my kiddo enjoys it here! The facility is clean and brightly lit. plenty of parking spots! i noticed that they take older children too and bus them to schools in the morning. We love the teachers! Kayleigh and Dawn are our favorites! It's pricer than many other schools around but they have an admin team that addresses every needs of the school! they have a bowling alley and kid friendly kitchen build inside so they can teach kids to start cooking, learning basic steps like measuring and cutting. they also have multiple playgrounds with covers over the top to prevent sunburns and an indoor basketball gym. The down side is no camera access. overall this place is great! i would like camera access tho. read more

TL;DR - Take your child elsewhere! You have been warned! During the summer, we normally have our son going on various vacations or hanging out with family. We decided to change things up a little bit this year and have him attend Children's Learning Adventure. We had high hopes since he did so well during his Pre-K year about 6 years ago. We were promised that he would have great food, weekly field trips, and great activities though out the week. - Food 2* Admittedly, my son is a little bit picky when it comes to food so I gave them an extra star. Please note that the review is based on his point of view and I cannot verify if it's the case! Examples of some of the meals that were served to him weekly below: Milk was served luke warm and tasted "funny". Pizza was served as "build your own" and was pita bread / sauce / cheese / and turkey pepperoni. So basically a glorified lunchable meal. - Activities / Facility 1* Outside playing was limited to the basketball court. Volleyball and Tennis courts were not made available due to no equipment available. Bowling area was out of service the whole summer. Kids sat in that room and did nothing. Culinary classes was only available twice the whole time he was there. 2 of the "Field Trips" were to the back playing area of Children's Learning Adventure where they either played with water or balloons that had colored water in them. Restrooms for the kids were unisex and I believe is meant to only have 1 child in there at times. My son complained that the restroom had no locks so they couldn't take care of their "business" in peace. He was always concerned that somebody would open the door while he was in there. This caused him to hold it for the most part and would only use the restroom if he had a buddy on the outside guarding the door. - Supervision 2* A majority of the time, the kids were supervised by either high school grade or college kids. It is deafeningly loud in there at times (probably because the kids don't do much through the day and have too much energy to burn). A couple incidents of kids not having enough toys caused some fighting but my son was OK since he knew how to stick up for himself. read more

I was SO excited about this facility because of all the exciting things they have to offer. My 2 year old son was there for ONE day. Two, if you count the trial day. I went to drop him off the second day, which was this past Tuesday, November 28, and before we even got out of the car he started crying and saying, "No mommy"... I didn't think anything of it initially, telling myself that he probably just needs some time to adjust. As we walked closer to the V2 (Voyager 2) he started crying uncontrollably... I don't mean just an, 'oh, he misses me already' cry... I mean a, snot coming out, slobbering, head in chest, gut wrenching cry. But still, I was trying to tell myself it's just new to him... he'll get use to it. In the room, I was waiting for the teacher to try and console him. I was holding him and he was clenching me and burying his head in my shoulder. Let me just say that all of this coming from a TWO year old that is ALWAYS happy and never meets a 'stranger'. He wakes up smiling and out of my 8 children, he was by far the happiest. So naturally this behavior is extremely out of the ordinary. The teacher gets him from me and I walk away. But I just stood outside the door to wait for him to stop crying. As I was waiting, after about 5 min he is STILL crying uncontrollably then, she yells at him and says, "Well just go sit over there then!" As a mother... I wanted to react with anger at the audacity of her to yell at a 2year old in that manner but I waited another 2 minutes to see if she would rectify the situation, which she did not. I walked back into the room and picked him up off the floor and told the teacher I was taking him back home. As I walked back out with my son, a manager saw me, the same manager that greeted me coming in. She did not ask was everything ok nor inquire as to why I was walking back out the door with the same child I walked in with to drop off. I did speak to the director, who might I say was very polite and apologetic... she offered to give me a free week (not give me my money back for the week I have already paid) and to move him to another room. I declined the offer because I know I can not even get my son in the door at this point. So if you are looking for a child care facility, this is NOT the place for you especially if it is for a child that can not express themselves yet. Was in desperate need to find the perfect school for my son.. he's been home with me since birth and is now nearly 3 years old; so being at school would be a big change for him. Children's Learning Adventure made the transition seamless. My son loves his friends and teachers. His