was also very agreeable to work with and actually met the better RV loan rate % I was able to get on my own which added to the ease of transaction. Once the sale completed, the RV shop delivery team was ready for us and took all the necessary time to cover all aspects and features of this new 2024 Bambi 20FB. I unfortunately forgot his name, but the technician (Frank?) that led the unit delivery truly went above and beyond, he even assisted with setting my truck electronics hauling features (setpoint, gain, test drive). I want to thank the parts manager, Billy, for providing service over,beyond and above!!! I rushed over on a Thursday afternoon and arrived after closing time. The super hero Billy was out the door and in his truck. He saw me pull up and he got out of his truck and asked me if I needed help. And boy did I!! I had a bum power cord and I need a very particular part. He opened the parts dept up and helped me get back rolling. And he did all this with a big smile and a genuine desire to fix me up!!! Terrible place. They charged me ~$750 to fix my generator. When they were done they were sure it was fixed. I was about to leave and as soon as I tried to start the generator, it died and has the same issue I brought it in for. Not only that, but my $300 generator auto start circuit board was fried during the repair, even though they state they had nothing to do with it. It worked just fine until they worked on it. I took it to another dealership, and they stated that The RV Shop connected the AutoStart Circuit to the wrong wires which fried it. So now I am out the money, still have the same situation with my generator, and now have a new board to replace. These guys take responsibility for their actions. They never even returned my calls when I tried to work this out. read more

Salesman named Chris gave me a price of 153k for a 2023 DRV Orlando after weeks of back and forth. Sumbitted a credit app for the dealership, next day now that price is for a completely different model (a 2023 DRV Manhattan) and the model i was originally told i was buying is several thousand more ($169k). Everything is in text and email. There was no mistake on his part, just outright fraud trying to scam me and force me into buying a different model after having my credit ran. Stay away from this scummy dealership with their shady sales tactics. read more

I absolutely cannot explain how grateful we are for the wonderful team at The RV Shop. Even though we didn't purchase our 2021 Renegade from them (we are so sorry about that, too!!) they took us in and treated us like family from day one. Our service advisor, Da'Shawn Franklin, is tops. He listened to and wrote down each of our concerns. He contacted the manufacturer to go over the items and then systematically took care it. They are friendly, interested, knowledgeable and an overall pleasure to do business with. The RV Shop in Baton Rouge has set the service standard HIGH. If your going to spend money on a RV purchase, go elsewhere. This place has NO customer service. Purchased a 2020 Airstream Atlas. Kept for 1 week after purchasing to go over check list. NEVER done.brought back 1 week after bringing home, numerous MAJOR issues. Had 1 month to do repairs, only some done. Had to deal with Airstream. Faulty generator, faulty Hot water heater. All issues the should have diagnosed. Could not even get salesperson. Brandi to return my calls not service related. Asked for and never given General Mgr. number. Overfilled engine oil .Their main objective is to sell whatever they can whatever condition get your money and be done with you. Do you yourself a favor go somewhere else. I have been looking to purchase a camper van for many months. This is a difficult decision process complicated by the myriad of options, many of which I did not understand until I was lucky enough to meet by chance Jonathan Nicosia at The RV Shop. He took the time to educate me on the options, and interview me to determine how I wanted to use the vehicle, then gave me a targeted lists of "must haves." I was so grateful for his time and help. He did not have the specific van that I needed, and told me this particular model and configuration would be very hard to find in a 2023. Imagine my utter shock and dismay getting an email from him a day later with a listing that he found in another state! It was perfect and I bought it. He didn't have to do that, he wasn't going to earn a commission on the sale, but he did anyway, which shows his commitment to PEOPLE. If quality is the difference between what you expect and what you get, Jonathan Nicosia and The RV Shop gets a big checkmark in the quality column. I don't recommend making any purchases here without being on the lot and having the face-to-face discussions. We found a new Airstream on the lot via internet, provided deposit and scheduled a driver to pick up based off of our location (we live in VA). I was flexible with the time so followed all of their schedules but there were so many issues: 1. Had to request the sales agent be more responsive and thorough. Purchase order didn't have the VIN. I asked for the paperwork to be updated with the VIN. VIN was wrong from what was provided on the sticker but got worked out. Instead of offering a virtual orientation or keeping in touch, I had to work with the delivery technician to get one setup. You would think my sales agent would have cared to do so after a $127k wire purchase. She didn't even do the virtual walk through- another agent did the night before delivery (about 2 weeks after purchase). During the walkthrough the sales agent casually mentions it doesn't have a motor for the stabilizers and they should send me one in the mail. They tell me that all Airstreams are shipped without that motor because it is on back order but no paperwork mentioning this or if when it is received, will Airstream cover install at another dealer in VA. I send an email but didn't get an answer from my sales agent. Here is the kicker-my driver gets there the next morning and can't connect. They don't call me to tell me this is happening. They send me pictures that things are looking good while my driver is sending me pictures of the technician trying to fix the hitch latch. They didn't answer my email on this missing motor or process to get critical items overnighted. My driver then sends me pictures of damage on the hitch latch. The dealer hasn't called me to tell me there is an active troubleshooting effort to fix the hitch latch. Three hours later it's determined the trailer was damaged the day before when someone moved it. The "good news" is that Airstream is going to send them motor for install and they ordered a new latch. I asked to speak to the business office to just get my funds returned. I communicate to him that my only request after this lack of transparency is to get a refund quickly. I wired the funds over the day requested and would like the same quick courtesy of return of funds so I can move on. They do promise to get my refund to include deposit and transportation fee verbally but that a wire would take a couple of days...I don't find that acceptable when a wire takes a few hours. I send what we discuss in an email to confirm refund discussion around noon. No response of received or confirmation yet.. read more

