Asada tacos, carnitas burrito, Cali fries
    Mimi N.

Tacos, burrito, and Cali fries is what I had ordered. Food was delicious. Only disappointment is the size offering for the Cali fries... it was a pretty small portion compared to Cali fries I had in Cali. Small, clean shop. Was greeted by a fella running the register. We had a little miscommunication when ordering but he was able to assist in correcting my order quickly. I'm a happy camper! Definitely recommend this place.

Shredded chicken stuffed crispy corn flautas. A perfect light lunch.

We hadn't visited for awhile, so decided to grab a quick lunch at Pedro's. There was no one else in the restaurant. I have never seen black marks on tortilla chips, but there were plenty in this batch. I gave them some credit in the past for making their own chips, but this time it was not a success - over fried and oil soaked. My usual order of chicken flautas fell flat. The shredded chicken was bland and quite chewy. Tomatoes were non existent. The biggest serving on my plate was shredded iceberg lettuce. It was abundantly clear that there was absolutely no care in the making or the plating of this dish. Our request for guacamole was met with a sorry, and then a reply that they were "sold out". Really? My husband was also disappointed in his tacos. Once again, a restaurant in Beaufort/Port Royal showed its inability to maintain a consistent and reliable level of quality and execution. I do enjoy Mexican food. Why Beaufort has so so many Latino eateries is mind boggling. Many, unfortunately, are just a a boring repeat of the same old Tex-Mex offerings. Residents here crave more international cuisine besides nachos, tacos and enchiladas. Sorry Pedro's, we won't be back.

    Pizza Birria, consume, salsa

A terrific addition! Wow! Food was delicious. On this visit we shared the Pizza Birria. It is amazing! Enough for two. Wow. We also ordered chips + salsa to snack while we waited. Not necessary for the wait but really good and we didn't leave any. :-) The quesabirria is wonderful. You will not be disappointed. When they ask if you'd like the consume, say yes. My husband snuck over without me (!) once and had taco. He is picky and wholeheartedly agrees Pedro's is on THE List. In addition the folks are super, VERY clean and neat place. We will return!

To expensive with all the add on pricing. 50 cents here and 50 cents there. Just wanted 3 tacos, should not be over 18.00.

My mom said her oysters were really good & I did try the okra and it was delicious. My brisket was good, very juicy, tender & tasty. My red rice was some of the best I've EVER had as well as the cabbage. Another reviewer said the cabbage was overcooked and that's his opinion but in my opinion that's how southern cooked cabbage should be. I tried my mom's mac & cheese and that was also some of the best I've ever had. The next day I went back to get a to go order to take home to Summerville for my family. I ordered the brisket, ribs, red rice, mac & cheese, cabbage & coleslaw. Unfortunately my coleslaw wasn't in the bag when I got home. Their ribs are really good too, the only thing that I didn't like is that the silver skin was left on. Most places I get ribs from the silver skin is removed. All of the sides were delicious! I actually like their sides more than the bbq. Bbq is good but the sides are delicious!!

I ordered the brisket platter with double maccaroni and cheese, my wife ordered the brisket sandwich with fries and fried okra, and we shared an order of smoked wings with spicy BBQ sauce. If God himself was sitting next to us, he would be picking his fingers in jubilation, that's how delicious everything was. The brisket was tender but seasoned so good. The toast that came with the brisket was the chefs kiss, which had me make a sandwich with the BBQ and Carolina BBQ sauce provided at the table. A sweet tea provided us with the much needed Southern hydration to cleanse the palate. It has been long overdue that i had this much enjoyment in BBQ, and this mighty awesome 9f a place will get frequented by me and mine.

10-26-24 2pm Saturday…read more We came here after looking for an ice cream shop in the area. We needed to get the taste out of our mouths of the worst lunch ever. That bad experience lead us to the best ice cream shop I have been to in South Carolina since we moved here six months ago. Yelp lead us to this shopping center. After we parked and went inside I was totally won over by the fact they make small batch ice cream. Limited flavors and smaller containers in the freezer glass case. In fact the containers were closed. Good keep it fresher for the guests that are buying it. I chose a small pistachio cup that was the perfect size. Hubby got a medium coffee chip ice cream. So once I finished mine I made my way over to his. OMG the intense flavor was amazing. Definitely will be back again many times in the near future. The service was terrific and we tipped accordingly. The shop was cute plenty of seating for lots of people. Prices were in line for the quality of he products that are served.

There were other people there, and the indoor setting was a nice place to sit. While the menu board promised many non-dairy desserts, those were completely wiped out on my visit, leaving only traditional ice cream, which was okay for me but not for everyone, and makes me wonder what's going on there. The ice cream I ordered was an Andes Mint flavor that tingled on the tongue and a sea salt caramel flavor (sea salt seemed like an apt selection given the surrounding salt marshes) that delivered a fully engaging contrast in tastes. The price was not bad either considering. I certainly didn't mind stopping here for ice cream, though no one is casually walking in here from the historic part of Beaufort.

After reading the menu we were excited to stop in and try a monthly special. We also picked up a couple gift items for family. I spent more than I should have after seeing firsthand how rude the cashier was. It was obvious she was more than bothered by our presence in there. I held out hope that the barista would make up for her rudeness but I was sadly mistaken. He handed us our drinks and numbly told us to stir it with a straw. I definitely regret stopping in. It's a shame, they have a super cute shop that looks like it has the potential to be a charming low country spot. Instead, it's a very unwelcoming, overpriced regrettable experience. The food probably would have been tasty, had the experience not been so sour. It's the lack of appreciation from employees at small businesses like this that drive me to seek out the bigger chain coffee stores where they at least act like they appreciate my hard earned dollar.

The atmosphere inside was pleasant, and they had a patio outside with tables where we could sit with our pups. The woman who helped us was knowledgable and pleasant. In addition to two quiches, we got a bottle of cider to go. I'd describe the quiches as disappointing - with no crust and of middling quality. The cider was fine, but not special - wouldn't make a special trip for it. It seems that most of the business there was for coffee, sometimes with a pastry -- and the pastries did look good, I wish I'd had one rather than the quiche I got.
