We are so grateful for Heather and her beautiful care home. My mom was diagnosed with a rapid, progressive disease 4 months ago. We had to quickly find a place for her to live, and it had to be the best. We cannot say enough regarding the care and quality of life she received. Mega and Nixon, her caretakers, treated her like she was their own grandmother. She felt like she was still in her own home. The disease quickly progressed and my Mother passed away peacefully, in a place that respected her dignity. Thank you Heather, for carrying our family through a most difficult time. My husband George was here for a couple of weeks before his death on January 23,2023, he to had been in a larger facility, which I was not happy with they plet him fall out of bed three times and sent to the hospital three times. I was so fortunate to find Heather and her business. Her helpers were excellent. I recommended a friend that stayed there as well till his death too and his wife and family was very satisfied with the excellent he received,I am a senior citizen I hope that one day I can go to be with Heather and her staff as my needs possibly will change. read more

I absolutely revoke my review of Concord Estates. I was asked to write a review and at the time things were good. That changed drastically for us and I actually removed my Mom from the Medi-Cal waiver and we are now paying full price for care elsewhere. I felt it very necessary to move her in order to have the quality of her life much better than it was at Concord. I cannot recommend it to anyone at this time. read more

If I could, I would give Heather and her staff at Concord Estates 10 stars. My dad lived at Atria for 3 years in the unassisted / Sheffield building, which he loved. Unfortunately, and like with so many other older people, a UTI lead him from one health issue to another, until he required around the clock care. Atria did nothing to help us and left us feeling disadisappointed and misled. Suddenly, we were having to arrange 24 hour caregiving while also having to look for his new and hopefully LAST home. Luckily, we were directed to Concord Estates by two unrelated, but equally enthusiastic, referrals. I called Heather and it turned out that there was one room open... the same room recently left open by the father of referal #2 and lived in by the father of referal #1 directly before that! It felt like (and I believe was) divine affirmation that we were going to the right place! We were lucky that it happened the way it did, but it is the exception. Most people have to look online, read reviews, and pray that they are making the right choice for their loved one. So I am writing this to let you know that you can stop your search now - take deep a breath and relax. Advocating for your loved one is no easy task and sometimes it feels like you are fighting everyone you come in contact with, just to have them treat your loved one with the respect and honor they deserve! When you move your family member into Concord Estates, Heather and her staff (especially Sammi!) become your new teammates in that fight. Unfortunately, my dad's health worsened quicker than anyone had anticipated and he passed away last week. He was in the ER for a catheter related infection, when he suffered a massive stroke. Sammi and an outside caregiver named Ben came to visit Bill in the hospital the night before he passed. Nobody paid them for that, they did it because they CARE about the people the work with. Heather was in constant contact with my sister, my wife, and me during that chaotic last week in the hospital. She called the Drs and nurses in the ER and the hospital, still advocating for him, right up until the end. She deciphered their mixed messages for us, listened to us vent, and did WAY more then the owner of the board and care facility where he happened to live at would ever be expected to do. Please... take another deep breath and relax now. If you are lucky enough to get your loved one into Concord Estates, thank god and know that they (and you) are in very good hands. read more

My mom fell at home December 2023 breaking two vertebrae and two pelvic bones. Over the next 3 month she went from the hospital to a rehab facility and then a care facility. We did not like the care being provided at this facility so we looked for a smaller residential care facility. After looking at several we applied at Concord Estates. In the 6 months she has been at Concord Estates my mom has gotten great care in a very clean facility. The staff is caring and my mom and I both have gotten close with the care givers. The Owner Heather is an RN who is very knowable in many areas and makes sure medications and all at the facility is running well. I really don't know what we would have done if mom would have had to go to a different facility. Concord Estates is a clean. Caring, compasioate , professional, competent facility. I reccommend Concord Eatates for your loved one. read more

Concord Estates is a lovely house in a lovely neighborhood. The staff are exceptionally caring and equipped. My dad lived at Concord Estates for the last six months of his life. The level of care and attention he received was amazing. The staff's ability to attend to his memory, mental, emotional, and physical needs was exceptional, and only exceeded by the kindness and attentiveness he received. They are incredibly professional working seamlessly with a Hospice team. I don't know how he could have received better and more loving attention. read more