teachers were able to get him fully potty trained after only a few weeks! I love that each month has a different theme and activities for parents to get involved. I also really appreciate the daily sheet which explains how my sons day went. Last thing to note is that everyone who works here, knows my child personally by name and greets him everyday, which I think is pretty amazing. Overall, I would highly recommend this place! CLA was very helpful during the pandemic! This location stayed opened as long as possible, and reopened to essential workers as quick as they possibly could. My biggest complaint is security, due to the fact that the doors aren't always locked and monitored. I've come in many times with the doors unlocked, and one person at the desk on the computer, which did not display a camera. They make it seem like they buzz you in, which is not the case all the time. Also, their cameras are always out, so they have no idea what goes on in the classrooms. My son went there for three months, and the only reason he went that long was because I liked his teacher Ms. Ashley, and later his new assistant teacher Mrs. Tee. I also wanted him to have that social interaction with other kids. However, Ms. Ashley didn't come until 9 and before then he would have to be brought into the classroom next door with too many kids to one teacher. The young girl who was there wasn't too friendly. From day one, I noticed a couple of them not being too friendly and appeared to not really want to be there. Although, it may be standard with daycares, I don't agree that you should be charged tuition for things beyond your control like Spring break, Thanksgiving, or Christmas holidays when the kids are out of school, especially the after school program unless you still need them to watch your kid(s). The rate that they charge, and the other kids who do attend during those weeks should compensate for the short term loss. I just think it's greed. My daughter was out of school. Therefore, they wouldn't have to pick her up in the evening, so why should we still be charged for that time period? I switched her over because her baby brother went there for daycare. Her previous after school program didn't charge during those breaks. I decided to remove my son from CLA, but wasn't notified, as a courtesy, that I would lose the sibling discount that I was receiving for my daughter, who would still attend for after school care for a couple of hours. Therefore, I would pay and additional $25 a week for her to attend ($100 more per month). I asked the director if she could assist me with keeping the same rate for my daughter, especially since I wasn't notified when I de-enrolled my son two weeks prior. If I was aware, then I would have had a choice on if I wanted to keep her enrolled at the higher rate or withdraw her, as well. So at this point, it's either pay the higher rate or wait an additional two weeks (at the higher rate) before I can withdraw my daughter. The director, Mrs Tawanna, was very nonchalant and also stated " How would you get the sibling rate without the other sibling?" My point was that I wasn't notified, so I would expect at least some form of assistance even if it was just for a short term......something!!!! I know that she can really do what she wants. She stated, " There's nothing that I can do." I knew this was false, so I just said, "ok" and then hung up. Now they have lost my business completely. So, instead of receiving tuition for my daughter at the rate I was paying, they're getting NADA!!!!! I wouldn't recommend. Don't let the glitz and glam of them having basketball, culinary, bowling, etc. fool you!!!! I live this place and my kids both love this place. We have been coming here for three years. The staff is very helpful, kind, and treat my kids like they are their own. My 6 year old still talks about and visits her past teachers in their classrooms when she has a chance. I am also shocked at the negative reviews because I have only seen great things from this place. I am writing this review regarding Childrens Learning Adventure . My child had been there for 3 years and it's now 2022 . I got phone call on Friday @3:00 pm , from the director " Amy " she stated to me that my daughter could no longer come back because of her incidents reports . She was very dismissive on the phone . Everyone knows that I am teacher . I got off of work & immediately made my way to the school . I looked for director for clear answers . She was gone for the day , when she's always at the school . I then walked to get my daughter from her class and went to the front to ask for copy's of my daughters reports , when we got home I went through her bag and all her belongings were in her bag and I said to myself my child was thrown out like trash . I then went over her reports they never had any of my signature on them regarding her behavior , this year of 2022 , she only had 3 reports . My daughter was let go without any chance or warning a meeting WAS NEVER called to see how we can put a plan in place due to her behavior . Amy the directive was so nonchalant in regards to well being of my child , As the director " Amy "was suppose to bring it to my attention and held a conference regarding my daughter behavior but instead she neglected her and threw her out like trash . Every time I come to the school Amy is always in the office and she never interacts with the parents. My child has been scratched many times including my nephew which means skin was broken and those