She is very thorough and so great with my daughter. She made her feel comfortable and talked to her in a very personal and almost grown up way. She has made great recommendations to us for everything from an eye doctor to swim lessons which was great being we were relatively new to the city when we found her. Her staff is also great. It's a small practice which I appreciate having come from a larger one with 10+ pediatricians. We've been able to form a close relationship with her and her staff. Even though it's a small office, their availability and super short wait times are really great compared to say a larger practice which always seem to be completely booked and very busy. I can't say enough great things about her! I think some parents in this city prefer the larger name brand offices (Texas Children's, Memorial Hermann, etc.) being that they seemingly have all the bells and whistles (I.e., more resources, newer offices, more doctors, things like that). It all comes down to what you're looking for and what you value most.

I saw Dr Dwiek for my original consultation and he listened to all of my concerns and validated my symptoms. I was starting to feel crazy, but it turns out something is wrong with my sleep. We did one phone consult and thereafter had an in person appointment scheduled, the provider then canceled on us last minute and we have since then been unable to schedule anything because the front desk tells us they will have to call us back every single time we call. Not sure how your front desk staff can't even book an appointment? All that money paid and we have never even been seen. I requested a refund via email and no one responded! We were not asking for much & if you go there be prepared to pay for your own lab work even if have great insurance. Their office entrance is different from the other business, though. Right when I walked in, I was greeted by a rude receptionist (I can't remember her name). She was very short with me, and was unhappy when I didn't completely fill out all my new patient paperwork. I told her that I filled out the form that they sent me via e-mail, and that their office did not tell me to fill out any additional paperwork before coming in. Regardless, she still made it seem like it was my fault. Anyway, when I finally met my PCP, Dr. Luu, it was a complete 180. She was super nice and understanding. She also explained all the tests that I would be having and why I needed them. She also told me what diagnostic/lab tests that I was up to date with, and those I had to schedule an appointment with her for soon. I really like this doctor. So the moral of the story is: 5 Stars for Dr. Luu 2 Stars for the rude receptionist = 3 Stars Overall Hopefully, they fix her rude behavior. I really want to keep coming here.

I had an overnight and following day study done here. I got an appointment here way quicker than…read moreany other sleep clinic I was trying to get into. It seemed nice and they were so helpful in the scheduling and insurance stuff. Night of study I show up and it's a comfortable looking room with a private bath. One of the techs didn't show up so one tech was having to run around and put everyone's wires on by himself. He was super friendly though and made me feel comfortable. I did notice at this point that I could hear everyone around me - super thin walls. I slept a bit and then I woke up to this god awful screaming of a child playing outside the room and getting in trouble. I kept trying to go back to sleep only to fall asleep and be woken up yet again by the screaming child. I swear this went on for an hour or more and I was about to scream myself for continuing to be woken up during a sleep study I was paying a lot of money for. My daytime study went well. I didn't think I would have complaints there.... UNTIL I took my sleep study to my doctor for them to tell me that the study was done wrong and was INVALID. Now, I have been told this by two doctors that I've had to use this study with. I will eventually have to be retested and it makes me angry that I had to pay for a study that was practically deemed useless in the end for it not being performed or analyzed correctly.

I went for part 2 last Thursday and called them at 1:00 pm to let them know that I had a doctor's appt on Feb 3rd. Corrine said, "it will be no problem, b/c I will send the study stat, and the doctor will have it by the weekend". I went to my doctor that reads the study and waited over an hour for Dr Verma. The receptionist stated, "We still have not received the sleep study test from last week". "We have contacted North Sleep Center and still haven't heard back". Oh my GOD...can it get any worse! YES. Not only did I have to move my schedule around to be at Dr. Verma's office, pay parking, and wait for over an hour for North Sleep Center to send a report, which they NEVER did. The Sleep Center SHOULD and COULD have called Dr. Verma and me to say they will not be able to get the report by Monday and to reschedule my appointment. I was furious!! I called the Sleep Center and expressed by anger to Corrine who told me "they had technical difficulty over the weekend" and could not get the report sent over!! Y'ALL SCREWED up on part 1 of the study, and also on Part 2 of the study. There is NO COMMUNICATION between Corrine and all of the staff, no matter what she tells you! She will only tell you what you want to hear. It's all LIES. Oh, and to top it off, Corrine told me the cost would be $800 and they would break that into payments. When I arrived for part 2, the tech said it would be $800. When I told the tech that Corrine said it would be broken into payments, she was totally unaware of this. When I completed part 2 and went to check out, Corrine said it would be $850. Again, NO COMMUNICATION and LIES. DO NOT EVERY GO TO THIS SLEEP CENTER. I HOPE ALL DOCTORS will read this and send their patients to other reliable sleep centers!!

She actually spends time in the exam room to address all concerns and ensure everything is going well with your child's health and development. She also is very generous with samples :) My oldest's son is significantly underweight. Dr. Assef talked with me for quite some time on offering suggestions to improving his weight/nutrition and coming up with a plan. She will give recommendations for any specialties needed, and she follows up. I've had her call on weekends and evenings to make sure the kids were okay. I really appreciate that level of concern as well as knowing she is there for our family when I need her.

Sadly we had to move out of state but anytime we're going back to town, i definitely will be going back to her, if the occasion should arise.
