I just attended a wedding here, and - from the wedding attendee side - it was really lovely. Our friends had a beautiful outdoor ceremony, outdoor cocktail hour (complete with miniature donkeys from the property), indoor dinning and dancing, and outdoor fireworks! The venue had ample room for all guests as well as for each part of the wedding to have its own dedicated space (no moving chairs). It is close enough to Austin to be convenient for guests to attend without spending the night, but still feels like you're out in the Hill Country with beautiful scenery. As only a guest, I obviously don't know what they were like to work with or the price point you could expect to pay for the venue. But it was a really lovely venue - worth reaching out to if to find out more if you're looking for a venue for a wedding or event soon. read more

My cousin had his wedding here. The place was amazingly beautiful both during the day and at night. He was married under white curtains by trees and then had his inside reception just a few steps away. During the night they had lights that lite up the area outside with a romantic atmosphere. During the cocktail hour, they had a delicious queso bar which I ate a little too much of before the dinner. They also had 2 donkeys walking around with satchel coolers with beer in them. They were a unique touch, and the beer was cold. For the dinner I had the Green Chile Goat Cheese Stuffed Chicken. I loved every bite and was disappointed that it wasn't a place where I could take home leftovers. Definitely order this if on your menu! The bathroom has a barn like setting with bar doors on the stalls. An added bonus was they had a golf cart that they used to move our 93yr old grandma so she didn't have to walk the whole property before the wedding and reception. It wasn't far for most people, but for her it helped keep her strength up, so when she walked down the aisle and at reception she was good. My daughter's wedding was held her on April 19. It was beautiful! The drive to the venue is lined with beautiful hill country homes. The grass was perfectly trimmed, and beautiful indigenous flowers bloomed everywhere. No need to spend a lot of money on flowers. The little cottage was a perfect place for the bridal party to get ready. The venue was large enough for the 170 guests to be seated at tables and have enough room for a dance floor. The huge beams are gorgeous. The wedding was under a big oak tree and everything was shaded by 4:00 pm. I was at peace knowing if it rained that we could move to either the pavilion or the large reception building. I love Pecan Springs Ranch. Thank you so much for your wonderful service! read more

PLEASE TAKE YOUR TIME AND MONEY SOME WHERE ELSE. DON'T CANCEL ON THEM EITHER. They don't understand when emergency comes up. Apparently this venue is family owned and ran business. I sent three email the night before I was supposed to meet with Judy at the venue 1 asking about a date - 2 confirm time - 3 what the Percentage of the deposit was. This morning when I woke up I receive the most ugliest email I've EVER RECEIVE in my whole life. "Tell her no tour are available she is rude" not to mention I have NEVER tour this place only exchange about 10 email give or take. Had a 5 minute conversation on the phone with someone. I've never meet anyone from this venue in person and now I'm glad I haven't they will slander your name which is illegal. Always check google review there serval bad reviews here. Austin's gorgeous Ranch style wedding & event venue is Pecan Springs Ranch. As a wedding photographer who has photographed at this venue numerous times I was drawn to the gorgeous sunsets and beautiful backdrops this venue has to offer. They have three or four locations for the ceremony with the most popular one being at the fireplace, make sure your ceremony time is perfect for lighting though. There are so many locations for portraits at this venue. The LOVE sign is amazing for guests to pose in front of and the bridal cottage is relaxing for family and bridesmaids. The event space itself is open and the windows looking out over the property at night are spectacular as lights illuminate the landscape. They even have beer burros for cocktail hour. Guests LOVE these. I don't think I have ever seen this venue not have green grass. This is a family run business that takes pride in being able to provide couples with their dream venue! Called about having a quinceanera and she said, let me stop you there, we do not allow these types of parties. Apparently they allowed 2 other parties like this and they destroyed the venue. We would be 90% adult and 10% kids. Unbelievable and discrimination at its finest. Not everyone is the same. read more