kids were never thrown out . How are you a leader of the school but you never showed any concern or empathy on a small children , you never came to her mother to talk about these behaviors Every time I would come to pick her up they would say " you will have a better day tomorrow. l I had no idea any of this was leading up to her being expelled. Working with children isn't for everybody , Everyone interest should been what's best for the children . My daughter keeps asking me am i going school today & expressing how much she misses her friends and what's going on . As a parents this is something very hard to speak with your 3 year old about . I understand that we have keep everyone safe but as a mother, parent , and a teacher that work with children all protocol and all options were suppose be followed before being expelled . I spoke with the regional manger Lisa , She expressed to me how sorry she was and how a meeting and notifying me ahead of time was suppose to go on before it got to this matter . Also when I tried to call a meeting Amy expressed how she didn't want to go get the teacher but another director kindly went and got the teacher . The teacher that came in is with my child for 9 hours a day Monday -Friday which was her main teacher . The teacher expressed how all the children can be challenging , but she never has a problem with my daughter , so I was very confused on what the problem was. They have revolving doors full of different teachers , how do you except children to be comfortable with all different faces , kids need structure because they are very adventurous. I would have given it a 5-star rating if the bathroom for the elementary kids was able to give privacy but the doors don't lock and in one of the doors, you can see straight into the stalls. I have notified both management and corporate and I still have not heard if it will be corrected. Their reason was because of kids locking themselves in there. that is understandable but to not have individual stalls to give your children privacy especially when anyone can walk in on them. but they do have a ton of activities and my son loves that. read more

This will be long, but I want to be specific and detailed: Here is my experience. Upon visiting|touring the facility to decide where we wanted our 2 year old son to go (just to get some playtime and socialization twice a week for 1/2 days), we were shown the room where he would stay in voyager two. There were no children or teachers in the classroom at this time. When we walked into the empty classroon I could hear a little girl crying. I opened the door to the bathroom that is connected to the classroom & found a little girl crying by herself. She had tears and snot running down her little face, which made me think she'd been there for a while alone. The girl giving me a tour didn't seem to know how to explain this one away. Aparently the "teachers" don't do the "mandatory" head counts when leaving one area or reaching another. I immediately went to talk about this with the head lady of the school & she seemed genuinely bothered by the incident and tried to assured me that this doesn't happen on any kind of regular basis & that it would be documented and put in the "teacher's" file. Considering that the rest of the tour really made it seem like this was a great place, we decided to give it a quick trial. Day 1: When we walked into the classroom on the first day, the teacher didn't seem to make any effort to make a big deal about my son being added to the group or to make him feel welcome. (Not rude, but not bubbly and sweet like you'd expect someone to act with a group of 2 year olds). Being that I didn't get a great vibe from her, I decided I'd stand at the front and watch the TV monitor of my son's classroom to see how the teacher acted with the class. Well, once I got to the front where the TVs were, I noticed that the monitor for my son's room wasn't working. Once again, I immediately went to the head lady's office and, SURPRISE, she wasn't aware that the TV wasn't working. She said she'd call someone out THAT DAY to fix it. I then decided to stand outside the class and just watch through the window instead. The "teacher" seemed to hold the attention of most of the kids by reading a book and seemed to be doing a decent job with them. In total he was there for about 3 more hours before his 1/2 day was up. Day two: Upon arriving I noticed that the TV for the class was still not working. I walked my son to the classroom and watched again for a bit. The "teacher" was doing flash cards and most of the kids seemed to be enjoying and participating. I left for about 2 hours and came back to do a peek in. When waking up the the glass wall of the room, I noticed that my son was sitting in a chair facing away from the door while most of the other kids were napping. As I walked in I could tell that he was trying to stand up, but couldn't. I quickly opened the door and walked to him. The "teacher" (who seemed surprised to see me there early) quickly pulled the table away from my son and he popped up and ran to me with tears running down his face. The "teacher" had pinned him IN A CHAIR---BETWEEN a SHORT BOOK SHELF AND A TABLE! !! I immediately pulled his shirt up and noticed a red line where the table had been pushed into his stomach to help pin him in the chair where she wanted him. I won't say what I wanted to do to her at that moment, but I just hugged my baby and carried him out and told him we would not come back. Later that day, I called the head of the school to tell her what happened and she tried to assure me that the "teacher" would be fired that day. She asked if we'd "please come back the next day with a new teacher to give it another try", & I told her "absolutely not! " Between the little girl crying alone in the bathroom, lack of video monitoring, only 1 teacher in the room (despite one of their selling points of assuring parents that 2 teachers would be in the room at all times), the disgusting way my son was treated by being pinned between two pieces of furniture, I would NOT recommend this facility to anyone. In all fairness, 95% of the bad experiences we had, we're direct results of the "teachers" for the 2-3 year olds. I can't recommend/not recommended the other age groups care. read more

