My daughter took this class to help her driving skills. Due to family issues she needed to do the driving portion at a later date, but they refused to let her and deny us any type of refund or credit, so we wasted our money. The location is extremely difficult to get in and out of. You will sit in traffic for a long time trying to get there. The staff was not helpful. I recommend you look for a different place for driving lessons. read more

The fact that this place only updates on Mondays and Wednesdays during school hours being a student based business is ridiculous. Most parents and students are at work until 5:30 pm or commuting home. Wouldn't you consider updating after business hours, so everyone would have a chance to reserve a spot. And if you have limited resources shouldn't you communicate that to parents upon enrollment, so they can make the best decision for their family. The class was great, but the actual reserving of practice hours has proved to be problematic. The other thing to consider is drives are only posted a week in advance not for the month. Very frustrated. Looking for different schools and having to pay an additional $400. read more

I called to schedule a driving test for my daughter and the lady that answered me was so nice and helpful. The day of the driving test came my daughter was sule nervous but Mr. Benjamin was so nice and walked us trough everything it made my daughter feel more at ease and me as well. he truly was amazing. FELT ENDANGERED UNPROFESSIONAL I am writing this review somewhat late, since I was enrolled as a student 10 yrs ago. I am writing it now since my friend asked me if this would be a good place for their kid. I only was able to do one driving lesson, then quit for concern for my own safety and car. The teacher refused to offer instructions when asked, which made me (the driver) very uncomfortable and unsafe for all passengers (including another student driver in the back). Halfway through the drive, the instructor also directed me to go onto the highway, which was pretty scary for someone who was doing his first lesson. Overall, I felt very unsafe the entire time and never went back. A huge WASTE OF MONEY. Would NEVER recommend this place read more

I have 3 daughters. The last thing I want to do is teach them to drive. I am so glad to find someone else to deal with that stress. The price is fair and they start the kids off with class room training and get them set up for a learners permit. After multiple classes and when they have their permits you move on to actual driving. The best part is they take them into all types of situations, freeways, country roads, city driving ect. They get 7 hrs of driving and 7 hrs observing another student driving. Of course I have to do an additional 30 hours driving with my kids but by then Street smart has them trained to handle most situations. The staff is friendly and they walk you through the process well to get your kids behind the wheel. Save yourself some stress and use this service. read more

When my daughter was 16 yrs old I enrolled her to street smart at egret bay for them to teach my teen how to drive correctly and with confidence. After the classroom session and getting a permit to drive she was so excited to be behind the wheel expecting to have a good first time driving experience with a professional driving teacher. As a mom, I was eager to see her face after the first driving experience. She burst into tears as soon as she went inside my car and told me that she will never drive . Her teacher was so mean. I thought it will faid and she will go to the driving lessons again but unfortunately she insist not to go. My daughter is a very good girl who is a high achiever(she's a sumacumlaude) but got traumatized with driving because of the horrible teacher. We paid for nothing and we just accepted it because we thaught it might be just her. But when I talked to another mom, her daughter got the same horrible experience from street smart driving school. Now I realize it's not just us who got that bad experience. I did not leave any comment at once cause I thaught it's just an isolated situation and we just did what normal parents will do which is to teach our child how to drive by ourselves. Now I feel like I want to share this experience to everybody who is thinking of enrol their child at street smart egret bay. This is not the right place to learn to drive. Instead of building people's confidence it breaks your feeling of accomplishment. As if you did everything wrong. Now my daughter who is 18 yrs old knows how to drive not from street smart teachings but from parent taught but it was so hard for her to get out of that trauma. Hope this helps! read more

It is very difficult to get appointment for required 7 drive/observation times. They have an online system that you log in to get appointment, but it is full 99% of the time. The front office's only suggestion is to log in and keep watching all the time. Who has time for that??? read more
