I was really nervous for this change, but the new doctors and staff made me feel so secure about the transition and are always so helpful when I have questions. I've never left the office with more questions than answers. While I will miss Dr. Lapsker, (she was my husbands pediatrician when he was a child) I know that there is a whole team that truly cares for every single child. I also love how small the practice is, and I feel like my children get the attention they deserve. There are sick and well child waiting rooms, as well as specific times of day that certain ages get scheduled, ie: newborns only in the morning to keep the amount of exposure to their new immune systems low. The small steps they take to ensure the safety, care and happiness of each and every patient and parent is above and beyond. And any parent knows that is SO important when looking for a good doctor.

So, I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Considering there are two locations and…read moremultiple receptionists, I don't think one of them should be the reason a person doesn't go here. After our beloved pediatrician moved away, we had to find another place (the ones left at her facility were awful and we tried the other "big" Peds in town and they were dreadful). We see Carolyn Koppel, and besides being incredibly kind and patient with me and my kids, she's also very good at what she does. We've seen Dr Lambert for several sick visits and his bedside manner isn't quite as down to earth but he's still kind enough, and he's very smart and good at what he does. He diagnosed my daughter with a rare GI issue as a baby (called FPIES) and I trust him as well as Caroline, and I trust no one. I can't speak for the other practitioners there though, as we've somehow managed to pretty much only see those two, but I've heard nothing but good things about them all from my fellow parent friends.

Dr. Shrivastiva is patient, kind, and extremely knowledgeable--he always takes the time to listen, explain, and make sure we feel comfortable with every step of care. The nurses and office staff are equally amazing: caring, professional, and so friendly that my kids actually look forward to their visits! Finding a pediatrician you can truly trust is rare, and we feel very lucky to have Dr. Shrivastiva guiding our children's health. I recommend this office wholeheartedly to any family looking for exceptional pediatric care.

Had such a good experience at this very recently opened pediatric urgent care center. They're…read morelocated in a corner office building that a sign on the building but not in the listing out front. Once you enter the building, the office is directly through the door and to the left. They have lots of parking and free wifi. Pro-tip, if you have the option, a pediatric-focused urgent care business is ALWAYS better than adult urgent care, particularly for stitches and radiology. Children are not small adults. And if you need urgent care in the area of Syracuse, this is a great option. Bonus, the Kinney pharmacy is 4 minutes away and you can pick up prescriptions and medical supplies easily. There are a few Kinneys, so make sure you know which one to use! Right off the bat, booking online is really convenient. But if you have to wait to be seen, it's clean and cozy in the waiting room, with a bubbler, a TV playing nature shows, and lots of activities for kids. I didn't wait long, but only one person was ahead of me. You can fill out all of the forms online and they mostly auto fill, which is helpful. The staff from front desk to the paramedic doing intake/vitals, to the NP were fantastic. Great bedside manner! All the equipment is top-notch, likely because they're new, and it's super clean. I appreciated that they offered those flavor ice popsicles and adorable popsicle holders you can take home to make the experience positive for the sick kiddos. They have an on-site PCR that provides highly reliable COVID and strep results in about 30 mins, as well as the usual rapids. Can't speak to experience with broken bones or lacerations at this site, but they are equipped for all of it and do have on-site radiology. While they're currently not able to bill insurance directly, that should change soon and they provide all the paperwork so you can submit the emergency claim to your insurance yourself - very classy! And if you're paying out of pocket, the baseline cost is $98 and testing costs more. All testing options were clearly communicated in advance and there was zero sense of upcharging or anything like that. It was fairly priced expert medical care in a clean facility. What more can you ask for??? Hours: 7 Days/Week Monday - Thursday 2PM-12AM Friday - Sunday 12PM-12AM

But they misinformed me that they could not use a local on my laceration because it was on my finger & the capillaries are too small. So with stitches off the table, I opted for glue. I found it odd that they didn't try to push the sides of the cut together. So as the glue wore off, I had a large open gash. I used steri-strips (left over from a previous surgery) to close the wound. Today at another dr appt, I asked my surgeon about using a local on fingers & he said that is ridicules & he noted that they absolutely should have stitched it. It is gonna be a bad scar. Luckily its just on my finger. Altho my first response to them was positive, as the wound heals, I'm seeing a bad outcome now.

I had been a patient of CNY Family Care for 13 years and they just dropped me claiming I had been…read more"consistently disruptive of staff" - which is simply not true. Let me tell it how it is - this place has too many patients and every Dr I have ever seen here needs sensitivity training and improvement on bedside manner. I was in a traumatic near-death accident in January 2024 and saw Dr. Malvasi as a follow up to being in the emergency room for hypothermia and he was honestly great and compassionate - but wanted me to see MY PCP Dr Clapper like a week later. I was bruised from head to toe still from my accident at that point, and I had questions about my lack of sensation in my legs, feet, arms and hands. I had to explain to the nurse what happened and what I was there for. In walks Dr Clapper - OMG WHAT HAPPENED? why wasn't she prepared? Why did I have to relive my trauma AGAIN when all of this should have been in notes reviewed before walking into the room. At this time, I requested to be moved to Dr. Malvasi's care because he had seemed so compassionate after my accident. My following experiences with Dr. Malvasi were less than ideal - I gained weight due to my depression and PTSD and when I saw him again he asked how I was doing and I said it had been a tough winter - HE LAUGHED and said I CAN SEE THAT BY HOW MUCH WEIGHT YOU GAINED! Real professional. Also, knowing that I had been in an abusive relationship and had difficulty with men - he thought it was also appropriate to make jokes every time I saw him asking if I was dating again yet. Not funny. The last two times I saw Dr Malvasi I requested a specific course of treatment. He said we could discuss that further in 3 months if I did xyz. I did xyz and went back at 3 months and was told CNYFC had new policy for this treatment and to do xyz and come back in 3 months. Right before my next 3 month appointment I received notification that CNYFC would no longer be working with the treatment at all - even though I had been doing what I was told for the last 6 months to receive this treatment. I sent a disgruntled response to the portal and the response I received was that I didn't know what I was talking about and "good luck finding a new pcp". So one time I disagreed with their practices and expressed it and they dropped me like it was nothing stating "consistently disruptive to staff". So a one time expression of dissatisfaction is "consistently disruptive"? Also Dr Malvasi asked at both 3 month follow ups if I was dating yet - still not funny. I really have found in life that when situations like this arise, comparable to being fired from a terrible employer, move on to bigger and better things. I'll find a dr office that doesn't turn people over like an assembly line and actually knows the appropriate way to communicate with patients. Btw I found a new primary care and had an appointment scheduled in less than a week. CNY family care thinks they can treat people like crap as if there are no other physicians around. Read the other reviews - my experience is not unique - and there are plenty of better offices to go to than this one.
