After only light usage the bike developed issues that made it unusable. When we reached out to Whitman's to bring the bike back for warranty service they said to wait while they contacted the manufacturer. A week went by with no response. We then called back and were told the same thing again. We waited some more but Whitman's still did not call back. On the last attempt, my wife was left on hold for 20 minutes and then got disconnected. She then decided to contact the manufacturer directly and spoke to someone within minutes. They worked with us and in the end determined that they would replace the bike through an authorized dealer. We asked if we could do the exchange at a different shop. Our new bike & repair shop is about an hour away, but they are professional and responsive. They got the bike in for evaluation immediately and are handling the warranty going forward. If we were luckier we would simply have gotten the bike from them to begin with. It definitely would have been less stressful. The bottom line is it doesn't matter how friendly or knowledgeable you are selling the bike if you don't follow through when there is a problem with a purchase. Delaying until the customer gives up (or the warranty expires?) hurts both your reputation and the manufacturer you are representing. It's not good business, basically like not having the warranty at all.

I drove to the Centerville location and spoke to staff there. They at first had no idea what I was talking about then one employee said that they didn't set it aside and it was still on the shelf. When they pointed it out, it was a women's size large. This was incorrect but they told me the Kettering employee told them women's size large. Mind you, I was standing next to the Kettering employee when he called over and at no point did he say women's size. The employee then wandered back to the service section to continue her conversation with other staff without any further offer of help or assistance. I would stick to the Kettering location if you need customer service or any type of actual help.

The Giant website didn't cooperate with VPN; we had to re-purchase after Giant auto- canceled our order because with our VPN they couldn't verify our IP address. That's how tight the bike market is!
