This is not a reflection on Doctor Prokop but the office administration. Good luck getting through to the office when you have a medical need/emergency. Need to sit through a battery of phone options before you can chat with a human. Also beware of less than ethical billing practices. Called 3x to get a billing error resolved. At the time of service I shared new billing information. Office sent statement to incorrect insurance provider and now expects out of pocket payment for their error. The office billing specialist was rude and accused me of not providing the incorrect information. Needless to say, looking for new provider. read more

Dr. Dory is the best pediatrician! She not only cares for my children, but for our entire family. She is kind, answers all of my questions, is prompt at our appointments, and provides ample time to discuss any concerns I may have. My kids are always excited to go to see Dr. Dory! In addition, the office is clean and fun, the staff is friendly, and they have a great communication system (a reminder text is even sent about an hour before the scheduled appointment). I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with this pediatric office! Dr. Clark was one of the very few pediatricians taking new patients when we moved to town and I am so glad we ended up with him! He and his staff are caring, funny (they put the kids at ease) and very informed. Before we switched to Nevada insurance, I had to take my son to a local urgent care site to look at his ear because we suspected he had an ear infection. When they took his blood pressure, they scared me by saying he has very high blood pressure and cannot take regular cold medications! When we finally were able to see Dr. Clark, his nurse told me immediately that my son's blood pressure could not be measured correctly using a normal cuff because he is so big/tall - he needs a special, longer cuff. When they took his blood pressure using this larger cuff, it measured as normal. I was just there with my son yesterday because I suspected another ear infection. Dr. Clark made time to see him, confirmed the diagnosis and gave us some more information about the widespread cases of Influenza A going around (which triggered my son's ear infection). He never rushes us and is so very patient. He will also take time to call if you have any questions. We highly recommend Dr. Clark! read more

The office is always clean and the staff kind, Our dr. is wonderful with our child, and understands from a parent stand point as well. The one thing that i absolutely despise with our child only being a small toddler is during vaccinations we are required to hold her still to the table and not allowed to hold them in our laps. This honestly really frustrates me and breaks me heart. We came from a different pediatrician from another city who let us hold our child during vaccinations from the moment we had them. The fact that we cannot do it here, really bothers me. My child has anxiety about being up on the table to even have their vitals checked. If i could change one thing, it would be that. read more

We've been taking Michael here. So far, so good. We've seen 4 of the 5 doctors here and most of the nursing staff and enjoy working with them to ensure our boy is healthy and happy. My guess is that they follow the guidelines of the American Academy of Pediatrics....because our primary pediatrician gave us a copy of "Your Baby's First Year" to read on our first visit. The facility is clean and centrally located in downtown Reno. There is plenty of free parking in the garage. We're looking forward to a long relationship with this office. read more

I have been taking my children to Dr. Zucker since they were born. That's been over 14 years! He is an excellent physician. Explains things, and even draw pictures on the tissue paper that covers the exam table. What I really like is that he is not quick to write scripts for antibiotics. I have taken my children in for colds/illnesses in the past and he examines them and gives some good over the counter recommendations for symptom relief and says if it is not better in 10-14 days call back. This is very good antibiotic stewardship and I appreciate it. I work in healthcare and I see many doctors just write prescriptions for antibiotics to appease the patient. There are too many resistant organisms these days to do that. The reason I gave four stars instead of five is because every time I go to the office, it is a very long wait. Yes, worth the wait, but still annoying at times. Parking at the office is a little challenging, I usually park in the parking garage across the street. The St. Marys parking garage. Office staff is friendly. When my children are sick, they do work me in right away. Fortunately, haven't had to do that too often! read more

I love this practice. We've been with Dr Prokop for 9 years and she is fantastic! We have also seen several other physicians when our kids were sick. They have all been great and we have always been able to see someone usually the same day or early the next morning depending when I call. Really exceptional with getting us in. Dr. Clark has been our Pediatrician since our kids were born. He is kind, knowledgeable, empathetic and always answers all of our questions. As a first time mom I had a lot of questions. Dr. Clark never made me feel stupid no matter how many questions I asked or how crazy they were. Dr. Clark even saw us one day just to make me feel better. I was worried about something, it turned out to be nothing ,but he happily chatted with me so I could feel better about my concerns. Now that the kids are older he speaks directly to them which I love and appreciate. I still never hesitate to call with questions about my kids health and well being. I feel very lucky to have found such a good human to to be our kids pediatrician!!! Plus he has the patience of a saint. :) read more

14 yrs with this office and we were discarded like trash!!! We have taken our 3 girls here since birth my 1st one being born in 2009 to my now baby being born in 2023. Dr. Tatum and Dr Dory are wonderful, but the support staff in that office are terrible and unfortunately your support staff is a reflection of the office as a whole. Bailey from billing and Lisa the supposed office manager are disgusting humans that lack the human compassion piece. They are both passive aggressive, disrespectful, unhelpful people. Lisa shame on you for not picking up the phone to try to resolve our concerns, also thank you for your scaling email, and thank you for taking upon yourself to cancel our 4month old's appointment being 2 weeks away. They stopped taking our insurance without letting us know but still let us schedule several appointments afterwards. After spending what seemed like years on the phone with our insurance and the extremely rude woman who works for their billing office we finally figured it out. They were unwilling to work with us on the bill and we ended up paying full price for everything. read more

Dr. Zucker has been my kids pediatrician when I was only pregnant! My co worker suggested him and my OBGYN. He is awesome! Old school and tells you straight. Doesn't beat around the bush. He always calls you back, which is so amazing to me. I have an issue with my kid and he calls back and explains in detail his opinion or what I should do. He even called me at work when my nanny was concerned about my daughter. When I was in the hospital with my first daughter he came and made sure she was doing well, and with my twins he was on vacation so Dr. Altoff stepped in for him and he was awesome as well. He performed the you know what to my son and it was perfect. Hahaha. Very nice man, he is! So when Zucker retires I will probably start seeing Altoff. It seems that the whole office just has that same way with people. The gals in the back helped my husband and I tremendously when my twins were drinking formula. They gave us sooo much free formula it was amazing. I can't believe how much formula they gave us. It was a life saver. If anyone knows how pricey formula can be you can understand. Love this office I would highly recommend seeing any of the doctors in this office! read more

I guess just hope that their billing department is competent or you will be held responsible. They were supposed to collect my insurance info. at the hospital when my baby was born and they didn't, so now I am being charged a $25 "administration fee". I was never informed of this policy that day and would never have agreed to it, especially since it's a fact that roughly 80% of medical bills include errors. This was for the check up the doctor does on your baby before you are discharged at the hospital after delivering a baby. The only time anyone had asked for my insurance info. was at the check-in at Renowned labor & delivery department. I'm calling Monday to see if they will waive the fee. read more
