So 2024 started out the year with a bunch of craziness. I was diagnosed with not one but two rare…read morebreast cancers and found out that was so invasive had to do two surgeries and start a regimen of treatments (chemo, immunotherapy, etc.). Low and below, I also ended up with cording in my primary right arm as part of the process. Everything I read online about cording is bad and you need to get started right away on therapy to help address before you get a frozen shoulder and arm. My doctors referred me to a place who could not get me in to help work on my cording/lymphedema for over 6 weeks. Not acceptable! I looked up registered therapist who work with this very special issue. After doing research I found that there are only a couple in all of San Antonio and the surrounding area and Alante happened to have several. Not only did they take my call after hours on a Friday night, but hearing what I was going through, scheduled me in for first thing the following week fitting me into their already busy schedule because they did not want me to suffer. Cate (owner and lead therapist) is superwoman! She is fantastic to work with, super sweet and caring, always takes care of me and ensures that I am doing well and like the energizer bunny...just keeps going and going. Cate and her team are a lifesaver. I could not do this life's journey without all of their help and the outstanding therapy that they have blessed me with. I Would Not Go Anywhere Else!!!

Kate Obermiller specializes in lymphedema therapy and she has been a Godsend to my wife. Kate was able to get my wife's swelling under control almost to the point where you wouldn't even notice there was swelling. Not long ago my wife fell and broke her shoulder and that's when we met the other half of Alante Physical Therapy, Molly Fick. Molly worked with my wife to get her arm functioning again after the break healed. Unfortunately, it was the arm with the lymphedema so Kate and Molly worked together to get my wife back to normal. Bonnie who works the front office makes this possible by scheduling Molly to work on my wife's shoulder and then immediately after that she sees Kate to work on my wife's lymphedema. I can't say enough about how these three women take care of the woman I love. You're more than just a patient with them, and my wife couldn't be in better hands.

Well, I'm going to be honest: usually, I'm not one to write reviews. However, after five weeks (and…read morecounting) of superb, compassionate care, I simply must let the inter-web know about Christian and the folks at Foundation Physical Therapy! Long story short, I viciously fractured my left femur while saving orphan children and various at-risk youth from a burning building in June 2014. After surgeons successfully placed a titanium rod through the injured bone, I was referred to Mr. Compean and Foundation Physical Therapy. Having broken the strongest and "most difficult bone to break" in the human body, my expectations were bleak and unpromising to say the least. My experience began with Tracy, the office manager, on my first day. With the phones incessantly ringing and patients waiting to be checked-in, she stopped what she was doing and happily rushed to the door to help me as I pitifully crutched in. Instantly, I knew I was in the right place. Christian, co-owner and Physical Therapist extraordinaire, is the best thing to happen to my leg since the calf-machine at the gym in eighth grade - he is PHENOMENAL. He actually takes the time to get to know you and genuinely wants you to get better! Unsurprisingly, it reflects in his care. After just four weeks, I went from stepping like a newborn fawn on wintry ice to walking almost 100% pain-free! What caught me off-guard was with what ease and accuracy Christian was able to diagnose the origin of individual nagging pains I experienced in my recovery and how well he educated me on how to prevent them from happening again. The provider is extremely "textbook smart" and has great hands, my friends! I have no doubt that when I'm completely finished with my treatment with Christian, I'll actually be stronger and faster than I was pre-injury. If you're looking for a place that exemplifies thorough and complete care, while at the same time makes you feel like actual family as opposed to "just another insurance reimbursement check," I absolutely recommend you visit Tracy, Christian and the gang at Foundation Physical Therapy!

