My daughter started PediaPlex after we moved back to TX after living out of state. She was diagnosed at her previous therapy center in WA at 38 months. She's been at PediaPlex for approximately 3 years at this point and we are happy with all the staff and services she's gotten so far. The therapists have always been professional and eager to listen to any concerns my husband and I may have. Everyone works together as a team for the best interest of each child. We will continue driving the 40 minute drive 4 days a week to PediaPlex because it's working great for my daughter. When deciding on a therapy center it's important to realize you are part of the team working together for the best outcome. Our son was diagnosed on the autism spectrum at 18months. He is now 8 years old. This journey has brought us to many facilities where our experiences have been very much like a roller coaster. The only indicators of our non verbal child's wellbeing, lay in is his countenance and physical desire to willingly go to a facility where he will be made to go beyond his comfort zone. As a parent you rely on those cues to find the right fit for your child. From the time we entered PediaPlex and found Sonja, and the ENTIRE PediaPlex staff, we knew we had found our fit. From the time you walk in and are greeted with a smile to the time you leave anticipating your next visit. Not only is the facility ascetically pleasing to look at all around from the bright colors and themed areas, but it is laid out FUNCTIONALLY which is so different than other centers. The opposite of clinical in every aspect which is not what you find in other centers. In our time at PediaPlex (2 years) our son thrived and excelled. Going beyond the programming, he was loved on fiercely by not only his therapist, but EVERYONE in the center. Sonja has selectively built her staff to uphold the caring, devoted, loving but firm nature needed to guide these spirited kiddos on all levels of the spectrum. Tayla, Jaymee's BCBA has always gone above and beyond in planning not only Jaymee's programs, but assisting us in parent training weekly, which no other center has ever cared to do. She prepared us for what would be the hardest year when our military commitments meant us transitioning to a new location outside of TX. We were absolutely bummed when we had to leave PediaPlex as we knew it would be hard to find anything like this in a remote location which would inevitably mean challenges in Jaymee's growth. We have fought the past year for the kind of care and excellence PediaPlex offers its clients. There is nothing like it out there. Thankfully we are back in the area and the PediaPlex team is working fervently to get Jaymee back into services and back where he is progressing forward. Grateful beyond measure for PediaPlex. Sonja knows what us mothers fight hard for because she is that mother along side of us just wanting the very best for our kids. She works hard not just within the center, but within the community helping people to understand and bring awareness for the Autism community. It is easy to leave him here knowing he is well cared for and receiving the absolute best services. My son has been going to PediaPlex for 4 months now receiving Occupational Therapy. The staff are incredibly caring and good at what they do! Our son has had therapy services all his life and he loves coming here. He looks forward to it and is sharing the things he is learning. They do not offer physical therapy but they have a wide range of therapy services. I cannot speak personally for those other services but if they are anything like the OT our son is receiving then I highly recommend checking them out! read more

I can not say enough wonderful things about the pediaplex family. From the beginning they have embraced not only our son who recieves services but his sister as well. In a few short months Jaxson is mastering skills which have eluded him for years. It is clear they have a true understanding of the unique needs of of our families. From the play area for waiting siblings or the shared learning library it is all the little details that make a big difference. I am proud to say we are now part of the PediaPlex family. After years of being lost, and not knowing what to do or where to turn, I was told about PediaPlex. They have done so much for our family and I can never thank them enough. Every staff member is so nice and professional. You can tell they really LOVE what they do! They have made my child feel so special and they have helped him so much. The facility is absolutely incredible and it makes you feel like you're at home, instead of at a doctors office. We finally found the place that can help our son and family. Pediaplex worked to get us in quickly for an evaluation (not 6 mos. like Cook's for a child study that was of little help), received diagnosis, treatment plan and first therapy session in less than 2 weeks. Pediaplex takes most insurance and works to get you the best help within your insurance plan. They make it all work to actually get you and your child the help needed. 8 half hour OT sessions and one 6wk group therapy later, our son has gotten the boost needed for what has been holding him back. Wow, so impressed with the care my son got at Pediaplex last week. The therapists were fantastic with him and he really felt comfortable working with him. We've had problems with him in school and were recommended to take him to Pediaplex. That was the best tip we've received. He saw a speech therapist and in his one visit already was showing improvements. What a find! The only weird thing was the owner of the place came to say hello to us when we were waiting in the reception area. She's really over the top and wouldn't stop talking about herself or her daughter. I thought she'd never stop talking! Ugh. But fortunately the therapist came in and saved us! I am so happy with the care my son received we are coming back as often as our insurance will allow. read more

My son was not diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum until 10 years of age. This was because he was so, so unusually smart. He was diagnosed with Asperger's at 10 because that is when we begin to see social skills being very important. Pediaplex is way behind in their ideas for occupational therapy. They used old techniques such as 'brushing'. There are new and better ways for sensory stimulation. On a positive note, I would say that the Occupational Therapy was way better than the Speech Therapy. The Speech Therapist was very emotional. Every time she spoke of previous clients, she would cry. I am not unfeeling, however, this is unprofessional. At times, when she would need to give me feedback about my son's progress, she was very short. She'd state a few things, referrring to whatever was written on a piece of paper and then take off without making eye contact. I took my son there at age 11. We kept going there till he was about 14. He is high functioning Autistic (previously known as Asperger's). He had Occupational and Speech therapy. It really helped. However, when they changed Speech therapists, it all went downhill. It seemed that the new speech therapist did not know what she was doing. This was the one that cried twice. She had only been his therapist for 4 weeks. All of a sudden, they discharged him and said he had graduated!!! Really? He was no where near having the help he needed as a pre-teen. I spoke to them and in their weekly meeting they decided that to take away my son's support system right before he would become a freshman in high school would be a bad idea. Just as I had thought. I was happy. However, when I went back to meet with his speech therapist, she drilled me and made me feel like an idiot. She said "What, exactly is it that you are looking for us to do for your son?" REALLY? You are the FUCKING THERAPIST! I did not even know how to respond to that. I said, Well, he had problems socially, for example I'll ask him how his day was but he doesn't know to ask others how THEIRS was. She rolled her eyes! Really?!!! YOU are supposed to teach that!!! YOU should not have to ask ME what to teach my son. THAT"S YOUR JOB!!!! read more
