5 Stars mostly because of dealsies! I went in looking for an entrance and then realized the actual cookie outlet is across the road in a white building. This place is fantastic. It's clean and is filled with buckets full of bags of cookies and chocolate. You can buy Toblerone boxes for $4 or bags of Caramilk (10) for $7 flat. Lots of bags of cookies for $3-$6 depending on what you get. I bought a giant bag of Chips-Ahoy! in packages of 4 for $5. I've been handing them out like crazy and still have so many left. I need to hand out more because I realized yesterday how easy it is to eat them when they are just lying around (4 packs in 25 minutes or so = 17 cookies because one pack had 5 cookies). Yes, these are overstock, imperfect or just packaging error cookies. Some cookies will be broken, some packages may not have been cut properly and some may have 5 cookies in them. Solid deal especially if you want to be nice and hand out to friends on the cheap. Will be back somewhat soon. I love cookies! read more

Peek Freans Outlet Store - The front of the actual outlet - Bakeries Near Me - Toronto, Ontario

So the cookies are only $0.50 cheaper. The had crispers chips..5 bags in a big bag sealed for $6.00 . I figured it was a good price. When i came home to open the big bag..only 3 bags were full bags the others had barely a handful so it worked out to be the same price as the stores when on sale. Bits and bites were $2.00 same as the store. Crackers were $2.85 same ...not worth the drive for the same price or being fooled by lots of bags but really they are not. read more

Love love love this place. Always something new, stock is constantly changed according to what is being baked at the factory across the road. All the new products can be found here (Triscuit Smoked Gouda flavoured crackers $2 a box) and standards (Ritz, Oreo, Peak Frean). They are sold in regular packaging, packages without the boxes (just the cellophane wrapper), and huge bulk bags of seconds/broken/underweight packages. Great place to get small packages for treats for lunches, huge quantities for cheap, new products, totally unhealthy. Cookies, crackers, even Cadbury chocolates. Word of warning, if you see something you like - buy it right away. Some items go very fast within a couple of days. We visit about every 3 - 4 months and stock up for ourselves, family, neighbours, friends. Even if you buy a huge bulk bag, you can divide it up for others. Enjoy. read more