The are all around awful. Bought 2 coachs from them one a Midwest and a Siesta Sprinter. I bought a 3rd Monaco Coach at another dealer because of price. to the tune of about $12,000.00. So now they are rufusing to do warrenty work on the same coach. Saying that it would take more than 90 days to fix warrenty and recall issues with The Monaco. That is should take it to the dealer i bought it from. But none the less the other 2 and one (Midwest) I still own we had similar issues and simillar expericances with them. They are just bad to deal with overall. read more

I am a patient individual, extremely patient. I am also an astutely observant one. Being a small business owner myself, customer service is of utmost importance. How one answers the phone, listens, answers questions and most of all makes you feel VALUED and HEARD goes a long way. The RV shop fails in every way when it comes to customer service. I have tried to do business successfully with these people for over a year. Everytime I have been there, I have tried to renew my sense of hope by giving them the benefit of the doubt, but have left dissatisfied, taken advantage of, not cared for and overall treated like crap repeatedly. They only are in business because they have a corner on the market and there is not really anyone else regionally to get the job done. There are a few kind folks there, who do the best job they can in a broken business. And sure, they seem to care, but they are the exception, not the rule. And the ones who might care enough to do business the right way have no authority to autonomy to do so. It is a poorly assembled team trying their best and failing miserably. I would highly suggest going there and doing business with these people if you can avoid it. They will not even over promise (let alone promise at all) and will under deliver. Save yourself a headache and go to someone who knows what the heck they are doing. read more

I have a mobile pet grooming business and have been purchasing propane from The RV Shop for several months. The staff is always friendly and helpful and gets me on my way in no time. Now I have a generator issue with the grooming van and they have gone above and beyond to find the trouble and get me back on the road and working as quickly as humanly possible. I can honestly say, I haven't seen this type of customer service in many many years. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Their expertise and confidence in dealing with the Onan 8000 commercial diesel generator, coupled with their willingness to help will be the difference in keeping my reputation as a reliable groomer and losing it as one who was unable to keep appointments. read more

What wonderful people! We dealt with Billy in Sales, John the Manager and Alyx the Delivery Person. We found our unit online, spoke with Billy multiple times before deciding to purchase and decided to move ahead with it. Alyx called and e-mailed to go over the Dexter issue. In the meantime though, our truck had a major issue that the truck dealership will not be able to fix quickly, due to supply chain issues. So we had to back out of the sale. We felt horrible but put the call in to Billy to let him know what happened. Alyx told us Billy was off for the day so we spoke with John, the Manager. He was so kind and understanding. He immediately refunded our deposit. And by the time I hung up the phone, I had already received notification from the credit card, it had been refunded. Wow! Talk about Service! Very Impressed. When we are back in the market, we will make the trip from PA to LA to buy from you guys!!! read more

