My son and I just left Silverlake Driving School and I have never experienced such a level of…read moreunprofessionalism. My daughter attended years ago without a problem. My son did everything online 2 years ago and received his permit. All he needed was the road test. I called and set an appointment for 11:30 and was told to bring proof of insurance and the permit. When I went in to pay, the woman was asking for a certificate. I told her when we made the appointment, we were not told to bring any certificate and that he has been through the preliminaries 2 years ago and already has a permit. I didn't mind the fact that she was telling us to bring a certificate. All I would have to do is download a copy and bring it back. The actual problem was her rudeness. She proceeded to tell my son that she texted him the information last night. I informed her that she couldn't have, because she does not have his number, and I made the appointment. He is not a student of the school. We are independent of the school, just looking to take an adult road test. She insisted that she texted him and that she dots all her i's and crosses her t's. She then leaned back in her chair and continued to rudely drink her soda. I told her that we were going to take our money someplace else. She mumbled stupid nigger under her breath as I was storming out. I turned around and went back in and asked her for a manager's name or someone over her. She leaned in and said, "No, I'm not giving it to you!" For her to be so bold she may not suffer any consequences and feels comfortable behaving in that manner, but I just want the public to know the level of ignorance I dealt with today. She would not give me her name, but she is an obese woman with unkept, dark blondish, hair. She looks to be about 45 to 50 years old and obviously works the front desk at times. I believe her name to be Patty Reese. I have also contacted the Texas dept of Licensing and Regulation to file a complaint and will let everyone I know with teens looking to get their license, that Pearland driving school and its affiliate Silverlake driving school is not the place to go. I also plan to tell this story to a Houston-based podcast that discusses matters such as this. We have already gotten better treatment at Houston Driving School. I really wish I would have contacted them first.

Recently moved from California to Houston and needed to have a Texas Driver's License for a public…read moresector requirement. This meant I needed to take a road test, as an adult with 24 yrs of driving experience, 8 yrs of military and federal "motor vehicle operator's" ID, and no Class C road test appointments available for over 2 weeks at DPS. I immediately took a look on yelp, calling the Top 3 based on most reviewed in my area. Tony of Road Ready Driving School was the only licensed third-party testing center that answered. The Road Test @ Road Ready was fairly priced and time slots were available during the week. I was nervous, but competently confident. Tony was a genuine professional, and provided excellent feedback and answers to any question I had. At the end of the Road Test, he asked me about decisions I made while driving a vehicle I'm unfamiliar with and choices I made regarding why I considered not turning right on a red when I was allowed to do so. I saw he respected the logic that if you cannot see far enough down the lane you're turning into to gauge the safety of committing to the change of vehicle position, then it's best to, in my words, "hold what you've got, and commit when it is safe to do so." When my children are ready for official non-parental driving lessons, Tony is the only person I'm gladly calling because I know they will not only learn a thing or two, but also gain the confidence in the decisions they make and the reason behind their choices. Tony, it was an absolute pleasure, if we have to re-certify every year, I'd book you years in advance. 10/10 Would Recommend. Cheers. DRN

I had no driving experience prior to starting my lessons with Road Ready Driving school. Literally…read morehad never turned on a car. KC, Larry and Tony gave me lessons over the course of 9 months to prepare me with basic skills and help grow my confidence on the road. We started with no gas in a parking lot and slowly progressed to road driving. I found each of the instructors to be patient, courteous and knowledgeable. Lessons were always easy to schedule and Amanda at the front desk was helpful when any changes needed to be made. Prior to taking the test, Tony helped me perfect my parallel parking skills and took me on the test route multiple times to help me feel at ease. He also gave me encouragement day of the test to calm the nerves. I passed on my first try! Overall, I could not recommend this school more and will forever be grateful to them for helping me reach this milestone.
