We attended monkey mouths for 3 years, we had a consistent weekly appointment and my sons speech did progress ( with the assistance of cochlear implants) we loved our therapist and accommodated our appointments during her pregnancies and vacations but we truly hated the management, they made our family feel like it was always a hassle with there scheduling to see him.: it felt more like an inconvenience for them to schedule him every week for services, when it was a referral from our doctor and necessary for his success .. Soooo! after year 3 .... things started to get messy... and kids thrive off organization, they just have poor management skills and the management doesn't have the tools to handle all the accommodations there therapists and customers need! The Staff is treated so poorly, and they have consistent scheduling issues, the staff has no control over there schedule and they're looking to fill slots on the scheduling sheet not so much the well being of your child..( read that again) & don't try and take a vacation because your child's appointment will never be rescheduled because they don't have availability ever! If your looking for therapy or audiology, they have great doctors but your child will probably Never see them After their 1st visit due to scheduling issues and, they pick who they want to see. My husband and I thoroughly looked into the early education options available in Denton, and we knew we wanted something different that a daycare. The methods of Montessori education are exactly what we believe to have allowed our children to flourish so well in their young ages. These methods are not what one will see in the typical preschool. There is a priority placed on independence and self-sufficiency. Children are allowed to improve in many skills and abilities. It goes above and beyond letters and numbers and sitting in a classroom quietly, but allows a safe environment for children to grow in their daily skills, gain confidence, sustain a natural love of learning, and develop a sincere belonging in community. Countryside Montessori School has always made this possible for our children, and we keep great peace of mind in knowing our children are safely cared for as they explore. Communication is frequent. There is transparency and connectivity for parents. They prioritize each student and the students as a whole. They truly are an extension of our family experience as opposed to something completely separate. It is incredible to see my children suddenly be able to take off their diapers and actually throw them away starting at 1.5 years of age. It is overwhelming to see my son accomplish tasks like cleaning his room, putting away his toys, helping with laundry, because he spills with pride in himself. My 1.5 year old daughter cleans up spills she makes and demonstrates sincere kindness to others. There is also little better than feigning ignorance and allowing my son to proudly show me where his locker is and how to put away his possessions on his own. When I drop off and pick up my son, I am able to witness him put away his possessions, go to a task that suits his interests, but also educates and challenges him. He doesn't need an adult to hold his hand through this process, though many are also readily available should he need help. My son can hold meaningful conversations with adults in ways I have yet to see from most children older than him in my time as a teacher. This school is different from other schools, and I love this about Countryside. This is the purpose of Montessori education. It is the reason my husband and I picked this school. This ownership and pride is the most invaluable thing Countryside Montessori offers to my children. Mrs. Fuess and the faculty here are always positively involved with the kids. I have personally witness a patience and attention with these children that I am amazed at knowing how challenging it can be to work with kids(as a parent I want to study their Jedi ways!). This school may not be what every parents wants. But for those looking for something that can support their children in these ways, they are an incredible resource and school. I know they have great ideas and possibilities for the future of the school as well which I look forward to!