Well this "Thang" is finally gone. A true piece of crap. Had to sue them to get a portion of my money back. No service after the sale and blaming of each other : The RV Shop, Thor Motor Coach and Ford Motor Company. Left us stranded and would not start and had to be towed four times in a 12 month period. There are no service facilities within 100 miles of Baton Rouge and no one could locate the problem. I tried to negotiate settlements with them to no avail. I could write a book about this ordeal, but I just want to forget it. They certainly took the recreation out of RV. Beware dealing with any of these businesses in purchasing an RV. Good freaking riddance. I have to say it, "my wife was right". Lost $30,000 on this piece of crap and all these companies didn't seem to care. Please share this dear friends and let's stop anyone else from going through this physical and emotional disappointment. read more

I purchased my 2021 Midwest Mercedes RV 4/20/21 from RV Shop in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and have had no luck in getting any defective items resolved. Rv shop does not call me back or even make an effort to text/email me. The issues are leaks in 4 different locations, which is now making a musty smell inside, one of the blinds will not stay down, sliding door will sometimes not close, the awning works only 20% of the time, the restroom fan doesn't work at all. The solar panels are not charging the battery backup. There are numerous dents along the top part of the RV that they still haven't made an effort to fix that were on it from the dealership. The water pressure in the shower area only drips, so not able to take a shower or use the sink. The process of buying from rv shop has been one of the worst experiences i have ever had and it has made me not want to purchase another rv from anyone in the future. read more

I have been a full time RV'er for almost four years. I have a large motor coach and the RVshop was originally recommended to me as a place for good service. I returned to Baton Rouge every fall and was hoping that the RVshop would become my preferred place of annual service. I have been extremely patient, flexible and willing to work with them in a way to make that happen as I wanted a "go to" place that I could trust. Well, this isn't the place. It ALWAYS took twice the time to complete a job than what they estimated. The pattern developed that if I came in with 5 things to do on my list, they would do one, then the next and so on. Several times a part was necessary to order so if they didn't assess that and order it, I would have half the work done and then they would order the part extending my time there. They also don't allow full timers to stay in their coach so vacating for weeks at a time gets complicated. The quality of their work was especially problematic. Three times when I was called that my coach was ready, I arrived to pick it up (the motor even idling) and it wasn't ready and it was so obvious. A couple of examples are: had some ceiling light work done and when I came to pick it up, the parts were still on the floor and needing to be assembled; had some freezer glides replaced a different time and when I came to pick it up I immediately noticed the freezer door wouldn't close as they didn't install it correctly; had the engine serviced and noticed my air filter was a different color (knew this as I had just replaced it a month before and it is a filter that doesn't need to be replaced annually) so they didn't know it didn't need replacement even though it had a gauge on it. Had a roller replaced in the under bay and it fell off after two weeks. These are just examples. Of the 15-20 or so things I had done there over three years its difficult to identify any of the "fixes" that were really fixed. Letting them know that what they said was fixed wasn't "I could just bring it back and they would look at it". Well, that doesn't work when you're now 500 miles away and not returning for months. I was given the wrong parts more than once and the list goes on. Individuals were usually pleasant but that didn't get my jobs done. . . and the last time I complained I was just dismissed like it was my issue not theirs. This brings me to the "straw that broke....." As I said I am patient and really was working with them to be successful but the list of uncompleted/sub standard work grew. One last chance was the action where by I sent a four page letter to the owner that recounted my three years of disappointment and issues. After not hearing anything back for three months I called them. Twice. Could never get the owner or someone with authority to call me back. After the $10,000+ dollars in business I gave them over three years I thought it was at least a courtesy to call me back. So, they lost what could have been a life long customer and now I don't believe they deserve any more of my business or yours. It is pathetic how they run their business. I will never use them again. read more

We had a great experience at The RV Shop with our recent purchase of a motor home. From our initial email inquiry to the delivery, John was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. He and his service team followed through on all of the commitments he made in finalizing the transaction and was even helpful in recommending lodging and dining for us since we came from out of state. The whole sales process was a pleasure with no surprises. He certainly accomplished his motto of treating others the way he wants to be treated. Our only regret is that we don't live closer so that The RV Shop could handle any future service work we may need! read more

Hands down, by far the worst service and rental department for RV's. Nothing worked in the RV I rented and traveled with. No service technician available to come out and fix or repair and no replacement offered. I never even received an apology. Very arrogant and unapologetic team at the RV Sop. I heard from a friend who purchased a $400K RV from the RV Shop and it was in their service department for 8 months after only having it for 4 months. They'll sell you something, but after that, your on your own. I would never recommend them to anyone. read more