Prior to shadowing him, I had heard that he was a brilliant doctor but it really wasn't until I started shadowing him that I got to know just how good he really is. This man oozes professionalism. His demeanor when dealing with customers is very welcoming, patient and comforting. I know that patients coming to see a doctor want to be treated with importance and be confident that they are really getting the best care. That is the feeling I got when I saw his patients interacting with him. I've seen him correct the mistakes other surgeons have made with his patients. I've seen him go head first and without hesitation clean the feet of an elder gentleman with advanced diabetes when he could have had one of his nurses do it for him. In the past, I have come across and heard of many doctors who look dissatisfied with their job and desensitized to the plight of their patients but Dr. Sayeed restored my faith in doctors and replenished my desire to enter the medical field. This man very clearly loves his job and he gave me the perfect example of how I need to deal with my patients once I start taking them. As dramatic as this sounds, I'm writing this now after just thinking about how my experience by his side has changed my views and life for the better. If you don't have him as your orthopedic surgeon, you are doing yourself a disservice.

He is professional yet warm and explains things in a way that anyone can understand. He also shows you the X-rays and MRI's and explains to you what you are seeing and then discusses options with you. The surgeries were not without hiccups, they never are, but there was never any doubt in my mind that the outcome would be less than discussed. Dr Sayeed did not know until my first surgery that I was a retired nurse, it made no difference. I wish other doctors and their staff could take a page from his office standards and understand that it's not just the clinical part that needs to be excellent but the people interaction also makes a big difference in the healing process. I do not hesitate to refer people to Dr. Sayeed and have on several occasions (including my son). He is an excellent surgeon, doctor and person. I hope this information helps you.

Transformative Recovery at Catalyst Physical Therapy - Highly Recommended!…read moreI had been unable to walk or bear weight on my right leg for two full years, with my muscles atrophied to the point where I relied on a walker for mobility. My first experience with another physical therapy group lasted 8.5 months, but their mundane exercises lacked focus on rehabilitating my hip, leaving me no closer to independence--I was still dependent on the walker. Switching to Catalyst Physical Therapy was a game-changer. In just 10 weeks, I've made incredible progress and am on the verge of ditching the walker in favor of a cane. This milestone feels monumental! I have nothing but praise for the therapists at Catalyst. Walking into the waiting room, you'll often hear unsolicited endorsements from other patients--about half the time, someone will chime in, declaring it the best physical therapy they've ever experienced, with results far superior to anywhere else. What sets Catalyst apart is Jorge Guerrero's leadership in selecting and overseeing a team of exceptional therapists who truly understand injuries, the human body, and the precise rehabilitation needed. Their treatments are targeted, goal-oriented, and designed to restore normal function by addressing the specific areas requiring attention. Based on my transformative journey, there's no other physical therapy practice I'd trust or recommend more highly. I give Catalyst Physical Therapy the highest possible rating--5 stars all the way! If you're seeking real results, this is the place to go.

But I worked for a rehab therapy agency for 11 years and saw how much good comes when patients are treated by A+ therapists. In May 2021 I fell in the shower and tore my rotator cuff after already struggling with frozen shoulder; I needed pain relief and rehab STAT. I was evaluated and treated by Michael Landin, PT, and depended on him for pain relief for two years. After shoulder rehab ended, my whole body needed a lot of attention, but no matter what we tried I wasn't really improving. When Mike left in April of 2023, I transferred to Jorge, because I had watched him for two years and knew he was the best PT I had ever seen, and, well, only the best for this princess! TBH, I was so loyal to Mike that it took me some time to trust Jorge completely but letting him treat me was definitely the right decision. Jorge works hard to figure out my weird body, and I am extremely grateful for his sharp skills and superior knowledge. He has helped me make so much progress and I can finally feel and see the difference in my body. I now trust him implicitly and credit him with helping me more than any health care practitioner ever has. I seek to surround myself with people who inspire me and Jorge does so without fail WHILE helping me heal and figure out my body's quirks. I usually leave feeling like I learned something and can grow into a healthier version of me. Obviously, I am a believer and could proselytize all day, but the bottom line is you should consider this place if you need PT, you WILL NOT be sorry!