I am so thankful for Heather and her staff! Finding a home for an aging family member can be daunting. After visiting several facilities and feeling like all hope was gone, we visited Concord Estates. When Heather met us at the door, I suddenly had hope. The facility was clean and beautiful and reminded me of my precious auntie's own home. I knew she would be comfortable. My auntie has been living here since 2022. She has a private room and excellent care by an amazing team. They have become like family to her. She is treated with grace, respect and kindness. They actually call her the Queen Bee and she loves it! If you're looking for a home that is truly like a home for an aging family member, make sure you put this facility on your list to visit! I wish I could triple the stars on this facility. It's never easy leaving your most precious loved ones in a home but I couldn't be more grateful for Heather and her staff. They gave my mother in law such amazing love and care! They were very attentive to her wants and needs and always went over and beyond!! In the short time she was there every caregiver became like family to us. Heather is such a godsend and has such a gift for caring for people. She is with you EVERY step of the way and keeps you informed on everything that is going on. She has an open door policy and you can come and go as you want. my husband was a patient at Concord Estates for a short time before his death but Heather and her staff were absolutely wonderful, they looked after him day and night almost every few minutes compared to the first home he was in, my only regret is I didn't know about this home before. Heather and her staff don't treat people like a number but more like family. My mother was only there for a short time before she lost her battle with Parkinson's, but in that time Heather treated her like she was her mother, with the love and respect that went over and beyond for her. I am familiar with Board And Care facilities through past family members and now with my sister in law. I also do physical appointments to all facilities I consider. I do not just consider online marketing and reviews. As I layman , I consider myself knowledgeable about what is out there in relation to Board and Care facilities. With that said, I do not hesitate to say that Concord Estates is by far the most top notch facility I have come in contact with. The administrator Heather R. is an RN who is knowledgeable , realistic and compassionate. She works very diligently to see that the caregivers she hires are trained to her high standards. The home is immaculate , and tastefully decorated. The rooms are private and situated such that someone (a visitor or other resident ) walking by cannot casually stare into a residents room. After you look at a few Board and Care facilities , you will know exactly what I mean. Most have rooms that are more exposed for people to see into . They forget about respect for our elderly and their privacy. Concord Estates makes sure the residents privacy is respected The administrator Heather is very communicative with me about my sister in law. About how she is doing, anticipating potential problems , and making sure that she is well taken care of. Before moving my sister in law to Concord Estates I was constantly worrying about something going wrong where she was before. Placing your loved one in someone else's care is definitely not an easy decision. My parents gave me the best life and I wanted the very best for my mom when I could no longer care for her. After placing her in a large "5 star" assisted living/memory care facility and entrusting them with this precious person in my life, I realized she was being neglected. And so my search began again. I researched licenses, toured numerous homes, spoke to each owner, and read many reviews. I was horrified at what some deem "acceptable" in some of the homes. Concord Estates Assisted Living instantly stood out far and above any other home. From the moment you drive up, you can see a definite difference. The home is always kept immaculate inside and out and is decorated absolutely beautifully. It feels like home the moment you walk in. But even more importantly, Heather (owner) is professional, so knowledgeable and just amazing. I was extremely leery after my past experience and Heather was patient and answered every single question. I moved my mom to Concord Estates Assisted Living in February 2022 and have been extremely happy. My mom is receiving the VERY BEST CARE and every single one of her ever changing needs is continually being met. Heather is "hands on" and is involved in the care and well being of every resident. And, her staff is the absolute best! My mom definitely feels loved and cared for by each of them. Heather and her staff are available anytime to answer any questions or provide an update on my mom. I am always informed of any changes and included in every aspect of my mom's care. I can visit any time and my children and I are always made to feel comfortable and at home while we are there. After touring many other assisted living facilities we are grateful to have found Concord Estates. Our mom has previously lived in a couple other homes. Heather is the owner and administrator and immediately upon meeting her we knew this was the perfect place. Heather's expertise and experience is evident. She and her staff are on top of all the needs for our mom. For example: arranged tele-health appointments, OT and / or PT, hair appointments, and medication management with mom's doctors. We have found the staff are well trained, above and beyond our previous experiences. Heather keeps is well informed when we need to be and mom raves over the healthy meals and how kind the staff are. I have worked in the health care industry and have been in a lot of assisted living facilities, worked on an Alzheimer's unit . So, I have seen really good places and some not so well managed places. As with any family member it is one of the hardest decision to put your loved one in a home. I placed my grandmother at Concord estates. So, she would have a safe , loving place to be, sue to the fact I cannot take care Of her any longer. When I met the owner of Concord Estates . I was immediately impressed with her vision she had and her passion to provide a step above care facility . Her staff is compassion, patient and they truly love their jobs. The home is immaculate, when a loved one needs help her staff is immediately there to assist . The staff tries to make sure the residents know that this is their new home away from home. Meals are freshly prepared and they try to make sure that if a resident wants something special to eat that they accommodate them. Family members are free to come at any time and you do not have to be concerned about visiting hours.