This review is solely based on speaking with someone over the phone. I just called to inquire about their program and possibly switch our children (ages 2.5 and 14 months) over to their program part-time. The lady on the telephone was polite but would not give any information whatsoever about the program, fees, rates, etc. except that there is a $100 enrollment fee. We are currently in a private pre-school and Mother's Day Out at the other end of town and this school publishes their rates on their website. I also just called the Montessori school around the corner and Primrose who also gave us more information about their program -- including cost! Let's be clear folks .... most people in this day with young children do not have time to come in and do a tour of your school as the only way to find out the cost. By the other reviews of this school it's probably not worth our time or money anyhow. read more

My older son has been with CLA since it opened in Pearland. When we enrolled him we were pregnant with our second son and we enrolled him at CLA as well. What I like about the school is that I truly feel that my children's teachers absolutely love them. There is genuine concern from them for my kids. As a mother, I believe that everything else can be worked out I I have piece of mind when dropping off my boys. When I talk to most parents about CLA thy assume the tuition is going to be high because the facilities are awesome. In all honesty the rates are comparable to other centers (Kids R Kids) and cheaper than others (Montessori of Downtown, Primrose). Before you decide where to place your children it's at least giving them a try and going for a tour. We love CLA! read more

I appreciate the staff here because it feels like a family. Zane, the school age director is always available when I questions or concerns. I thought that when my daughter put my grandson into this daycare it would be an awesome experience for him and it started off that way however since COVID, there has been a lot of changes with staff there and his new teacher who they seemed to have found from the unskilled, inpatient, and no academic ability of America want ad was left to care, guide, lead, show patience for a class full of 3 year olds! The amount of IMPATIENCE She showed with my 3 year old grandson is appalling because she always sent home write ups regarding his behavior yet openly admitting to us to condoning at times. I feel that the administration and staff targeted my grandson over a few weeks by starting this paper trail of incident reports on him over the most ridiculous things so they can get him out which none of the so called behaviors were ever experienced away from this AWFUL school! We had never received so many phone calls or incident reports as we did since this new teacher and it can be challenging for a parent to LEAVE work or have someone else go get your child due to it! Your in the business to care for people's children and lessen the stress of parents worry when away from their child but this daycare added undue stress to our lives because my daughter have NEVER been given the opportunity to communicate with the staff so that a plan could be put into place to rectify the situation! ***Posting again, because it was not visable after a certain point.*** My daughter's 1 year anniversary with Children's Learning Adventure will be next month. So, as you can imagine we have dealt with many different chapters and experiences with the center and staff. Each evening my wife and I get an enthusiastic report on the wonderful things taking place at school. We even get the occasional personal note from one of her previous teachers! I would be remiss if I didn't mention any negative issues that we have experienced. The important thing to remember is that it is the parent's responsibility to take action when these things come to question. There's a huge difference between an undocumented complaint (and/or online review) and a concern that you address and seek an immediate action of resolution with higher administration/management. That's the key. You can only hold someone or something accountable if you yourself are accountable for identifying and requiring an immediate solution. I won't lie and say that customer service is where it could and should be with selective staff, but nonetheless it is a magnificent improvement. I am always enlightened by how clean Children's Learning Adventure is when we arrive and exit. Our experience thus far and I am sure continued will be a similar - wonderful and trustworthy experience. I will note that it is pricier than other child care centers; however, I feel that it is completely worth it. Where do I start?! I will begin with MY dislikes and