Fine golf course. Crazy staff. Rode out like 6 holes to find us and ask us what was in our cooler. Then took our beers and refused to give them back at the end of the round. Also rude helping with lost items. read more

This is my second favorite course in the Fort Worth area, I've played a lot of courses and my first favorite is Hawk's Creek. My cousin called me up Sunday morning and we ended up playing a round in the river course, we tee'd off around 11 am and it turned out to be a really nice day after starting off pretty cold. When I got to the pro shop to check in and pay I saw a sign that says no cash! Oops I didn't have my cards with me just cash, I told the guy I'd just wait till my cousins got there to use their card and I could give them cash but he offered to swipe his own card which was cool if him. The course was yellow from the cold weather but the greens were nice, unfortunately the tee boxes were in pretty bad shape as it appears they are redoing them. Can't wait to play this course in like a month it'll be nice and green! If you golf and haven't played here I definitely recommend it read more

Staff was rude and unfriendly and the course was in poor condition. Was disappointed in the experience.

Lost a $400 range finder here 3 weeks ago. I checked to see if they found it and they told me no. So I tried again and they told me they didn't find it. The third time I tired a young lady went to look in lost and found and I told her "no it won't be there" and she said "wait I think I've seen it" and she found it and it was on the bosses desk and was returned to me. Sad that a "boss" at a golf course is holding onto lost items and not placing it in lost and found. read more

Beautiful Course, however the staff in the Pro Shop is far from friendly and inviting. They are very short when speaking to you,this has happened on multiple occasions with the staff while checking into the course being very short and judgmental like people skills should definitely be reevaluated at their front desk read more

I think the River golf course is solid and worth your time to play if you are in the area. David F. was very friendly and helpful when booking a tee time. The counter person was not as friendly as most places I play but the course is good. The greens are very good, they might be the best out of all of Fort Worth's public golf courses. The tees and fairways are above average and the layout is interesting. You have a good amount of variety on the front nine (a par 3 that plays 235). You also can hit hybrid and fairway off a lot of tees. Which is a good change of pace from what other courses offer. The back nine seems to have several par 4's that are all around 375. Walked it in 3 1/2 hours and waited a lot on the back nine. I would play here again when the opportunity comes up. Pro tip *play enough break on anything outside of 6 feet. read more

The courses are in great shape and fun to play. Very little merchandise in the pro shop. They were completely out of golf balls when we played. Only a couple shirts and only three pairs of shoes. I've seen a better selection at Wal Mart! read more

Played the River course today and conditions were pretty good except for a few greens that looked a little rough from what I guess was our rough winter spell. Other than that, I really enjoy the layout. Each hole gives you a new look/challenge. It plays very fair with a few risk/reward holes that can make it more interesting. The fairways are wide enough to let it rip, but the bunker placements make you think twice sometimes. My group had a wide range of skill level and everyone had a good time. I'm giving it one star because of the staff. It seems like nobody likes working here. Their attitudes suck and customer service doesnt exist. Also, during the summer they will come kick you off the course an hour before dark so they can go home. Same situation in the winter. That means you have to be in by like 5:00 so they can stop working and go home. Ridiculous. On another note. The river course is decent. read more

Pecan Valley Golf Course - Golf Near Me - Fort Worth, Texas

Of all the City of Ft Worth golf courses, Pecan Valley is one of the best. There are actually two courses at Pecan Valley, The Rivers Course and The Hills Course. As their name suggest, one is wet, the other hilly. I prefer the more popular rivers course that proves to be quite a challenge even though it's only a par 70. The hills is a par 72 but it's not as well maintained as the Rivers course and if you play twilight, the sun makes it impossible to keep an eye on your ball. The management of Pecan Valley is far superior to any of the other city of Ft. Worth courses. You almost always have to have a tee time, which I prefer, and except for the busy weekend, you typically don't have to wait on anyone in front of you. The greens are well maintained, as are the fairways and a majority of the rough. There is more water on the Hills Course than the Rivers course so if you come out, bring a few extra balls, just in case. read more

"It's okay..." is what I'll tell anyone that asks if I've played the courses at Pecan Valley. The courses are both pretty challenging, which is nice. Not the kind of challenging that'll make you quit, but the kind of challenging that'll make you hate yourself for a few minutes. The practice facilities are okay too. The courses themselves are very well tended to. Always looked nice and I've played rounds there during the summer and fall. Tee boxes were a little rough last time tho. The clubhouse is okay. I think there's an eatery to the left of the pro shop but I wasn't ever inclined to spend more time in there than I needed to. The employees were also just okay. Never friendly, but definitely not rude either. No complaints about the service or the course. But honestly, unless a generous patron is buying or I find a super sweet deal online, Pecan Valley simply wouldn't be in my top picks for a Sunday session of self-loathing with my friends.