I cannot say enough about how amazing our experience working with Pecan Springs Ranch was. The venue is gorgeous and offers so many different locations to have pictures taken throughout the night to give you tons of variety. They had multiple ceremony site locations and when we wanted to do something a little different they were happy to work with us and get everything just right. The grounds are immaculately kept and everything was in bloom for our April wedding, adding even more color. They were prompt with communication and very straight forward on the terms of the contract. Their preferred vendor list helped us to find many of the vendors we ended up working with which was super helpful as well. I would not hesitate to recommend this venue if you are hoping to have an outdoor ceremony with a beautiful indoor reception space. The bridal cottage was also the perfect place to get ready making wedding day even easier as we were already on location for hair & make-up!! read more

Have you ever dreamed of hosting your special event in a beautiful Texas Hill country setting? Most of us have, but logistics - like the typical long distances to these venues - makes planning an event in such a setting impossible. When suitable venues are located, they are usually absurdly expensive and overly restrictive, requiring that you use their caterers, florists, etc. All of these things add to your cost while limiting your choices. Last weekend, my new wife and I held our wedding at Pecan Springs Ranch. The event was beautiful, with fresh-cut flowers, and a wonderful menu (see my review of Verde's), under the Texas sunset and evening sky. The venue is located in Austin, just 3 1/2 miles past the Y in Oak Hill. It is incredibly convenient to access and only a 15 minute drive from downtown. We discovered the venue quite by chance., And got to know the Smith family, the owners and operators of the venue. They treated us as if we were family and I could not be more impressed by the time and energy each of them devoted to making our wedding beautiful and successful. To accommodate us, they altered their schedule allowing us to have our event on a Sunday evening. Every detail was thoughtfully attended to. More importantly, the family was on site helping to tackle the inevitable problems that arise in any large event. The quality was first rate. Having seen photographs on their website, I never thought that our wedding could be as beautiful, but it was. The venue is absolutely stunning, especially at sunset. There were yard games to keep the children entertained, friendly bartenders to keep the adults entertained, and there was plenty of space for our 450 guests to spread out. Events large or small would be perfect here. With the size of our wedding, we were keeping an eye on cost and, from a cost perspective, Pecan Springs Ranch was very competitive and made recommendations that allowed us to maximize each dollar. The wedding could easily have cost twice as much elsewhere. I look back on our wedding with great happiness, primarily because it is the day I married my best friend. I also am incredibly happy because of the beautiful event that we hosted for our friends, colleagues, and family. I have been to dozens of weddings, never one as beautiful as my own. I have Pecan Springs Ranch and the Smith family to thank for this. If you want a beautiful, Texas wedding without traveling outside of Austin and without spending a fortune, Pecan Springs Ranch is for you. If you want a venue that's your guests will want to visit again, look no further. Of all of the services I have reviewed on the Yelp, this is the most expensive expenditure and the one vendor where the stakes could not be higher. I loved this venue and the team that works there. Many options for an outdoor ceremony but also an outdoor covered area for backup and a great indoor hall/ballroom. I think my favorite part was the cottage for the bride and her crew to get ready! This is my dream venue, but since marriage is about compromise and my fiancé wanted things a little closer to downtown, we went with a different one. Best wedding venue around. We visited a lot of venues in the hill country area and the second we walked in we knew Pecan Springs Ranch was the one. The venue is absolutely stunning with A+ amenities inside Austin City Limits but true Texas Hill Country feel. The grounds are kept to perfection with the most beautiful ceremony cites and locations to host your guests. The bridal cottage is also perfection in size and layout. Very unique to what is out there. We chose the tree line ceremony space, pavilion for cocktail hour and reception indoors. Our guests absolutely loved the grounds - the drink donkeys were a HUGE hit of course and the venue was truly a dream. Everyone we worked with was professional (Judy, Kerby, etc), kind, and on top of it. You are also able to bring in outside vendors, which was important to us, and they also offer a preferred vendor contact list, super helpful. We lucked out with the weather - but in case of rain there are perfect contingency options. All around a win. Cannot say enough wonderful things about this venue and staff. I've been out here for a number of events and while each event I've attended was hosted by a third-party event coordinator, I can say for certain that their staff works really hard. Everything is clean and manicured to perfection. The layout and design of the space feels photogenic from any angle, as if it every single inch of the space was given consideration when being built. The back lawn is a dream beckoning your bare feet. There's tons of natural light spilling into the space for daytime events and the enormous dance floor and wide, open sky on their property make the nighttime just as satisfying. read more