We put our second child here (1 at the time) and from the first day we got an incident report that she had scraped her knee. We talked to them about what happened and we were told there was a lot of kids to keep up with and it was just an accident. We accepted that response and just thought that it happens and let it go. Throughout the past year and a half, we received consistent incident reports. However, the last 4 incidents involved my child getting bit. We addressed this with Hilary, as it seemed to be a regular occurrence. Her response was "it's a phase and it happens." We continued receiving these reports only to get the same response. Not a solution, but an excuse. Then, our child was moved into another classroom with only a 1 day notice. They told us that they sent an email (which would have been a 2 day notice) but we never received it. They told us that our child was being moved because it was time for them to be with kids their age or older and this would probably help with the biting incidents. Our child continued to get bit (the first and second day in the new class) received bruising. The last time a biting incident occurred, I asked to speak to Hilary, but she would not respond to us, so we asked to speak to the owner of the daycare. That same day, I went to pick my child up, obviously very frustrated at the situation. I went into the new classroom and asked the teacher if she could explain what led up to the biting incident, wondering if our child was instigating because we never fully received the story. Before I could really have a conversation with the teacher, another front office worker, Stephanie, came in and told me that she wanted to talk to me in the office about the incident. I expressed my frustration, but all I received was attitude and excuses. I demanded to speak to the owner at that point because I felt that I didn't get a solution. The next day I got a call from Linsey the "Area Manager" not the owner. We had about a 30 minute conversation and when I expressed my frustration with communication and the biting, she disregarded how I felt and assured me her team member (Hilary) was a great communicator even after I told her that had not been our experience. I told her that this was our notice and that we would be taking our child out of the daycare because it was too many incidents, which is alarming. I was still left feeling unheard and as If my child was just a number and payment to them at this point. We decide to pull our child out prematurely, that same day. My spouse sent a message letting them know our child would not be returning. We didn't get a response back. We messaged them on the app - still no response. A few days later we got a response saying "that's too bad she will be missed" *like I said prior, poor communication* We had to get advice from another Primrose location with how to proceed in order to get our child's stuff back. My spouse called the daycare, with the advice from the other Primrose location, to let them know that she was going to pick up the remainder of our child's items. *diapers , wipes , clothes ect. Stephanie answered and as soon as my spouse stated who she was, stephanie gave her attitude. When my spouse arrived at the daycare, she had to find a teacher because no one was at the front desk. We were given our child's things in a plastic trash bag. No one from the front office talked to my spouse or tried to justify the experience. To this day, Jessica the owner, hasn't reached out or even communicated with us. It's a true disappointment with this experience! They don't take accountability or try to work with you on a solution. They don't carry the same Primrose culture that we've experienced at another location. A simple solution that would have kept us would have been, we will watch the kids better or maybe try to keep the bitters separated. I wouldn't recommend trusting this daycare with your kids. It's an upsetting and disappointing experience that shouldn't have happened.

The CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES from the STATE OF TEXAS in Austin called me today and said that the investigation was complete. They said that the Director and the Teacher were fired and that Little Tykes was receiving 5 citations. The lady that took her did not have a car seat. We do not know where she went for those hours and no answers. You can not imagine what is going thru our minds. What I did learn is that they have no cameras at this day. If anyone chooses to place their child in Little Tyke Day care it will be your fault if something happens to them. I will do my best to inform every parent in Texas about the injustice that we experienced at Little Tyke Day Care. I will post the full report on every website in Texas and beyond. Little Tyke does not care about your child at all. This is the first of many reviews to come. I'll be honest...we first toured the facility and inquired about costs, we were a bit taken aback…read moreby the cost. Other facilities averaged about $175.00 less a month, which would pay other bills. However, as luck would have it, CL-Oak Point was the best choice based on availability and location. Three months in, we are THRILLED with our decision to enroll our child. There have been many noticeable improvements in terms of writing, math, and various other academic measures. Most importantly, he truly enjoys his time there, only being upset when I pick him up earlier than anticipated. An added bonus is that tuition includes breakfast, an AM snack, lunch, and a PM snack. That alone offsets $100.00 a month. One thing that I would like to point out for those that have concerns about children being left on busses is that due to the time I arrive for pick up, I often see the bus arrive to drop kids off. When it arrives, kids are accounted for more than once to assure no one is left behind. Finally, the school offers monthly "date nights" for parents. For less than the cost of most babysitters, you can have a few hours to yourself with your significant other, all while keeping the belly of your kiddo full!

And the empowerment and passion begins at the top and certainly reflects the whole way down. Our daughter has deeply missed school, friends, and routine since covid and a career change put us on a new track one year ago. After much thought and far too many lonnnnng days at home with an energetic and curious wanderer, we knew it was time to get her back on track and in the "game". We are so incredibly thankful to have found such an amazing school minutes from our home! I knew as soon as I walked through the front door that Children's Lighthouse was the best option for our baby girl and that she would be loved and cared for by the way the educators conducted themselves without knowing anyone was observing. These ladies love what they do and that love pours onto these kiddos. I am so thankful for Katie, Director, being there to lead the pack of dedicated and devoted educators in a way that spreads pure joy and energy through those halls! If I can't be there with our baby girl every day, I'm thankful she and her team are! I know my baby is in loving and wonderful hands every day! We are so excited this new adventure and can't wait to watch her continue to blossom!