end with MY Likes (all very true) as a parent I would want to know. I NEVER post Reviews but my child currently attends this school & again as a parent I would want to hear it from the horse's mouth (mommy). WAY TOO MANY CHILDREN TO TEACHER RATIO, my heart goes out to these Teachers, they are clearly overwhelmed, overworked, & underpaid, I KNOW for a fact. I've heard it ALL! Too many children not enough food so any given day your child may get a CHEESE/BREAD SANDWICH ONLY for lunch--witnessed with my OWN Eyes. They really need to take the 'Now Enrolling' sign DOWN. They are Definetly more focused on enrolling then caring for the children & Teachers there--Especially 4 & under. For the Money I don't think it's worth it, All that Glitters is Not Gold. Likes: Convenient to me & my husbands job, my toddler has made alot of friends(more than enough 3yr olds to do so). The Director is SUPER kind along with 50% of the staff. I prefer to be greeted EACH time I step into the school, they have to work on that. The (6) Teachers my child had since day 1 have All been really caring. The Teachers are sweet but don't get a chance to teach the kids because the kids with behavior issues are not seperate from the well behaved & the front desk do not want the Teachers to inform parents if their child is misbehaving. Why does My child still attend you ask? From the outside this place looks great! It has a bowling alley, wow! It looks fancy from the outside but the inside is a completely different story. There is ZERO structure; the children just run amuck! Majority of the teachers seem like they do not care about the children and are only there to collect their little paycheck so they can go get their nails and hair done for the weekend. My child has come home singing inappropriate songs because the teacher wanted to listen to the music that they liked (rap/r&b) instead of kid songs. The director is just awful! She is the most fake person in that place. She does not care about the children and many times the air has been out in rooms for weeks without anything being done until parents start complaining and it's only when the parent is an attorney will she do anything. There are a few people there that are genuine and great; they need to employee more people like that but I'm sure it's hare to get good people when you pay so little. They started a mandatory automatic monthly/bi-monthly charge which has been so screwed up that even though my child no longer goes there I'm still being billed by them. They've said they would take care of it and after asking 3-4 times about it I'm still getting billed and it still hasn't been fixed. I normally don't write reviews on a place that I did not get service, but this place was so over the top in trying to get a simple question answered that I felt the need to share. I called today to get what I thought was a simple question answered. A little back story: I'm shopping around for a summer camp for my daughter and this place is a few blocks away from us. After review of their web site, I was interested in their services. I figured they would be a higher than other places close by, but they have a lot more to offer. I called and the conversation started out nice and friendly, with Rebecca telling me all about their services, new security features such as finger scanners etc. But, then I asked the question of death - how much do you charge? It seems this is a closely guarded secret that they have to kill you if they tell you. No matter how persistent I was for her to give me a hint - anything. The answer was always - you need to come see and talk to a registration professional. I'm sorry, but I really don't have time to waste if this place is not in my budget. Maybe I'm not the client type they look for, I guess you need to be one of those types that - if it's for the children - it doesn't matter what it cost. The tacit they are taking reminds me of a car dealership of yesterday (where they pressured you to come in and look so they could pressure you into a deal). I find this behavior of not answering questions to be sad, I had such high hopes. read more

Our first started here 5 years ago and we now have 3 enrolled. Our children have always been well cared for and always come home with a smile on their face. We have been lucky to have some of the best teachers who have shown our children love and guided them in age appropriate learning. Bad investment!!! No standards ! My child told me he didn't want to go back after the first day and told me he was uncomfortable. Substitute was using profanity and on his phone not being attentive to kids needs, allowed kids to be on their phones and fight. Planned a weekend visit to take a "tour." I could have picked any other summer camps, but I gave them a chance because of the culinary experience .It looked appealing and exciting for any kid, but was nothing as it appears to be . Day 1 , my child was so happy when I picked him up . He is an only child so any interaction with other children is exciting, and it doesn't take much to keep him happy . He told me that it was unorganized, all they did was transfer from room to room or "station " and nothing was coordinated by the teacher . Apparently the teacher was on vacation and there no standards as to who provides coverage. The sub was using profanity and expressing his irritation with the kids, while ignoring their needs being on his phone . When I picked up my son the sub told me that they didn't have a culinary class because the teacher wasn't there. It shouldn't be advertised if it is easily dismissed because lack of knowledge or proper training . We requested a refund , and were told 5 days or less before it processed . It is business day 6 and I still don't have the refund -8 days counting the weekend . I called to inquire about my refund and was told that they would email their corporate office because they have no control over refunds , and that they would include me on the email ; however I did not receive any email. I shouldn't have to follow up this much, or communicate this much with a business who did not provide me quality service . Although the directors were apologetic , it doesn't change the quality of service or standards for other kids in the future . They have done nothing but waste my time . read more

