The location itself looks very rustic on the outside, but inside it's cool, modern and has plenty of seating. You'll find plenty of shade trees and two water stations along with some nonalcoholic drink options. There's no food truck on site, but they do offer a charcuterie board and I was told you can now bring your own grub (still might want to call and confirm though). At the bar inside you'll find a listing of their ciders including some guest taps that rotate. There's two unisex bathrooms near the bar and two sinks on the outside where everyone can watch you wash your hands. It should be mentioned that there is one oddity about this property and that is the small McCuistian family cemetery just a few hundred feet west of the driveway (see separate review). And if that cemetery is not enough to get your attention, the huge Live Oak cemetery is directly next-door with over a thousand graves to peruse through (yes, I reviewed that one too). So if you're looking for a place that produces high-quality craft cider and enjoy the rustic Hill country setting, this is it. A couple of items to note, Friday night is movie night on a big screen outside and on weekends they have live bands. 10 informative photographs included.

I could not recommend this place any more. They truly made our day perfect beyond what we thought possible. Wish I could give it more stars!! Two months ago I was given the task of finding an offsite location for my companies upcoming…read moreoffsite and thought Ruby Ranch would be a wonderful fit for our needs. How wrong I was! Upon arriving, I started to notice that the upkeep of the property was very poor. This is just a small list of issues we encountered: AC units were not working, the kitchen refrigerator was not cooling which cost us over $100 in spoiled items, the kitchen sink had no water coming out, our staff had no hot water in the mornings for showers and one of our teammates got stung by a scorpion while using the towel from her bedroom restroom. With all of these problems arising, I decided it was time to call the owner/property manager Madelyn. As I spoke to her mentioning what we were experiencing, her only reaction was that no AC unit works in Texas when it's 100 degrees, which I know is not valid. She then proceeded to ask me what time we wanted to leave the next morning. This completely caught me off guard as I thought that being the owner you would try and resolve issues your paying guests are encountering. This was far from the response I was looking for! After planning this offsite and having several team members as well as speakers staying at the location, we could not just leave to find another space. We all had to deal with the situations at hand and try and get through the next 3 days the best as we could. Following check out, I decided to email Madelyn regarding all of the problems and inconveniences we all had to handle. Still no professionalism fro her regarding her venue to paying customers who keep her in business. I would think being a family owned business, you would treat your customers with respect and reply on the word of mouth business. We as a company, nor I personally will ever use Ruby Ranch again or refer it to anyone who is searching for a venue. Hopefully this helps someone else from going through the same experience!

We were greeted with friendly hellos, but more importantly, so many people, patrons and employees, greeted our pup! Our pup was so excited! You could tell how special she felt. We ordered from Allie, who is an absolute ROCKSTAR! After telling Allie our preferences, she suggested wine that we normally wouldn't have tried, but boy, does she know her stuff! We started with the "Spirit of the Vine" and a smokey red flight. After Allie's white wine suggestion, I fully trusted her to pick my white wine flight and she did an amazing job! We mentioned that we were on a family camping trip and she sold us on the port wine they make. I usually dislike ports, but this one was just like sitting by the fire eating a s'mores! Smooth, not overly sweet, and soooo good! We sat by the winery's back window and chatted with other patrons. We loved how beautiful the winery was; complete with a cold and hot water station, and to honor those for Memorial Day they had a remembrance table. We can't stop talking about Water 2 Wine. We sincerely hope we get to visit again. Thank you for incredible service and delightful wine.

The membership was a great deal because between $40-60 a month, you get two bottles and two glasses of wine per month with other perks. I figured if I was going to buy bottles anyway I might as well be a member. Looking forward to going back and trying more.