WOAH. You tell me: Are not "cookie" and "outlet" the best two words that could possibly be combined on a huge sign? YES. This is a place worth the drive, even if you live on the west end. We don't - we're East Yorkers... I'm just sayin;... it's amazing. Mr. Rosie S. and I spent $15. Here is what we left with: 1. Two boxes of Fruit Creams - $1.50 each 2. Two trays of Oatmeal cookies (without outer box) - a la Dad's - $1.50 each 3. Bag of Ritz Chips - $2 4. Jumbo box of Premium Plus crackers - $2 6. GIANT bag (think half-size garbage bags) full of 4-packs of Chips Ahoy! cookies... there must be a couple hundred in there... HALLOWEEN treats, anyone??? We'll be returning at the end of October for suresies. And it was $5. For reals. Five bucks. Bring this to a party and you have instant popularity... AND you only spent a fiver. Awesomesauce. Sac o'cookies!!! There are even bigger bags full of messed-up cookies, but they looked a little gross, and we could never in a million years eat them quickly enough that they wouldn't go stale! They take all forms of payment and will help you out to your car if you are buying enough cookies to feed your small village... which some people were totally doing. We went on a Saturday, early afternoon, and it was busy. It was also two weeks before school starts again, and there were clearly lots of families stocking up on school lunch supplies. (Another great use for this place!) Location has moved from the factory proper (off of O'Connor) to a plaza across the way off of Bermondsey. OH MY COOKIE HEAVEN. Chocolate chips, frosting in between, plain, whatever you can name. Peek Freans doesn't just sell Peek Frean cookies. I fact, they sell a lot of Mr. Christie cookies as well. I love coming in to puchase their PACKS of animal crackers, minion cookies and the baked crisps (ketcup flavour, though they don't always have it). For about eight to ten packs of animal crackers (Mr. Christie in the yellow bags), it's only $3-$4. Same with the mini minion packs. DELICIOUS. The baked crisps were $1.75, much cheaper than what you can get out at supermarkets, and y'know THE BEST PART?!?! THEY'RE FRESH! They also sell chocolate and gum on the side sometimes. The first time I dropped by, I was under the HORRIBLE misconception this was a bakery. HA! So I was thinking that like Bread Outlets, there would be bakers in the back, and that their cookies/sweets are packaged there, to be sold at other bakeries and donut shops and the like and the reason you were saving money was because you were cutting the middle man and purchasing them from source. I was SO wrong and a bit sad too. As I generally try to eat healthy and I avoid your typical, run-of-the-mill grocery store cookie brands. Which is basically what Peak Freans sells... for cheap. For, really, really, cheap. However the company I came with was in heaven. You can find a number of brands and although the savings are all in the $1 to $2.50 per package, if you purchase a FEW items then you can really, really feel the savings. As my cookie partner in crime came to find out when she bought $20 worth of cookie and candies which we figured would have cost over $40 in retail. Specially when some items are not only price reduced but also in "SPECIAL!" Which apparently happens often. This is a quite the find if you want to buy sweets for large groups, parties, holidays and of course, Halloween. Although far and in the middle of nowhere, specially if you are not in the East End, it is definitely worth checking out, specially if one of the above events is coming soon. Holy cookies!! On my visit today they had large quantities, but not too too much variety. It is an outlet, so selection may be vast or limited depending on the day you visit. I spent $16 in total. Got a GIANT bag of Chips Ahoy individual packs, a bag of Chips Ahoy thinsations, a bag of Digestives and a package of Chocolate Creme Oreos. People aren't lying when they say it's half a garbage bag full. I was curious as to the stats of these cookies, so I actually started to sort and count but then just got lazy and stopped. In this bag of $5 cookies, there were 65 packages that were stuck together and not properly sealed in the middle. After counting those and seeing the rest, I kinda gave up with the counting as I was running out of room to sort. I'd say there were around 40 more packs of cookies in the bag. out of the 40, almost half of them are either very crushed or not full packs, and the other half are close to "normal". A couple of cookies got out and were in the bag itself as well. The packaging is crap and you will have some broken cookies (which is why they are sold at the outlet). You will likely have to get some Ziploc bags for these as most can't just be thrown in a lunch bag (unless you like cookie crumbs over everything). Those Ziploc bags will cost more than the cookies. With approx. 100-110 cookies in a bag at $5, that works out to a penny for each cookie. Having said that, I'll be back. Just likely not this year as I have enough cookies to last me a year! One thing to note though.. The review that Rosie had left had me pass the place entirely since I didn't see it on the south side as she had stated. Had to turn around and try again. This place is nifty. Most of the stuff is packaged just like you'd find in the supermarket for a buck or two cheaper (we happened to go to Superstore right after here and checked, all of our items were a savings of $1 - $1.70 per package). There are smashed up mutant cookies that are in clear bags if you care even less about presentation for next to nothing. I got some berry cream oreos (wtf?) for $2. They are delicious. Chunks Ahoy for $2. Chocolate covered pretzels in little 100 cal packs for $1.75. There was tons of stuff I wanted to buy but had to exercise some self control to avoid diabetes. Peek Freans Assorted Tea Biscuits - Change for the Worse A box of Peek Freans Assorted Tea Biscuits - my family's favourite for many years - no longer includes 6 varieties but has been downgraded to 4. Only the original Digestive and Shortbread have made it through the mincer. The Rich Tea, Petite Beurre, Nice and Raisin Sugar biscuits are all gone. This product is no longer worth buying and I've taken it off my shopping list. read more

Some of the items in boxes don't have a big difference in price with the grocery store ( especially if they are on sale at the grocery store) but the real deals are the bags. I have been coming to this outlet store for several years for the great prices however over the last few months the prices on the regular boxed cookies & crackers have been going up. Now many of the prices are as high or higher than the local grocery stores. Broken & damaged items are the only bargains in this outlet. read more
