Where to begin...well, I had been dealing with serious allergy issues this year (and have been for…read moremany many years), and decided to move forward attempting to correct allergy issues along with a deviated septum (had that for as long as I could remember). When I first visited Dr. K and his team in their Houston office, I immediately knew they were going to be a superstar team. Everyone in the office is kind, knowledgeable, and professional and they are just flat out great people! Dr. K first saw me back in March, and suggested that we start treating my severe allergies prior to tackling my deviated septum and other nose issues. I went through the allergy testing and learned I was allergic to EVERYTHING! haha but the team formulated my perfect blend of allergy drops and then I began feeling better and better as time went on. Sublingual Immunotherapy has clearly helped reduce my allergy symptoms to near zero and I feel GREAT now. Secondly, after getting my allergies in check, Dr. K felt that it was time to fix my nose issues. This required a turbinate reduction, balloon sinuplasty, and correction of my severely deviated septum. I decided to go under general anesthesia to complete the whole procedure and I can safely say, that it was 100% effective. I cannot remember the last time I breathed so freely. The surgery was definitely one of the best decisions of my life, and I sleep so much better at night with no snoring and fewer sleep disturbances at night (my partner loves this haha). I had heard horror stories about how the post op phase post nasal surgery could be extremely uncomfortable, yet that's the best part about Dr. K's recommendations. THERE WAS NO NASAL PACKING! I can honestly say that there was extremely minimal discomfort post surgery, and that I felt right back to normal in about 5 days. To be honest, only on days 3-4 post surgery did I feel any fatigue/minor discomfort. But the best part was the feeling of being able to breathe because there was no nasal packing. Overall, my experience with Dr. K and the Texas Sinus, Allergy, Snoring and Sleep Institute has been the BEST. I can safely say that they have been able to change my life for the best, and I would highly recommend their services to anyone in the Houston/Woodlands area!

Here is my experience: 1) Unprofessional. Never even talked to the actual Neurologist, only his NP. 2) Was told my son had absence seizures off first EEG. They recommend Topamax for my son. We had to go do a 14 hr EEG and sleep study just for them to tell me everything came back normal AFTER they tried to put my son on neurological medication after the first EEG. 3) NP never could answer my questions with ANY ACTUAL information, answers were always very simple and could be found in a google search. Came to meetings very unprepared and ALWAYS late. 4) The billing is horrible. They overcharged my insurance and myself multiple times. When I called to get more detail about EOB, the biller didnt seem well educated on what they actually were billing me or my insurance. 5) NO COMMUNICATION. Noone prepared us for the overnight EEG, which by the way is conducted in the most run down, disgusting "Motel 6" type facility. 6) No patient bedside manner. My son is 5 yrs old and you tell me he is having seizures, then tell me everything is normal. The emotional toll this whole process has been for me, my husband, and my son has been intense. I feel like after 3 months, 7 dr appts, I have less answers and more questions than I started with. NP made me feel like she was always in a hurry and unprepared for our meetings. 7) All together my son had 2 in office evals, 2 EEGs (1 hr and a 14 hr overnight), genetic testing, and multiple survey/tests and the end result is he is normal. Sounds and feels like a money grab to me. They charge you for documentation about your child's milestones that YOU fill out. Not only did I have to pay a copay for them to email me the documents (an office visit co-pay), but then you have to pay for them to review. You also have to pay for EVERY time you talk to the doctor. I paid for the EEG, but you then have to pay to get the results. We were recommended by two people to see Dr. Rotenberg so we gave this place a chance, the problem is you NEVER talk or see Dr. Rotenberg. I honestly feel like this was all a money grab. I literally HAVE NO NEW insight on my child at all. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND. THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE AND I ABSOLUTELY FEEL BAMBOOZLED.

As someone who has a serious sleep disorder myself that wasn't diagnosed until middle age, I know just how important their mission is to their patients respective futures. My son has a number of potential contributing factors, including some more rare ones, and the NP Amanda was very well educated about all of them. The sleep clinic itself was a perfect environment for a sleep study unlike some of the other local sleep clinics. My son and I have some severe environmental allergies to mold and other things, and I have some chemical sensitivities. The office and bedroom where the sleep studies are conducted in Houston were absolutely spotless, and there is no odor that I could detect in the office at all. The sleep technologist, Dmitri, looks younger than he must be with his 26 years of experience, and he was SOOO patient with my son, who really didn't like any of the wires. Dmitri couldn't have made the sleep study any easier for us. I have confidence that with the help of the experts at Pediatric Sleep Specialists of Houston, my son will begin to experience more restorative sleep over time. They do get booked up pretty far in advance, but I also know they have cancellations and will attempt to work people in for a quicker sleep study if needed, so don't let that discourage you from choosing them. I think this has to be the number one sleep clinic and sleep specialist for children in Houston, and I haven't even spoken to the main practitioner, Dr. Kothari, yet. I come from a background in medical sales and have seen numerous medical practices over the years, and this one really is doing everything right! When I finally realized I needed help, I reached out to Caroline. From the first call, I realized she was knowledgable and patient.
