My brother and I went to five different assisted and Memory Care Facilities around the Temecula Murrieta area, and all of their memory cares look like zombieland. Very few caregivers, everybody sitting around doing nothing, no music, no one doing activities no laughing and very very depressing. And then we found Vineyard Ranch. The facility is beautiful and very well-kept. When we walked into the memory care, everybody was out of their rooms and doing something. People were laughing, talking activities were going on everywhere, and staff were visible throughout the rooms. Completely different environment and that made us very, very happy. She has been there for 3 weeks now, and she doesn't mention going home at all. She tells everyone this is her home and that she loves it there. She's always doing an activity and keeping busy. She's made a lot of friends. The food is good and she finishes all of her meals. Staff are always there to keep an eye on everyone. After any exercise, the staff brings everyone protein smoothies. Every Thursday they have an excursion to someplace fun and stimulating. At a time when dealing with a situation like this, it can be extremely stressful and create feelings of guilt. Vineyard Ranch has made the transition smooth, easy, and very pleasant. We are so happy to see Mom happy laughing and involved. Couldn't ask for more than that.

Thankfully, our experience has been nothing short of amazing. From the beginning, the staff have been incredibly kind and helpful, and the environment is warm and welcoming. A special mention goes to Kat Librojo, the Activities Director/Life Enhancement Coordinator, who has truly made a remarkable difference in my parents' daily lives. Kat plans a wide variety of fun, engaging, and meaningful activities that keep residents active and connected. My parents participate daily in many of Kat's programs--from exercise in the gym, balloon games, trivia, and bingo, to flower arranging, chair Pilates, core strength classes, and their favorite: Thursday Happy Hour with live music! Kat is always full of energy and creativity, and whenever I visit, she's there with a smile, often decorating for the next holiday or special event. It's clear that the joy and engagement my parents feel is directly tied to the caring and dedicated team at Highgate--especially Kat. I'm so grateful to see them not just comfortable, but truly thriving.

Sam and Jose are one in a million (well 2 in a million). In a business that has a LOT of turnover, these two HEROS have been looking after our mom for quite some time and we are grateful to have them. While we hope and pray that no one ever needs the services at Highgate senior living (memory care) rest assured they have excellent care givers. A special shout out to Jessica and her team. While we don't have as much interaction with the evening shift we can give many kudos to Michaela and Joseph. And we would be remiss if we didn't offer an additional thanks to Natasha and Jessica (care partner)

We had to quickly find a place for her to live, and it had to be the best. We cannot say enough regarding the care and quality of life she received. Mega and Nixon, her caretakers, treated her like she was their own grandmother. She felt like she was still in her own home. The disease quickly progressed and my Mother passed away peacefully, in a place that respected her dignity. Thank you Heather, for carrying our family through a most difficult time. We are forever grateful.

My dear Mother suffered from Alzheimer's disease and chronic pain from a shoulder-joint…read morereplacement; as her condition worsened my family realized we needed more help. We chose Alcoba from a referral service that gave it excellent reviews and because of its home like atmosphere. My Mother lived there for the last three years of her life, and my family visited three or four times weekly. We observed the continuous care and monitoring by Emie and Manny; my Mother was always clean, and as comfortable as possible. As Mom became more confused with the disease, Nina suggested a double room and Cory, the house "friend" moved in, and was able to reassure Mom during the night when she was anxious that someone was with her. Her caregivers watched over her as she continued to weaken, always careful to look for indications of pain and discomfort as Mom grew less verbal. My mother was bed ridden the last year, yet she never suffered from a pressure sore because her caregivers carefully re-positioned her many times during the day and night. To my knowledge, none of the six residents of the house ever suffered these horrible sores. Medication was extremely carefully monitored and we were always impressed by the knowledge and skillful administration of the many drugs required for the elderly. The caregivers at Alcoba became our extended family. They grieved as we grieved, and supported us with their understanding, sympathy and skill. Nina, Em and Cory's gift of faith; emotional solace and physical care of our Mother will never be forgotten by my family. Thanks to them, my Mom was able to pass away in peace, in a loving atmosphere, with her family around her.
