The entire process took about a month due to rainy weather. My entire yard was trashed for that month. His workers were messy and used my flower pots as a trash, my outdoor furniture wasn't moved aside for projects and was covered with dust and dirt. They left their lunch in opened trash bags for my dogs to discover. My side trees were cut down 6ft without consultation and some of the cuts were not clean, but ripped off. I was constantly picking up screws, nails, paint chips and somehow they got paint in the dogs water bowl. Sloppy work, they dripped white paint on a black rug, and got paint on my back windows. They removed a piece of outside wood exposing the attic and did not cover it up until days later, after I had to notice it and call Bob. I'm not sure if this was a new crew or what, but there was no "care" taken in their work. I constantly had to call Bob for these problems, which was pretty lame because that was why I was paying him. Overall the repairs I needed done were done but I will not use this company for future house projects.

Unfinished Work, Poor Craftsmanship, and a False Lien Threat…read more I hired Ybarra Professional Builders to complete work in my home, including renovating the upstairs bathroom. While the project was technically completed, the quality was completely unacceptable. The bathroom sink leaks, and the grout in both the shower and floor is already coming up. I brought in licensed professionals to inspect the issues, and they confirmed the floor was improperly installed and the sink was not installed correctly either. Despite these clear defects, the company has refused to return and fix the problems. To make matters worse, I just received a Notice of Intent to File a Mechanic's Lien claiming I owe them $16,016.00--which is outrageous and completely false. They included charges for services they never performed, such as: Cabinet resurfacing (they did nothing to my kitchen cabinets) Interior painting (they partially painted my living room, which I already paid for--and even that was incomplete) I've kept all of my receipts and documented what was paid. I paid for the bathroom remodel, but it was done poorly and without accountability. There is absolutely no way they did $16,000 worth of work in my home. This feels like a scare tactic to get paid for work they didn't do or didn't do correctly. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They do not stand behind their work, and now I'm dealing with legal threats for charges that are clearly inflated and inaccurate. If you're considering using them--think twice and document everything. This experience has been stressful, costly, and incredibly disappointing.

I worked with Jesse and his team to finish a commercial remodeling project that another contractor…read morehad done a good job on, but abandoned the project at about 95% done. I paid Jesse $15k to finish this job, and he was aware of each element of the project including trim work, painting, and fixing the floors that were not glued down properly. We started the project well, and the work done on the crown molding looked good. They touched up some drywall texture and it looked really rough in certain areas, and was much heavier than the existing texture. It seemed the guys didn't really know what they were doing with texture. He did fix it somewhat, although there are still areas where you can visibly see it does not match. Also some of the doors/trim that were painted were done quickly with a very heavy textured brush, and should have been done with a light roller to match the others. But for the most part they fixed things we pointed out and they looked better by the end. Where the issues really came in was at the end. Jesse told us to blue tape everything that needed to be redone and we did. They then came and "fixed" it and removed the tape, however we noticed many of the things we taped looked the same and the tape had just been removed. We did that three or four times and there was still things that they were just removing tape on. I then walked it with him and he said he was going to fix the things I pointed out, including flooring that still needed to be glued back down. He then sent guys over and they didn't do any of the things we discussed. He told me to blue tape it AGAIN, and I said no that they are just removing the tape and not doing the work, but if he sends guys we will show them what to fix. Fast forward a few months, and the last few things we had taped were never fixed, floor tiles are still bubbling up that he was supposed to fix, and he says because he did "extra work" that he is no longer responsible to finish the actual job he contractually agreed to. (The "extra work" he referred to was putting in drywall ceiling instead of drop ceiling in a room addition. We had never discussed or agreed to a drop ceiling so I was going to cancel the job, but he agreed to switch it to keep the job.) I tried to come to an agreement with him and potentially give him more work if he finished the previous job. However he didn't even show up when he said he would to quote me on it, so at this point I'm just going to find a new contractor. A wainscoting in the dining room, a accent wall in the master bedroom and a total transformation of the look around our sealed propane fired fireplace. Taking it from a 20 year old look (large beige ceramic tiles) to the Austin Stone and a flat limestone appearance on the floor level hearth. Estimate was reasonable and we scheduled it for a few weeks later. When they arrived to do the work and began to prepare the house for the work, I had concerns. Not that they were doing a bad job - rather that they sealed off and protected stuff more than 10ft from the surface they were working on. So .. I thought - wow - I sure hope they can control the process better than that. Well they did control it well and they were just being cautious of my house/belongings. I fully appreciated it when they finished the process and they were out of there quickly. They spent one day prepping and came the next day to spray and carve. Amazing process and GREAT folks. I am very impressed, as is EVERYONE I show the before and after photographs to. For a reasonable cost, they likely added back to the resale of the house 2x or 3x the cost. Of course, since I never plan to move ... that doesn't matter to much to me. But the house looks GREAT. These guys rock. Alfredo is the estimator and works with the crew as well (as needed I'm sure), he is very personable and he "talked the talk and walked the walk". Would recommend these folks to anyone.

When it comes to ProCal Stone, our best advice is: BUYER BEWARE. In September 2018, we contracted…read morewith ProCal Stone to install a limestone overlay on our brick fireplace. Alfredo, one of the owners, did a great job selling the solution and due to a cancellation by another customer offered us a discounted price to do the work. Alfredo is very good at what he does both as a salesman and as a contractor. Unfortunately, what became painfully obvious to us throughout our dealings with ProCal Stone was that unless Alfredo was personally involved, the work was not done properly. What also became apparent was that since we were a relatively small customer (~$2,500), Alfredo could not be bothered with us once we got past the initial installation. Their "warranty service" was a joke. I've never before had a vendor ask me to "pay my guys a little something" on warranty work to correct things that their company did incorrectly! The fireplace initially looked pretty good but there were some issues with the color, which were ultimately corrected after about three visits and with the sealer, which to this day has not been adequately addressed. In fact, ProCal's last attempt to address the sealant (June 2019) was a total failure. Not only did they seal the fireplace to the point where months later, it's still sticky to the touch. They damaged our walls (used the wrong type of tape that pulled paint off the walls) and our flooring (overspray from the color was left on our floors around the base of the fireplace). The worst part was that they left the house in that condition and refused to come back out to address it. In fact, Alfredo (and his manager Irma) refused to return numerous phone calls we made to try to get them to come back out to fix the damage they caused. After speaking to irma on Friday afternoon, June 28, she committed to call me back on Monday with a resolution and I'm still waiting to hear back from anyone at ProCal. (And I have the phone records to prove it.) We suspect that part of this refusal to engage was designed to let the 1 year warranty expire so that they could get paid for any additional work. We went ahead and addressed the paint and flooring damage ourselves. The limestone itself has not proven to be a good solution. It does not wear well (chips and crumbles easily) and the sticky sealant is a nuisance. We will eventually have to find another solution for our fireplace. We wish we had never heard of ProCal Stone and would strongly urge anyone considering them for an interior residential solution to BEWARE. #Untrustworthy #MoneyGrab #VeryUnprofessional