Horrible daycare. The building and the facilities are very nice. But inside, the quality is not good. It is disorganized, there is no structure and no discipline. They took in so many kids that they do not have a real control. It may also be due the poor quality of the facilitators. In the 3 summer months that my daughter was there, she has learned a lot of bad words we did not want her to hear. She had fights with black kid bullies just in the first week and had a fight with another boy. They are trading the quantity versus the quality. Also, the security is not very tight. You can pretend to pick up a kid and be able to walk around inside and nobody will bother you. My child got hurt a couple of times and they never called me or wrote an incident report. Very nice daycare. It is large, lots of different rooms for kids to play. It's nice to see that especially when it gets hot in the summer and the kids are limited to being inside. I think that would be the biggest draw. I've visited other daycare before picking this one. The other ones, though they came highly recommended, had a very small room for 25 kids. Here, there are different "stations" for the kids, a computer area, a basketball court, a mini stage, a "jungle" (with fake grass and trees) for when it gets to hot outside are among a few different areas the my 4 year old gets to rotate through. The outside playground have a large cover over them so there is shade all the time. All the teachers know my kids' names, even those that aren't normally their teachers, and I've only been here less a year. My son is on a special diet and they are very accommodating. read more

My daughter has been going to the after school program during the school year and summer camp in the summers at CLA for 3 years now. She absolutely loves the staff as well as the activities they offer. When I pick her up she always frowns at me and begs to stay "just a little longer". Our son has been going here for almost 3 years. We love this place! We have had some amazing teachers, and I feel that he is more than prepared to start kindergarten next year. I frequently get told (even by random strangers) how well spoken he is and that he his vocabulary is very extensive for his age. He loves going to school here too, which is a huge deal for me. Whenever there have be problems (as there always will be with children these ages) we have always been contacted quickly and resolutions have come swiftly. My two children (ages 2 and 4) go to CLA. I have not had any issues, but only positive interactions! Their teachers and staff seem to be patient and understanding with my kids and any requests we have. I loved that they had a Christmas program this past December! My 2.5 year old daughter currently goes here, but seriously thinking about switching. On the first morning of a new semester she was bounced around from one class to another, because they couldn't figure out where she was supposed to be. After speaking to the front desk I was assured she needed to be in classroom "Voyager 6" and that's where she needs to be dropped/picked up every day. So went to drop her off the next morning in classroom Voyager 6 but was told she did not belong there! So took her back to her old classroom only to be told she was not supposed to be there either! Went back to the front desk and they couldn't figure it out either. Its frustrating that this place is so unorganized. They are big and definitely understaffed. The student/teacher ratio is high and there always seems to be chaos ... kids standing around crying in the classrooms and not tended to, because the teachers are overwhelmed. read more

Please DO NOT put your child in this daycare. I enrolled my child at CLA for about two months and I am a very disappointed. The second week that I picked up my child from here. He had a huge bump in his head and a pretty big scratch on the side of his eye. They did not even notified me that he felt and hurt his head. The teacher that was there could not explain very well how it happened. I was very upset and tried to tell myself that accidents happen but it would not hurt for them to call me at work and give me a heads up. After the second week, he got sick (cold, pink eye at least 3 times, several ear infections and viral infections)every week. They also wanted to increase the weekly price. He at least missed a couple of days per week because I was following the procedure of keeping my child at home because he is sick. Last day that I picked him up, he had pink eye again and they did not even call me to let me know. I can definitely say that this daycare does not care for the kids. Not only letting me know that he is sick and he can be contagious to others. read more
