My caution to anyone using any agency or hiring a private caregiver is to do your due diligence. Do not hire an agency and walk away feeling secure that your loved ones will be well taken care of. Had I not been watching on the camera to make sure that my parents were safe, they would have been traumatized by this woman being in their home all night. Even after getting her to leave, my mom who has Alzheimer's, was terrified that she would be coming back despite me ensuring her that she wasn't. Anyone who is doing long distance care of loved ones living at home, I recommend if you don't have them already, get cameras installed and diligently watch them, especially when a new person comes to the home whether they're from a private hire or an agency.