Very cute venue but I was really surprised by how rude the bar staff was. Like, I felt like I was inconveniencing them every time I came up and at one point they even rolled their eyes at me. For as much money as people pay for the venue I would assume that service would be more on the top of their list. read more

We just had our wedding here and everything was perfect! We got so many comments on how beautiful the venue was. Even in the middle of July the weather was perfect, there was a breeze and plenty of shade to take pictures in. Kerbey and her team are very helpful! They respond to all your questions in a timely manner, provide you a cool program to design your seat arrangements and the day of the wedding the grounds were impeccable! They do only off the venue itself, so if you are looking for a place that you can just write and check and they do the rest this is not it. You (or your coordinator) have to bring in all the vendors to make your day complete. I had a blast planning it so it was not a problem for me. We choose all vendors from their suggested vendor list and I am so glad we did. Every vendor they suggested was top-notch! If you can get a date here, book it! read more

Absolutely hands down the most polite, accommodating, receptive, pleasant, attentive staff in the industry. If you're looking at other venues it's a mistake. We started our wedding planning pre Covid-19 for a reception/ceremony on 5/29/20 and Pecan Springs Ranch and their staff stood by our side (adhering to the Governors requirements) 100% of the time. When hiccups arose with our caterer they proactively sought out additional willing to duplicate our menu. When I wasn't able to get to the venue to re-ice down butterflies for my brides ceremony surprise butterfly release, management took it upon theirselves to make sure everything was taken care of. During these trying times Pecan Springs Ranch and staff were a warm embrace in making sure my wife had her perfect day. I can't express it enough, guaranteed not another venue or staff even close to the attentiveness of ours at PSR. We are and forever will be eternally grateful to them. read more

So, we planned our wedding, understanding the May rain chance for an outdoor event. 30 mins before the ceremony started, the heavens opened up (including a small tornado), flooding the back area of PSR preventing the use of the Pavilion for the ceremony and outdoors for the Reception. The Pecan Springs Ranch folks were OUTSTANDING throughout. They kept us updated on changes, gave us running options and seamlessly worked with the vendors to reorient the wedding indoors, where we had a very polished, romantic and MEMORABLE evening ! PSR receives our highest and strongest recommendation. This could have been the disaster of all time - instead, because of PSR, it was the most unforgettably wonderful for all the right reasons. My daughter's wedding was a very special day, much due to the fact it was held at Pecan Springs Ranch. The venue is really spectacular. It was the middle of January, but the grass was green, the brook was babbling (right next to where the ceremony was held), the Bride's cottage was perfect for my daughter and the bridesmaids. We could not have asked for anything more. In fact, we had checked out several of the venues in the area, including the one that was the most expensive (known for $100,000+ weddings), but the staff-owners were rude, uppity, and not accommodating in the least. My Husband and I got married in January here at Pecan Springs Ranch and I would not have changed a thing. It was January so you know it was cold, but the staff was amazing and had heaters that are available to rent for almost nothing and they put them out where I requested them for cocktail hour and they made the coldness of the evening more barrable. The PSR Staff is so helpful and so genuinely nice that they made it such a wonderful experience, I truly did have the most amazing night of my life. The property is just breath taking from when you first dive up the driveway to when you are able to explore and walk the grounds. Since it was winter you automatically think that the grass and plants will be dead, but not at this venue!! The grass was so green and the garden beds were still full of greenery. Pecan Springs Ranch has the most lush and beautiful landscaping that I have seen around the Hill Country. I would 150% recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for a Wedding Venue, a place to have a party, really just for any occasion. My Husband and I can not say thank you enough to Pecan Springs Ranch for all of their hard work they do in maintaining the gorgeous property and their great customer service!
