An x-ray was done, they recommended me to be viewed by a perodontist [gum doctor] after seeing one he told me I had 1 toothe severe gum loss. I needed procedure. I dropped a $500 dollar deposit. Money aint the issue. I called the insurance to see if I was bamboozled by outta pocket expense because I had ​just got ripped off from prior colonoscopy surgery, I wanted to ensure that these cartoons wasn't trying to.do the same. After calling the insurance company they they told me that im on a hold until July before I can do any surgery but cleanings and other minor procedures were OK. If i were to proceed on surgeries like the one suggested i would have to pay the full amount out of pocket. So i went back ​to Great expressions told them my situation, asked kindly since the insurance werent covering for the full procedure until July can I get a regular deep clean in which would be covered by the insurance company, they told me NO! Im like why is that so? I cant get a regular cleaning, the lady at the front desk told me that I would have to get the procedure done first! What a complete Scam never heard of such thing. So I decided to call it a quits. Im refraining doing business with these scam artist!!!! I found another facility and advised them of my situation in which they told me that was absurd!!!!!!!! They'll rip you and the insurance off fir your money! Dont fall victim, get with your insurance first if you dont fully understand your coverage and even if you do, because these people will try to lecture false news on you just for you to fall victim of the scamming program that they have in place! I still dont understand, why was i denied a cleaning if it was covered by my insurance company, was it because I couldn't proceed on doing the surgery??? Im still waiting for my refund which takes forever but are quick to withdraw from your account!!! Great expressions, i have nothing great to say about youll.

If you don't keep up with what you are being billed you could overpay. Their billing practices are not easy for the consumer to understand, especially your credits because they are not forth coming with that information. You will pay more and it is painstaking to resolve the issue. You occasionally can/will be over charged and if you use FSA once your FSA company realizes your service was overcharged they will suspend your FSA card until you pay it back. And you have to spend hours on the phone contacting FSA to even find out why your card was suspended. Great Expressions does not disclose to you that you have a credit. This has personally happened to me. What a hassle. And again, I will continue to go to this facility because I love the my team, Dr Tessa Scott and Lorraine my hygienist are caring and patient. Appointments are a bit confusing so you must stay on top of that because they will change the times as they feel necessary.

Thus, there isn't anything a dentist can tell me that I haven't already heard. That being said, it's really hard for me to find a dentist I like. Queue, The Bite Dental. Being that it is 2018, I found them on Instagram. I liked the decor, the attitude, etc., so I called and made an appointment. They emailed me the paperwork to fill out beforehand and send back. Great. I actually appreciate this, because who wants to sit around and fill out paperwork at 9:00AM? I met with Dr. E, the general dentist. Very sweet woman, but knows when to be serious. She recommended treatments for me, and gave me advice. Never tried to upsell me any treatment she didn't deem necessary. Susan their dental hygienist is an angel. Extremely charismatic and knows her stuff. I've gone to hygienist who recommend deep cleanings and full mouth debridement that weren't needed. My only qualm is their hours. They're open M-F from 9:00AM-5:00PM which makes it difficult for corporate employees to get appointments. Hopefully they'll open up Saturdays in the near future to cater to that crowd. But if you're in the market for a new dentist, who knows the latest technologies and is honest. The dentists at The Bite Dental are the dentists for you!
